Eureka! A qi tpu bumper!! - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

After ordering every single bumper off EBAY, I found one that fits perfectly wroth the QI BACK ON! holy cow at long last. I have a lip so I can set it face down, and everything fits and works. And it's only 4$I

Awesome. Link maybe? ?

LINK!!!!!!......please

That's the best I can do. I can't pay a link

Here's a link to the sellers store, with pre-search "Note 4".
There are a few different tpu cases for about $4 bucks there. Maybe this one is what the op got?
....I have that same tpu case and Samsung Qi back cover, if i'm not lazy i'll swap them both out (using stock back and ringke slim atm) and confirm that it works. On a side note, I'm generally not a fan of tpu cases, but that one in above link is nice, very 'grippy' and not much of a gooey/slippery/mushy feeling of most tpu cases i've tried in the past.
OK, I decided to do it. I can confirm that it does *not* fit, with tpu case I linked to. I did get mine from a different seller but it looks identical both inside and out. The case does stay on over the samsung qi back cover, it locks over the top and bottom edge but is slightly pulled back on the long sides causing the buttons to not match up very well.

You should just do the wireless charging mod. I have four cases that I use and they all work with Qi Wireless.

Wow... B u m p e r....

And dude, do you understand the word " bumper" you linked a case, B U M P E R

http://m.ebay.com/itm/121474337913?nav=SEARCH

There I linked it. See where it says TPU BUMPER case, yeah that's what that is. This one fits. The way it's made works with the QI back. The other 2 I bought from different sellers did not

The reason I don't do the mod some say is so easy..... Well some of us are not as tech savvy as others, and are not comfortable taking apart a back plate to remove the coil. It is also cheaper to spend 5$ and not ruin anything. Plus Samsung had to have a reason for making the back bigger. It would have been cheaper for them too to just use the existing back cover they already manufactured and just add the coil to it. I imagine there were concerns over the heat maybe. Anyway I would just rather not worry about damaging my phone. It has a lot of things on it for my job, and plus I like it. Lol

Can you post some pictures of the bumper on your phone?

you could do the qi charge pad insert. just stick it on and use any b u m p e r

Just got one today and can confirm, great fit. Thanks big70tom.

Looks pretty much just as shown on the link.

So it looks like they don't have a 100% clear one. Bummer. Always something. Why did they have to add that ugly colored edging? I just want a 100% clear tpu bumper with hard TPU, not the rubbery kind.

[Q] Belt holster/clip for G2 with Otterbox

Ive been looking for a belt clip/holster for my G2 with the Otterbox Commuter since I got it. Id like to be able to clip my phone in to a belt clip that would hold it with the screen facing me and allow me to remove it with one hand. I saw this on ebay origionally then followed a link to their page.
http://www.slipgripcarmounts.com/SlipGrip-125-Bike-G2-HTC-Desire-Z-OtterBox-Commuter_p_94932.html
Its similar to what Im looking for but I need some sort of belt clip and Id like to have the screen facing my body to be protected. Anyone have any other ideas?

well there are a few belt cases customed to desire z and even fewer that can hold a desire z with a thick case. this is just a solution if you cant find anything, i have found that a blackberry bold 9000 belt clip case fits very well on the desire z and there is a little extra room that you can use to fit your case in too

Arent you so special...
I'd recommend the Speck universal holdster. They are hard to find but are worth every penny because they fit any phone with a hard case.
Found this on Ebay says its a vertical case that will hold a G2 with Otterbox shell. I just ordered one and haven't received it yet. Will let you all know how it fits after I receive it... Plus they are 50% off original price now...

G2 Otterbox Holster
The case is the perfect size for the G2 with otterbox. It fits in there nice and snug. The belt clip is not the kind that can comes off. It will spin 360 degrees. Its a very sturdy belt clip. It looks like imitation leather. The stitching seems to be pretty good also. Pretty nice all around holster for the G2 with otterbox... Only thing I see is the magnet for the flap is not as strong as I would like it to be. But it does the job, it will not open up if you shake it or turn it upside down. In my opinion it is definitely worth the few dollars.

I was going to buy the speck universal holster but after watching the video it seems like it would be a hassle to get the phone out of the holster. By stretching the springs apart...

thanks! yeah, the speck holster does require a two handed removal and can be a pain. after a few uses though, it does loosen up enough to be quite easy... but still requires both hands. I've had mine for over a year now and am quite used to it. I had a large vertical pouch before it (much like yours) but it would get stuck sometimes. the shell case I have is the HTC oem one and seems to have more sticky rubber grip than the otterbox. well, enjoy your new case!

[Q] Case recommendations?

Sorry about another "case recommendation" thread, but my question is a little different.
I need a case that can be removed relatively quickly due to the phone not fitting in my car dock if there is a case attached. I really want the Otterbox Commuter case, but unfortunately it would be a hassle to have to remove it and put it on every time I want to use my car dock.
So, any good case recommendations for the Skyrocket which can be easily and quickly removed?
you have the seidio "surface combo" (case+holster). the bottom of the case can be removed as necessary.
http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-skyrocket-surface-case-holster-black-p/bd2-hr3sssky-bk.htm
look at this post: you can see some pictures of the surface and the active cases.

I ordered a SEIDIO surface case/holster combo (AKA Best buy Platinum Series). Had one on my Captivate and it was a breeze to put on and take off.
I'm currently using a cheap tpu case I bought off ebay to use until the Seidio became available. It's really easy to install and remove also.
I bough this one...

Decent case though. Easy on/off and slides in and out of pants pocket without dragging/sticking like some silicone cases do. Matte finish doesn't show fingerprints/smudges either.
Otterbox Commuter Series is the only way to go!
Otterboxes have just gotten too big IMO. When the phone quadruples in thickness, its too big.

Yeah. I've used that series on my last three phones. My Otter for the SR came yesterday and I'm quite happy with it. It comes with a screen protector like my others did but that wasn't specified when I ordered it from their site. I bought an invisible shield when I bought the phone but haven't installed it yet. I can probably return that to Best Buy for the $20 or $30 it cost me. I have one on my 64G iTouch and I'm not sure it doesn't have a negative impact on the touch screen's responsiveness. Make sure you get the Commuter. They make three models for this phone. The Defender is kind of obtrusive. I generally only recommend them for extremely klutzy people (ex-girlfriend) who I KNOW will drop the thing at least once a day. The low end is just a gel slip over that's worthless.
One thing I like about the Commuter is, it makes it much easier to push the power button without accidentally turning the volume all the way down which has happened several times. Who thought putting the power button opposite the volume rocker was a good idea? There's a reason they are almost always on different axes.

The Defender adds some size. The Commuter adds very little despite having a thin gel inner lining under the hard outer case.

Love the platinum series from best buy. got mine yesterday. Adds the least bulk of any case I've tried. Matte black, hard rubber feel.

Pretty sure this has a plastic backing, like any other case, and not a "bumper" design like Nexus 4.
I don't see in the pics any evidence of a back. I'll know soon enough. I'll report back. In the pics it shows nothing like a back
Tpu bumper very good
I RECIEVED my TPU bumper I ordered off Ebay. Very good. Reminds me of my Nexus4 bumper. S really hoping it would work with the QI backplate, but it doesn't. ALMOST.... But no. The bottom of the phone with the Qi case is just a tad in the way, so it doesn't allow the bumper to extend enough to keep the screen off the surface face down. Man, it would no take much of a change to make this work, I whisk someone would catch on and do it. They would sell a bunch. 6$ and it's everything I'd expect a true bumper to be. I'm still using it, just gotta wait I guess to use my TYLT VU

Has anyone tried the LG bumper case?

I read somewhere that it's just plastic.
Confirm the bumper is plastic, and just polished to look like metal bumper.
Who would think that's metal? It's freaking plastic
my favorite case hands down
I've had bumper cases for almost all my Android phones. But I've been going "naked" on the V10 as it appears to be designed to take somewhat more beating that most phones (I typically drop my phone like once a year). I did notice this LG OEM bumper case BUT it says it's for the F600 whereas I have the US H901. Does anyone know if there's an actual fit difference? Are any of the ports blocked? Thanks in advance.

OK, you convinced me. Ordered one from it's Korean homeland. Hopefully all the port cut-outs are in the same place!
Received the OEM bumper case. Fit is perfect, no worries about regional variants. Quality of plastics and coloring matches very well with the V10. Corners and sides are well protected.
However, the side rails of the bumper are just as slick as the steel rails of the V10, so there's no added grip. The front face is raised so the screen is protected but I have a Yootech hardened glass protector on top already. The worst thing is the back bumper is only raised at the bottom, so when flipped over the whole phone is resting on the bottom bumper and the camera lens! That's probably not much worse than originally but I expected better of an OEM bumper case. The port cut-outs are very accurate but the case seems "thicker" than other bumper cases I have used so you have to be more aware of how things plug in and possible microphone blockage.
Overall I would NOT recommend buying this bumper case, unfortunately there don't appear to be many alternatives.

Better than Obliq?
Used this bumper case since release and i haven't took it off once. Only thing is the bottom where the charger connects can be at times difficult.Hard to plug in other chargers. i ended up taking a gold piece off the bottom and it works perfect. The *plastic case* has taken all the damage but i rather damage the case then my actual phone. Works if you have a wireless charging battery cover/nfc. It doesn't look bad at all, and its not bulky. recommended
You don't want it if you have a second battery and swap batteries a lot. I've had 3 of them and all broke at one corner eventually. Longest one lasted was 2 months, others made it maybe a month. After the first broke I was very easy on the others but it didn't matter. The plastic eventually gets a stress crack and as soon as that appears it will be broke soon.
I notice they are a lot cheaper than when I bought them around when the phone came out. For $20 worth a shot, it was a cool case just garbage for what I paid. They were over $40 a piece.

Yeah, I get the feeling this case isn't good for regular removal. My old bumper case for the Note 3 was all silicon/rubber material and came off very easily. This one has hard plastic parts that seem very fragile from the first use.

Which is very disappointing, i don't like cases but after the first fall of this phone leaving an ugly dent i got a generic bumper with clear plastic on the back - it's ugly and would rather spend the $20 or so on the OEM case... but i swap batteries occasionally too...

I have a Extended Case for my G4 cause I have 3 Extended Batteries for my G4 and they all have that bumper like feature

Anyone have the Spigen [Ultra Hybrid S] Metal KickStand [Crystal Clear] ?

I can't seem to find anyone with this case. No reviews or actually picture of the case besides the advertisement images on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Spige...d=1472076672&sr=8-3&keywords=note+7+kickstand
I have the VRS one but I find the bumper too thick so it makes it harder to handle the phone. Feels like I'm on my note 4 again. Trying to see if the Spigen is the same. Also I can't tell if the Spigens kickstand is just taped on the back or if it's actually sitting in a cutout hole on the back of the case.
I ordered one of the spigen kickstand cases but I haven't received it yet, they've been backordered according to there site, mine shipped today, so I'll check how they attached them, and reply with those results when I get my case.
I just got mine today. I think it's pretty thin. As for the kickstand, it's definitely glued on to the hard back and not dropped into a cut out. The stand is fairly flat, about as thick as 1.5 quarters. I don't feel it when holding the phone because my hand is a little bit cupped. The top and bottom of the case is raised a little so the screen doesnt touch the surfacce when laid face down. So far I like the case. For 11.99 shipped, i think its a great deal.
Thank you. That's what i was afraid of. The VRS kick stand is in a cutout so the stand is very low profile. But the bumper is thick. Probably a good 3mm all the way around. That is why im looking at the spigen one.
Here are some pictures of how the case looks like when it's on the phone. I also put a quarter side by side with the kickstand to show the thickness of it and a picture of how it looks when the phone is lying on its back.
Thanks for the pictures! Here is the VRS one.

I ended up getting the Ultra hybrid case without the kickstand and adding the kickstand myself. On amazon, you are able to add the kickstand for free if you purchase the spigen case. It made it nice since I had the option where to place the kickstand. The case was 9.99 when i bought it w/prime shipping. The raised bump from the kickstand doesn't cause any issues with me and is actually nice to have when holding the phone I have found.
How do you add it to a 3rd parry case. Does not stick on? Is it removable / moveable?

How do you add it to a 3rd parry case. Does not stick on? Is it removable / moveable?

You can at it to a third party case or even the phone directly if you buy it separately on amazon or directly from spigen. It is not movable once mounted though so make sure you know where you want it before sticking it on.

No problem. Concerns about wireless charging and my car mount were the reasons I wanted to do it myself as well.

I may mod the case and drill a hole for the kickstand so it will be more flushed. [emoji16]

I got the Galaxy Note 7 Case, SpigenĀ® [Crystal Hybrid] Metal Kickstand [Metal Slate] Clear TPU / PC Frame Slim Dual Layer Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (2016) - 562CS20386
that actually has tje kickstand sitting in a cutout of the tpu back. I didnt want the metal scratching my n7 so I cut a little liner from the original back plastic and covered the kickstand on inside.

Sorry its on my phone with a wet apply screen protector and I'm not moving it, its not pushing up my case atm. But if you hit up spigens site or amazon.ca you can see it ... the kickstand is the thickest part.
I can't post links yet.
Also I must say the black case on silver looks awesome. The floating effect is nice plus I allready had black magnetic plates for my car mount and they match the case .

Haha I hear ya. No worries. I dread it everytime I take of my case to try new ones I've bought. I'm gonna need to use my 2nd pair of screen protector soon cause of this. But I will check spigen site instead. Thank you.

Got the spigen and separate kickstand but I did not like the spigen case as the sides tapered into a point at the center. See attached image. So this makes it a bit weird to hold since it isn't flat or rounded off.
So I ended up buying the ringke fusion. Much better case. And I have cut a hole in it for the spigen kickstand. Having the kickstand at the center is much better. I can tap on the top left or right corners and does not tip over. Unlike the VRS with the kickstand on the bottom. My mod is more flushed so it doesn't interfere with the fast wireless charger.
Here's a close up of the ringke. No sharp edge.
Here is my mod which I need to redo as my dremmel slipped and scratched the case.
