I wiped my Internal Storage through TWRP because my laptop can't detect my One M8 and I thought wiping the internal storage would fix the problem. I have tried wiping Dalvik Cache, Data and Cache and none of it helps thus without reason I wiped the internal storage.
When I reboot, my lock screen doesn't show up so does my status bar (cant even slide down to show notification), and also my on screen buttons. I tried to re-flash the ROM, idk what else I should re-flash but it didn't solve the problem. And still my laptop cannot detect my One M8. Also there is no TWRP backup to restore my phone back to Sense 6 ROM. (maybe the wipe deleted the backup, idk, it was there before).
Someone help me, I don't think any mobile shops in my country can fix this problem. There is no one to help me here. I can't even sell the phone because no one would want to buy an already damaged phone. SO please I beg for your help. Anyone I would be grateful for your reply. Should you require any information to solve this problem I would do my best to provide you with it. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Need to know which M8 carrier version you have to point you towards help.
Also, try reinstalling HTC sync on your PC to restore drivers. If your computer won't see your device, you are not going to have much luck.

I will try that. How can I fix the lock screen, status bar and the onscreen navigation buttons not showing up? also google now launcher background is all black even when i change the wallpaper. A few days ago after I wiped the internal storage a "system.android has stopped" showed up which caused these problems. I did a reflash of the ROM and still the problem exists.
You need to tell me your carrier version, so I can point you towards help.
XDA Assist is here to help navigate the site, not for support. ?

Hi all,
Unfortunately my first post is to beg for help before I launch my phone out the window.
I have a UK o2 htc one x and the was a recent system update, since I applied that (which took forever) i have been unable to open any games or play any media without my phone crashing and completely restarting.
I have tried deleting all the caches, factory reset etc... still no joy.
I was going to roll it back and try reapplying the update so downloaded the relevant RUU and tried to apply it, unfortunately i am running into the CID error which some more googling etc said that to do what i wanted required a gold card, everything i have read says i need to use an SD card to do this, problem being the one X doesnt have one.
I am really a bit stuck as to what i can do/try at present that will make my phone work again.
If one of you has any brilliant ideas or you need more information I will gladly try anything right now
Thanks
Welcome to XDA. I believe you have posted in the wrong forum, as this one is for the LTE version. Good luck with your issue.
sorry, my mistake
I'll leave it open and a mod can move it? Rather than start a new thread
Hello everyone,
I just joined this forum and i need some help.
I've got a very wierd problem with my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0
Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 GT-P3110 model.
Android: ver. 4.1.2
So the story behind my tablet is that my dad bought it when he working in another country, when he came back he told me that he had a broken galaxy tab 2 and he asked me to try to fix it,the problem he reported was that the tablet sometimes restarts, alot of programs have crashes and the wierdest thing is that, when I turn it off and then turn on the device (or simply restart it) the system is restored to some earlier state, this includes:
1. Apps I've deleted are still installed.
2. Widgets or app shortcuts on 'home' pages are still on their old place though I've rearranged them.
3. Same with wallpapers.
4. Same with settings.
So i tried the following:
1. Factory reset + cache clean. Even though it is supposed to be a full system wipe, it doesn't work.
2. Reinstalling a Stock ROM via ODIN. Doesn't work either and it takes about an hour to do...it says it was successful but it doesn't change anything in the tablet.
Also there is a notice in android recovery, which states:
did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/feature.xml' (no data available)
This device wasn't rooted.
So i you would ask you guys for some help, thanks.

My line of thought is that if you do root it, you can format the system partition which would more than likely fix this issue. But like I said, more than likely, there's no guarantee because it might be a hardware issue. Have you considered sending it in for repair? Since it's not rooted they would do it. If you don't care to send it in and are just trying stuff to see if you can get it working again, then rooting it wouldn't hurt anything. But that's your choice.

OK, so here's where just rooting won't help. You have two options: 1) Find the stock ROM at Samsung and have it on your SD card. Or 2) choose another ROM. Whichever you choose is up to you. You're going to have to format your system in the custom recovery, by doing this your tab is wiped of all info including the stock ROM. If you format system you won't be able to boot into your tab without flashing another ROM after. If I'm repeating stuff you know, I apologize. You'll need the ROM you choose on your external sd card, because you'll want to completely format everything (except your ext sd). If you know all this, try it out and see if it helps. If you want to learn more and the steps, PM me, I'll help as much as I can!

Hi, i'm facing the same issue here. Then I've try to root the phone but failed. Can help me too Sir?
For now it can't repaired, It,s known as emmc brickbug, find the xda forum thru Playstore emmc brickbug check. In Indonesia there is website that claim can repair it by replacing the emmc chip/internal memory, but it's not proven yet, since no body in our Galaxy Tab 2 facebook group has confirmed it. More than 15 people in the group has reported this bug, and the only way to fix it is by replacing the mainboard in Samsung Service Center. I also have replaced my wife Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 mainboard with the same case. In Indonesia the cost is about US$100

Hey guys! This is my first time on the boards and of course, I'm in need of some big help. As of now, as the title states, I currently lack sim card functionality. Unfortunately, I believe this is in many ways is my fault as I was deleting some bloatware off my phone... the three that I deleted was the stock internet explorer, a T-Mobile application (forgot the name) and an app called "talk" all of which came on the phone. Everything was fine up until I restarted the phone. My phone is rooted. My backup failed, so I'm in the process of downloading the stock ROM, will that help? any info is appreciated at this point. Anyone has any idea on how to go about this?

Titanium Backup
Can't restore apps with Titanium Backup pro. Just hangs at 0%. Tried 12/24 and 12/22 release. Not the apps because I can install individually. enabled root for apps and adb and gave titanium root access. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.
I'm currently on bumpd cloudy stock 1.2 and cannot get illusion to flash either on my external or internal SD. What's the trick?
Idk what I'm doing wrong I'm coming from cm nightly. I'm trying to install this rom. I have cleaned flashed this like 5 times already with different downloads and I either get a boot loop or I get Google services crashes or I'm getting illusion home crashes. Some please help me. I'm so confused to why this isn't working..

External SD Issue
Am using as daily driver. Haven't been able to get it to recognize my 128 gb card. Have reformatted on both the phone and pc.
Clean install every time, wiped everything including both internal and external. Have tried what someone had suggested, install ROM, setup and then boot into recovery and install GAPPS. For now am using 64gb card. Any help would greatly appreciated. Great work, can't wait until this little hiccup is resolved.

Screen timeout

I'm starting to think that it's a CM12 issue, since I saw it in early versions of it before coming here.

Bluetooth issue
Hey i have been using this rom for a couple of days now and it is awesome. It definitely tops the other ROMs that I have tried for this phone by far. The only problem that I am having is that I cant get the Bluetooth to connect to anything. Is there anything that I can try to get the BT working?

WiFi not connecting.
Having an issue. Can't connect to WiFi at all. Networks show up but after putting in the password it immediately says saved and then connecting for a while, then back to saved. Endless loop but no actual connection. Anybody know how to fix this?
Finally got around to fixing the screen on my LG Lancet with Verizon (stock OS Lollipop), and it already had a factory reset on it so I figured I would try to root it again. I had success and started doing what I normally do; getting rid of system apps. One of these was the Setup Wizard.
Started getting notices on screen that setup wizard (and other apps I uninstalled) had failed. This made the phone unusable. So I did another factory reset thinking I would just root again without uninstalling system apps this time.
Now I am at setup screen and right as I am about done going through it ( email, language, wifi, etc) it fails and sends me back to beginning.
So now I either need help to get past the setup wizard, or to out the original OS on with all the system apps o it won't put me in this loop again.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately factory resetting will not bring back the missing apps, you may need to reinstall your original firmware. If you ask your question here
