The game is all nice and all, but some of my views and suggestions:
1. The picture that we can take from camera. It would be nice if we can snap a picture and then use it instantly for puzzle. Or another way of doing it is to select a picture from gallery. Constantly holding the phone upright isn't feasible for long time.
2. Some latency issue like the lowest right corner tile doesn't seem to move much times.
3. Ads come in the middle of some tiles. So is very disruptive. Maybe you can provide a donate version of the app. Ads on an app at early stage doesn't seem much lucrative.
But otherwise an innovative idea for puzzle.

Thank you for your suggestions I appreciate it. I could make a pro version without the ads and add in a 7x7 puzzle and the still image option to justify the price, I added the ads at the beginning because to be honest ads don't make much revenue as is and even with getting featured on xda it gave me a couple of dollars boost on a single day and then back to cents per day so I didn't have much hopes on getting so many downloads. I am taking it more as a hobby since you cannot really depend on advertisements as an income without spending a respectable amount of money on advertisement campaigns. Plus it is very rare to find an app that does not include ads or iAP and usually these apps are apps like instagram that aim for a big fat paycheck at the end which I don't foresee for this application. Thanks for your feedback!
Edit : I will check the latency of the tile as soon as possible.

This is my first game, I've put a decent amount of time into it, it's called Soccer Juggle. There are a few apps like it already, but mine is different because:
It supports local multiplayer (2 and 3 balls)
It supports bluetooth phone to phone multiplayer (2 balls only)
It has 50 different campaign mode levels.
It has different level modifiers.
It doesn't have "static physics" but instead makes it more difficult the longer you've had a combo, making high scores difficult.
Anyways, leave me some feedback, the app will cost $.99 when I release it, there will also be a trial version without bluetooth, 3 ball multiplayer, or levels 21-50.
The version I just uploaded will expire June 15th 2011 at Midnight 2011, depending on it's status on that date I may upload a new version with an extending expire date.
Finally, thanks to the informative sticky at the top of this subforum, I have submitted this as a draft apk to my account and it can't be stolen!
Please don't hold back on your comments, this being my first game, and first app worth looking at, I'm sure I missed a few things!
EDIT:
If you wish to unlock all the levels, enter "31415" as the "winning score for multi player" option in settings. it'll automatically unlock all 50 levels to test

I wasn't emailed about your response, sorry, I went ahead and worked out as many bugs as possible and published to market. There are 8 screens there.
I can't post links yet...on xda forums, market search soccer juggle, you'll find it. it's by me, crdnilfan.
The trial has been published but isn't appearing yet, regular market lag. will post when it's out.
Tried it and it's a little unresponsive sometimes. The background could be better too.

Responsiveness is something I've really struggled with, this is my first ever SurfaceView app, and my first game, the two combine to difficult optimization due to lack of knowledge. As I learn more though, working on various other apps, I will work in optimizations.
Hi, I would like to ask for your help for our study. We created a game, entitled Egg Catcher, for our study/thesis. Our professor told us to post this game online to have an online evaluation, thus, we cant afford to upload it the market because it's a bit expensive for us. So we decided to post it here in the forum.
We kindly ask for your feedback, whether it is good, bad or if the game needs improvement, and also your comments about the game's compatibility issue. As far as I know, the game works well with Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830.
I attached some screenshots of the game such as the Main Menu, the game itself and the highscore. I also attached the apk of the game.
This is for educational purposes only, thank you guys!

Thank you for your comments and suggestions! About the force close issue, my partner, Pat Soo, already fixed the bug when entering the high score after the game. I've attached the new apk of our game, hope you like it!
_____EDITS_____
I tested it using my LG-P690 Optimus Net.
Great Start!
I checked it out using CDMA Razr XT912. I noticed a couple of issues among the other things that have already been said, (no volume control, posting name FC).
On the Razr;
1. The eggs fall all the way to the bottom of the screen, but, when they break they show up near the top 1/4 of the screen instead of on the "ground" at the bottom...
2. The sound buttons in the main menu, the sound button on the left works to turn off all sound effects and music, but the one on the right (Musical Note) does not work.
3. When opening the application, it goes straight to the high scores board instead of the main menu screen.
4. the rate of eggs dropping increases at a EXTREMELY high rate, this may be the desire of the developer but it seemed that after just a minute there were more eggs dropping than could ever be caught with accelerometer controls. (although contrary to other posts I have seen on this the speed of the accelerometer controls worked very well for me, quick and smooth with the Razr. Differences in manufacturing of each device and the accelerometers used in each could really cause some issues across a wide variety of platforms so a touch option would be a nice choice.)
5. Finally the last thing that I noticed is that if you press your "Home" button while still in a game it will not pause or even stop the music, so you will have to reopen the application from your app drawer to close out the game and stop the music.
I like this concept for a simple children's game and with accelerometer controls it could even be useful to help development of hand eye coordination skills. sadly as stated the wide variety of accelerometers in devices could cause a great variance of control speed, I think this is a really cool class project and hope to see more and more of these types of projects shared!!!
OVERALL RATING: Still sanding out the rough spots but... TWO THUMBS UP!!!

Hello all!
This is my first post on this forum so if I'm posting this in the wrong place, let me know! I would like to show off my latest Android App that I've been working on for the last few months. It has been a long path of changes, changes, and more changes! I've really enjoyed how far I've come with learning development. So here it is!
Planets is a educational app that is centered around providing users with information about the planets in our solar system. It also has info about other objects like the Sun and Pluto. I recently redesigned the app to make the content easier to scan and make it a little more fluid like. I have a community[1] set up with Beta testing for the people who want to test stuff before it's released to the public. I am looking to gain a larger user base but my main goal is just making the app look nice and easy to use. You can download[2] it on the Play Store and feedback/ratings are appreciated. So far, I've got about 1,400 downloads and I'm hoping to get more! Also, you can view the full source code for this app[3]!

Wonderful application, always been an admirer of Astronomy and this is just brilliantly put together. Will come back with a decent feedback soon .
I know it is easy to pick on any application but knowing how much effort might have gone in does help (through your github post).
Is it possible to convert the given units into scientific units (e.g. mass of sun = 1.9891 * 10^30 kg)?
Hi, I'm a fan of astronomy but I'm also a graphic, web-designer/developer... I love you app and, if it is possibile, I want to make some themes for this app!
Very nice app. Informative and yet easy on the eye. Looking forward to further updates.

I'm always up for more astronomy. Great work, keep it up. :good:
Very nice! Love the UI, looks very intuitive.
Some suggestions:
- use translucent bars on KitKat
- make the back animation consistent with the open animation. For example, when you tap a planet, the card zooms in to fill the screen; but when you hit Back, the screen kind of fades away (the default Android exit animation). It would be nice if it zooms back out.
- like @orville87 said, it would be easier on the eyes to express the units in scientific notation.
- Pluto isn't a planet anymore, right?
I would have asked for info on extraterrestrial moons, but it would seem too outrageous a request.
Subscribed, awaiting further updates

Not enough information. Can you tell me how is this app better than the others universe related apps in Google Play? I appreciate your effort but if you want your app to be competitive he should add more features or at least more info because the info included here is common and can be found in wikipedia for example. There are also apps who also provide 3D model of the solar system with the orbits of all planets.
I'm not trying to offend you, don't get me wrong.

For being a high school student and balancing life and school and this, I take pride in the work that I've done. Sure there are better apps than mine with more info and awesome 3D renderings of planets, I'm not afraid to admit that. However, I'm proud of the work I've done and if people don't recognize that it IS work from a high school student and not some average middle-aged developer, then so be it. Thanks for your feedback :good:

As I said in the beginning of my post I appreciate what you do because I love astronomy and physics so it's good beginning and I'm not hating. But yet you needed something to stimulate you to develop your app. I wish you all best and I'm sure that you'll keep developing this app until it becomes competitive to all the apps out there.
I have just released a game that uses the device's camera to create puzzles of different sizes. If I could get any reviews and/or criticism I would be very grateful.

Anyone?
Nice game i like it so far
Thank you!
Wow, that's actually a great idea!! rated it 5/5
Comments:
1) I find the numbers inside the tiles a bit confusing/distracting
2) A little tutorial inside the app would be great; I know it is a rather
well known puzzle principle, but especially also because of the
numbers I needed some time to figure out what I have to do actually
3) I think taking a picture instead of a live camera feed would be
even better, because then you can take the picture and put your
phone on your table / knees afterwards to solve it etc. AND if you
take a picture, you could also share your personal "puzzle" with others
using an android intend
Just think of the following: someone takes a photo and sends
it to his/her friends (they don't know this photo of course). Then,
the challenge starts who solves the puzzle most quickly. Wouldn't
that be great?
Thank you for your time and effort writing this detailed review! You have the option to remove the tile numbers if you would like to by pressing the menu button. Sharing and making puzzles from still pictures is actually a great idea I will be trying them out

Nice idea! I liked it!
So I decided to make a game over the christmas holidays, and over the past two weeks, made a rather simple game, if not incomplete.
I've never made a game before and would like suggestions for features to add to make this game more complete.
Thoughts are also welcome.
There is a full and free version of the app; if you can't stand the adverts and don't want to pay a small amount of 0.50 GBP, then ask me and I'll send you an apk.
Download on Google Play by searching for "Jump.Die.Repeat" - Can't post links yet Sorry
It's quite simple. You jump, you will probably die, and you will have to repeat.
Collect boosts and SloMo anti-boosts(?) to go further in the game.
When in SloMo, you can tilt your device to control your landing better, Matrix style.
Activate the boots by tapping in mid-air.
Easy peasy.
I think this game have potential but you have to work harder. I like the soundtrack!
About the gameplay:
- It is to much slow to me
- The controls aren't very responsive
- I don't get it the boosts and they appear very rarely
- I think that would be nice be able to move the square back
Sorry for my english, I hope you understand. And the link for the game:
