tf300t bricked - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I registered in order to ask for some help 'cause I'm almost desperate
I (read as: my brother) bricked my tf300t, now I basically can't start it neither in recovery mode or other.
When restarted it just turns back to the asus start screen and doesn't move anymore. :crying:
I read a lot online but i can't find a solution, does anybody know some sort of magic very very (very) hard reset (I would't mind an hardware reset if this is a thing)?
Thanks all.

I'm assuming that it won't go to the bootloader menu when you start it pressing vol down and power. unless you have the NvFlash blobs for APX mode, then there is probably nothing more that can be done

nvflash procedure to fallback on
This guide I collected from somewhere on these great XDA forums and I always, always made sure I created the nvflash backup and stored those files away somewhere safe FIRST before I started tinkering around with my device...usually multiple locations, locally and in cloud...I have those copies but can't share them here because they are locked to my device, are unique and just won't work for any other different device...
Look in the GENERAL section and in the troubleshooting where you have posted...there seems to be quite a few people with similar brick issues in varying degrees...there's a solution somewhere for your unique issue. Download both a 4.2 and a 4.4.2 blob/firmware as a start and learn how to unblob/extract them into their different components...you're gonna need them to get back to stock...all the best

You cannot use NvFlash unless you have already made the NvFlash Backups prior to bricking.

Venstar2050 boot issue

I got a Venstar2050 off of ebay (Chinese made tablet) I had it a couple of days, and it was sluggish. So I preformed a factory reset on it, I did it through the android OS, within the system settings. It worked, booted fine, until a reset. I now get a "no command" dead android logo. There are no combination of buttons that seems to pull it into a recovery mode. I've read that there is no recovery mode on some Chinese made tablets. If anyone is curious, there are vol+, vol-, a back button, and a power button, on the device. I did some searching for a couple of days and I could not find much info on this tablet (I had a feeling I wouldn't find much), or any way of adding a recovery to a tablet that may not have one. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
Hi there!
I searched XDA and found nothing in your device. I will ask a moderator to move your question to our general Q&A section, found here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help
Otherwise, you could try contacting the manufacturer about flashing original firmware and for the files.
Good luck! ?
Thanks for the reply! I've attempted to find the manufacturer for the device, but the only "venstar" I found in Google, with a legitimate website, didn't appear to be the correct manufacturer.
From my understanding of these Chinese devices, they are mostly all built off of the same motherboard.
I'd also like to add that my device is a 10.1 inch screen. That might make a difference between the motherboards.
if someone has got into recovery mode on a newer Chinese tablet that has the same button layout as mine, I could try the same combination of buttons, or whatever used to do this.
Also, is there a way to force a factory reset through usb to pc using software, like adb?
Has anyone found a way to get into recovery mode on this tablet?
Or any other information on how to fix my issue, maybe some simple things I could try?
I should also mention, I have found a little "reset" button on the tablet. But all it seems to do is just do a basic reset of the tablet. Not a factory reset. I've also tried using that, in a combination of other buttons along with the power button to get into a recovery mode, but nothing seems to work.
HELP !

[Completed] Phone stuck in safe mode

Hi guys, I did a quick search in your forum but I couldn't find something that could help me...
A firend of mine asked me to repair his acer liquid glow, that it's stuck in safe mode. Assuming that it was a software problem, I proceed unlocking the bootloader and installing clocworkmod to do a full reset... After that the phone is still stuck in safe mode, so I noticed that volume down button doesn't work, probably because ist stuck or something (not phisically but because of some circuit damage I think). So here's my question... Is there any way to totally deactivate safe mode start up without repairing the button (maybe in fastboot mode or similar)? Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
Probably not an easy task as this would be a low level function of the bootloader, fixing the hardware may be easier
There isn't a direct forum for your device so I would ask your question in the general Q&A forum found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
Hope you can find a viable solution!

[Q] here is one for you.... an interesting brick TF300T

Hi
I read this forum for a long time, but for this one I didn't find the answer and had to register to explain exactly mu problem and hopefully someone can help.
My TF300T runs android 4.2.1 official. I unlocked it with the official app from their support page. The problem is with the digitizer, which I replaced, but still doesn't work after sleep and that's how I ended up doing all this.
Anyway, long story short, my TF300T is stuck at ASUS logo (the first one, the white one). And I mean STUCK. I can't even get into bootloader. Power + vol down will get me to the asus logo again, no RCK/android/wipe screen for me. And of course, I cannot connect it to windows, it doesn't see it. Yes, I have everything installed, all drivers ok, I have sdk, adb, fastboot, all were working before this happened with the tablet.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Did You already tried this? If You can't get to fastboot this is almost hopeless case.

I have the same problem. But what I did is I flashed a recovery from inside the TWRP terminal command thing (big mistake BTW) and now it will just stay at that Asus logo forever.
A friend of mine is trying to fix it... so far he managed to see the tablet in windows (as unknown device, but still) and now he is trying with nvflash...
I will keep you up to date if something comes up.

Don't you need the blobs for nvflash? I think they are device specific too
yes. everything nvflash related.

Unbricking a Hardbricked Asus TF300T

Alrighty, I seem to have hardbricked my transformer, after rooting and unlocking it I attempted to install Ubuntu Touch on it. ( Found out that Ubuntu Touch kinda sucks and I prefer Android for now)
During the restoring process some bad stuff happened, long story short i lost my backups. I then tried to restore it to stock firmware with ADB/Fastboot and the firmware from the asus website.
During the restore process the cable got disconnected from the computer, when I tried to start the process again my PC couldn't recognize my tablet and my tablet could not boot at all, not even into recovery.
From what I've read about my tablet I can only assume that it is now currently hardbricked. When I hit the power button nothing happens, when I try power button and vol-down nothing happens, same with vol-up. Reset button doesn't do squat.
I'm gonna try unbricking it even though I'm pretty sure I'm out of luck.
If you guys have any suggestions that can help me out, I'll be refreshing this thread every few minutes to see what you guys have to say.
And if you have any questions about what I'm doing or how I've messed it up so badly I'll try to answer them.
Wish me luck!
Edit: Alright, I can get into APX however I don't have any backups. From what I've read I can't use other people's Flatline backups to fix my own tablet, can anyone confirm or deny that?
Regardless, is there a way that I can use NVFlash to directly flash the system with the stock blob or am I just completely out of luck?

Buy a new logic board. It's not too expensive.
With only APX mode and no nvflash files you are hardbricked. Period.

I had a feeling that was the case, I'll make sure to use Flatline once I get it so it doesn't get this bad again.
