@XenoMorphv2
I have installed this ROM and found a bug or say problem
SD Card is not being mounted when connecting USB either select Ask,Charger,or Mount card in the USB Settings

Bro solution on first page but if you cant understand, do this stetps:
first open security app in homescreen
go permission tab and allow root permissions
than you have to install *multi mount SD apk*(you can install from google play or etc it s free app)
and open this app, allow root permission
Tick MTP Fix
Reboot the device and native storage will work

As there are again and again discussions concerning the minfree settings in CM12 roms, I decided to open this thread. If a moderator thinks, this is the wrong place for this thread, just move it, to where it belongs.
Obviously, since the last builds of CM12, the settings for minfrees cause some trouble. After a clean install of any rom, the minfree settings in trickstermod and in fauxclock are completely empty. In fauxclock the settings for OOM (out of memory) Score as well. Some people entered them manually, but I'm afraid, this won't help.
To really solve this, you have to do the following steps: open your file explorer, go to sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters. There you will find 5 files. Two of them do not have correct permissions. The first one, called adj, is for the OOM Scores. The other one, called minfree, is, you won't guess it, for the minfrees. :fingers-crossed:
As you see, both of them have only write permissions, but no read permissions. So I guess, the system will ignore these settings completely. I checked this, using cool tool from play store, very nice tool to show for example the actual free ram in your status bar. And in deed, the ram went down to 25MB, after I had opened a handful apps, and then my phone stopped working. I only could do a reboot.
Now the solution, which is quite easy: change the permissions into rw-rw-rw (666), and maybe change the group under owners into root (I'm not sure, if this is necessary, but it does make no problems, so why not).
Et voilĂ  - if you now open trickstermod or fauxclock again, you will see the preset parameters. As you can see also, the minfrees there are really high. In another thread, there have been suggested the following settings, which are a good standard:
trickstermod 48/60/72/84/96/120
fauxclock 12288/15360/18432/21504/24576/30720
Important: In fauxclock, the minfree settings are not made in MB. You have to enter the so called "pages" for minfrees, which I can't explain exactly, what this is. In general, if you want to change minfrees in fauxclock, just take the settings in MB, you want to, and multiply by 256. This will give you the correct values.
BTW I don't think, it's a good idea, to change the OOM Scores, as long as you do not know exactly, what you're doing.
So, hopefully I could help a bit and clear some things up. But the final question to the CM devs remains:
is this a bug or is this a feature?

Everything works fine. But, after a reboot all the established rights go back. How can I leave permanently?

Which rom do you run exactly? And what are the settings, it goes back to? Actually i'm searching for a way, to make settings via an init.d script, which should make them permanently. But this might still take a while - I am a beginner.

I have [ROM][5.0.2][21-DEC] CyanogenMod 12 Lollipop . I come all the way and it works perfectly. With the replacement of rights and setting Minfree no reboot or closing app. ( I use free Memory Manager app from Play Store)

I've installed the same Rom, in my case the permissions are set to rw-rw-rw. Everything works fine with these settings, so no reason, to change anything Even though I would like to know, why the settings do not persist.
I am also a beginner. ) I just wrote rw-rw-rw. But after reboot Memory Manager it can not see and enter the settings. But if you go to the folder and replace it again rw rw rw, everything returns correctly.

Sorry to be this blunt, but you shouldn't try fooling with blobs if you don't have the basic skills required to compile a binary. Start by Googling something like "compile tutorial"

Wrong forum dude...that's for SII Plus...That's what you're looking for -> [Guide][Root+CWM] Samsung Trend plus GT-S7580
Flashing RR 5.4.6. on my wife's phone, s2vep, TWRP-2.6.30, flashed via Odin 3.09.<br />
It says it's "patching system image unconditionally" for 10-15 min now.<br />
Is this normal?<br />

Hi! I tried installing first TRWP, then CWM, first via Odin then via Zipfile, because I wanted to install a custom ROM on my i9105p. All recoveries worked, but the problem is that NONE of them, no matter what type (TRWP or CWM) or version I install, are able to mount my External SD card! An error comes out like:
Code:
E:Can't mount /storage/sdcard1
Error mounting /storage/sdcard1
That is where I put the zipfile of the ROM, and if the recovery cannot mount it, cannot flash it.
I also tried formatting it, in different FS (FAT32, exFAT...) in Windows, and also to format it directly in CWM, but it does not recognize it. Just as if it didn't see it.
How can this be possible? What can I do? I don't know if I can just flash the ROM copying it into the internal storage memory instead than external SD card... I don't want to mess all up...

hi.
Hello:
I brush the CM11 is very smooth, but google input method previously used virtual keyboard corresponding to a physical keyboard in use CM12.1 time, CM11 is no way? Thank you.
Root Explorer Doesn't Work
I've been trying for several hours to install the 04-27 version. Before I was using the official 0216 nightly. I'm currently stuck with no phone, data, or wifi service and can't copy sdcard0 back, and I think it's because I can't get root explorer to work in ES File Manager or the default File Manager.
When I try to enable root explorer in ES, it tells me "Sorry, test failed. This feature cannot run on your device."
I first tried flashing the cm11 rom from twrp, booted normal, power off (have to unplug cable for that to work), then boot into twrp and flash superuser zip. That didnt work so I've tried booting to twrp and flashing both cm11 and superuser together, still same results.
I'm pulling out my hair here, I want phone service back.... what is going wrong! How do I get superuser back and restore my [email protected] Help!
Please don't crosspost - it dilutes the community effort and is kind of rude.
Your question was already answered by the OP in the main thread.
Build Questions
Hello,
I'm trying to build an image, based on your repository and CM-11.
I checked out:
Code:
repo init -u https://github.com/mionica/android.git -b cm_cm-11.0
repo sync
Running breakfast fails no matter if I select:
cm_moto_msm8960_jbbl-user or
mionica_moto_msm8960_jbbl-user
Error: Can not locate config makefile for product "mionica_moto_msm8960_jbbl".
Also isn't the path supposed to be "device/motorola/moto_msm8960_jbbl", instead of "android":
Code:
<project path="android" name="mionica/android_device_motorola_moto_msm8960_jbbl" remote="mionica" revision="cr_kk_xt897" />
Thank you!

[HELP] Renamed /system/xbin, lost root, no firmware for Mstar TV

History here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-tv/android-sticks/help-how-to-root-mstar-android-tv-t3345397
Before you think, what an idiot, allow me to accept that yes I am in this case. And moving on from there:
I successfully rooted my MStar Android TV with "KingRoot4.1-release-20150703-for-xda"
After I installed busybox, the television lost it's ability to connect with WIFI but thankfully LAN is working.
I searched the internet and came to understand that busybox is the culprit. I remember it asked me to install in /system/xbin. So I thought I'd replace the /system/xbin files with a copy from another same rooted TV. I thought I should backup the current files just incase and (here comes the idiot part) I renamed the xbin folder to xbin123.
Now, I've lost root and wifi both. KingRoot won't work without WIFI for somereason and I can't su from xbin123 directory as it gives an error. I have tried setting path to the directory but that doesn't work either.
Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
Please keep in mind that the TV doesn't connect with laptop via USB. And I don't have the firmware for the TV either :-/
