samsung galaxy sIII at&t baseband - General Questions and Answers

Hello all.
i have a samsung galaxy sIII at&t version i747
i have it rooted and i have PhilZ Touch 6 Recovery installed.
i flashed the " [ROM] [5.0] Samsung Galaxy S3 [d2att] [Nightly] LiquidSmooth " build
this build works fine but i would like to install " [ROM] [5.0] CM12 D2att Alpha Builds [12/12] "
in the instructions they keep mentioning the " NE4 " baseband ; however i noticed i have a later baseband version " I747UCUFNJ1 "
i would like to install CM12 rom but would like to know if this is going to be an issue.
any help would be appreciated.

Hi Xobus,
The banseband is completely apart of rom mechanism. So basically you can flash any rom. As they mention NE4 modem/bootloader and you have later one, yes you can flash it.
And I strongly suggest you to make some backups before in case you need to rollback.

Thank you for your reply
thats good to know.
i really dont want to wind up softbricking my phone or worse.
and yes i learned from my older android flashing adventures to always make a backup.
(actually i have that backup saved to my pc just incase)
i have used cyanogenmod in the past and i just prefer it;
so anyway now that i know that i'll flash to cm12.

check the second post.
If you are on the stock ROM, you would have to flash a custom recovery first. After that you can directly flash CM10.1, no need for any intermediate steps

StraightTalk Galaxy S4 SM-S975l Lollipop (5.0.2)

Good News!!! I found and tested a 5.0.2 Lollipop Custom Rom on the SM-S975l Straight Talk Galaxy S4. The Rom is Dirty Unicorns V9 is a highly customable Rom made for T-mobile's Galaxy S4, the SGh-M919. It did nothing to the baseband which is only difference in these phones. Everything I've tested works great, such as The Cellular Network, WiFi, Video, Camera.. It's a lot faster than the current Rom.
Download Dirty Unicorns V9.. 90
Download your choice of Google Apps.
Using TWRP or other recovery
Make backup of EFS or everything.
Do factory reset
Wipe data, system, and EFS files
Then install downloaded zip using TWRP.

Hey, I don't know if you're still watching this thread, but if you are, have you had any issues using this ROM on this phone?
I ask because I'm currently running the Beanstalk Lollipop build on my phone, and everything mostly works, but I get a few force closes, and the Bluetooth doesn't work at all. I'm trying to find a good alternative.

[Completed] Instructions on how to update ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.6.6-20160401-jfltetmo

Hello!
There are so many threads on Resurrection Remix that I can't make heads or tails on how to update my ROM. I've gone into settings and went into Configurations > Updates and it tells me that it cannot check for updates. I am currently downloading the latest nightly from the official resurrectionremix.com website. Will this nightly be compatible? I don't want to install the wrong build.
My device is a Samsung Galaxy S4 Canadian i377m running v5.6.6-20160401-jfltetmo.
Can someone help me maneuver through all these threads?
Solution to "Unable to install this rom on my i337m (bell canada)"
I found a way around the problem I was facing. I own a Samsung Galaxy S4 i337m Telus (jfltecan) and had problem updating from v5.6.6 to v5.7.4 because there wasn't an upgrade anywhere. But I located a another one for a different device and flashed a different TWRP, rather than using jfltecan, or jfltemo or jflteatt which none of these would flash...I ended up using jfltexx (https://dl.twrp.me/jfltexx/twrp-3.0.2-0-jfltexx.img.tar.html) instead and it worked. Then I searched for a RR ROM that was compatible with jfltexx with the version v5.7.4 and it worked flawlessly!
Here is the compatible ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop/rom-resurrection-lollipop-v5-5-5-t3195202
Hope this helps somebody!

Galaxy S2 - TWRP and LineageOS

Hello, let my introduce you to my dilema. I am quite new to this and I would like to ask what to do. I have rooted my Galaxy S2 GT i9100 with Odin in order to install Neat ROM 2 years ago. Now i would like to install TWRP and LineageOS which my friend recommended to me. How does it work? Should I install TWRP over odin? Because it looks like I already have some kind of recovery installed with Neat ROM (Apolo by pedestre - it is written in the recovery mode) And then it should be easy to wipe all data and install LineageOS through TWRP right? Can you please explain to me all these things and how should I proceed. Thank you.
My device:
Samsung Galaxy S2
Model number: GT-I9100
