HELP!!!! No apps in titanium backup to restore. - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I recently installed cyanogen 10.1 for my note 10.1 N8010. It wouldn't install through CWM so I tried to install twrp through goo manager. It couldn't find a custom recover for my device so I flashed it through Odin. I was running android freedom at the time and had a nandroid of it. I wiped data in twrp, it said it would wipe data and cache only so I went ahead. After cyanogen flashed successfully I tried it out and downloaded titanium backup to restore my apps, they weren't there!!! Every restore option had a zero beside it, I checked the titanium backup folder to no avail. I decided to restore to android revolution as I had a backup. When I went to restore there were no files. No backup. I checked the clockworkmod folder and found the file but when I click properties it says - where size should be. Please help me as this is not my fault and I have a lot of important data in the backup. :crying:

Just check on your internal memory , there should be a folder named "0" , if you have this you will find all your titanium backup & CWM folder inside.

There's no "0" folder, would it be insidea folder itself or just on the SD card because I checked the SD card and is not there. :'(

Just move this to the root of the internal memory, get into CWM & you can restore your rom from there.

OK, I'll try but I don't think it's going to work.

nope
I tried to restore in twrp and when it said to select files to restore nothing appeared, if the backup was made in CWM do I have to flash CWM recovery to restore it?

Nope, didn't work, I'll just move my phone apps to the tablet and down load the rest. Thanks anyway

Wait
Wait, in my storage it says clockworkmod is taking up 3.01GB, that cant be empty space, It might all be blobs, ca someone explain this to me?

[Q] Proper directory for CWM BACKUP

Long story short I accidentally deleted my sd cards contents by partitioning it. I luckily have a CWM backup saved to my computer. So I just dragged the file to my sd card via my Mac. When I go into CWM and try to do an advanced restore I get "Couldn't open directory no files found". Simple fix if someone could tell me the proper name of the folder and where it needs to be. As always any help will get you a great big THANKS.
/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
Thanks for that. In my desire to get organized I renamed the folder CWM Recovery. I'll put it back to normal and let you no how it goes.
ok np bro let me know how it goes
Worked like a charm. All my apps are back. Thanks for the quick reply. Must of been some pretty advanced artillery!
lol...nope just the good smell of that wolf pus**. (if your wondering, its an artillery thang)

WOW. My very first thread has come back from the dead. Sweet.
deeprocks,
Not really sure what your trying to do or what version of recovery your using. But for CWM it will always be under clockworkmod/backup. I am not familiar with your device but if you have internal and external storage the newer versions of CWM let you select where to backup too/restore from. Look into that. Also try asking this question in your phones sub-forum. Good luck.

And how do I find them in CWM? When I go into recovery it says no files found. Would I be better off flashing TWRP? And by the way they are there!!!

In Root Explorer (or whatever root explorer you use) you can simply copy the CWM folder from /mnt/sdcard/0 to mnt/sdcard. After moving all the data you wish to keep from the 0 folder to the sdcard folder you could delete the 0 folder.
what is /0? I found the files but don't know what this means? I am still such a noob after all these years!

That is the 0 folder in your sdcard folder. It is created when you flash a 4.2 ROM.

Sorry I go to bed early and go to work early. I still don't find a folder with /0. I can go into mnt/sdcard and clockwork is in there. But doesn't show at all in recovery. Am about to give up! Driving me crazy~~
Still not showing restore files in recovery. I can do a backup and can see it as a restore but after a while (less than a day) it is gone. So tired of this. Still wondering if TWRP would be better?????????

Nothing there. Tells me 'no files found'. I would love to restore to the last one cuz my battery sucks right now. What about CWM from the market? Could downloading that help???? Thinking out loud here!!!
Ok I did a backup to the external sd card and found it. Then went into root manager and copied one of the backups that I couldn't access and moved it into the new backup folder on the external sd card. Renamed it to just the date like the new one....in other words took the word 'copy' out of the name. And I got to restore to my previous back up!!!!!! Yes Yes Yes!!!! Thanks for ya'll's help!! I guess I had to get mad to figure it out with help!!! Thanks again!!!!
Now flash twrp and see if you have the same problems.

I think I will leave it the way it is for right now. And I found the /0 when I had phone connected to puter. I was getting rid of roms on the sd that I didn't like and was searching around on the internal sd and found it. Thank you so very much for your help! I will probably flash twrp next weekend. I really need my phone for work! So I only try to brick it on the weekends!

[Q] Restore from backup on galaxy s3

A couple of days ago, I installed android 4.2.2 liquidsmooth on my galaxy s3 i9300. Before installing this custom ROM, I took a backup into external SD card. I see the folder to which I had taken a backup and files like boot.img, recovery.img are there in this folder. Now I want to restore to my old state but when I go to recovery mode and select backup and restore > restore, it says no such files directory found. It is unable to recognize the backed up files. How do I go about restoring?

When I took a backup, it was stored in internal storage under /clockworkmod directory. I copied that folder to external SD. I'm unable to restore from external SD card and also from internal storage. If I select backup and restore > restore, it says no such files found. Am I missing something?

Try installing disk analyzer and try to locate a folder which can be in scales of a rom size, if you can find it great, otherwise something went wrong during backup
If you can take another backup then great otherwise its something you can't do anything about.

And what you are saying is that there is content in clockworkmod folder but of negligible size? Can you post a screenshots of clockworkmod folder?
Trust me use disk analyzer it can find some unknown things
check #2
there i found my backup
(be careful: i tried to flash a custom (so also formatted system+data) and when i wanted to return to my backup i discovered it was erased )

Deleting nandroid backup made in CWM?

OK, so I originally had CWM recovery on my tablet and I created a nandroid backup through there to my internal tablet memory which used up like 5.5gb of my 11.95gb of usable space. Shortly after making the backup I decided to flash twrp recovery instead...
Now, how can I delete the CWM backup without having to reflash CWM recovery??
Just deleted the file

Thats just it, there is no file! The folder shows as being empty! I read somewhere that CWM now stores the backups as blobs or something like that and that you cannot see them using file explorers.
Edit: Nevermind. I finally found it! It was not in the normal internal sdcard folder like I expected... It was actually buried in the root of the device at /data/media/clockworkmod/backup
