[Q] Unable to unbrick my transformer - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've had my eee Pad Transformer TF101 for a few years now. I've had it rooted for most of the time, I've installed several roms before. But a few months ago I hard bricked (Pretty sure it's a hard brick) my tablet installing a new rom.
It will turn on, but it well stay on the ASUS logo for 5 minutes then turn off and start back at the ASUS logo until it turns off again. I use the power and down key to somewhat access recovery. I attempt to access recovery but all I get is a screen with an android on it's back with the red explanation point signal. The blue bar under the android acts like it loading, but I never get past this screen, and after a few minutes it will reboot to the ASUS logo again.
Also when I plug my tablet into my computer it will recognize that something is plugged in but is unable to install the driver. I've attempted to install other drivers but my computer wont allow me to, it keeps telling me the driver I have installed is the best driver, even though its not working.
I've looked all over xda, and I've tried easyflasher and peri. but I'm unable to connect to my computer successfully in order to get either to work.
Does anyone have any advice?

You need to get the Universal Naked Drivers installed
If you are running 64bit Windows, disable driver signing from safemode options - or use Win 7 32bit
Win 8.x needs driver signing disabled for both flavours
--
You need to stick the TF into APX mode (Power off then Vol up & power till the PC recognises it and tries to install the drivers) then install the above drivers and try Easyflasher again

I got the Universal Drivers working a few hours ago. I was able to boot into APX and have my transformer recognized by my computer. I ran Easyflasher several times trying to flash a recovery and using the stock/unbrick option, but it hadn't ran all the way through or told me on the tablet that it was successful until a few minutes ago. I tried again a few minutes ago and Easyflasher went all the way through and the tablet stated on screen that it was successful, excpet now I can't boot at all or even attempt to pull up recovery, it now doesn't boot into anything but APX.

Did you use the correct SBK on Easyflasher?
B6O serials and earlier are SBK1, some B7Os too, the rest above are SBK2
Wont do any harm using the wrong one, it just wont work
And to get out of APX mode, hold power for 30 seconds~, then power on normally
--
Did you try flashing it back to stock using the stock firmware instructions on the Easyflasher page ?
If you only flashed TWRP recovery, you will need to power on normally (not recovery) at least once and hopefully see the blue update progress bar under the ASUS logo for a few seconds while it updates RCK - then you should be able to power off and press VOL DOWN & POWER till you see the white text at the top of the TF screen - then release all buttons and within 5 seconds, hit POWER UP once to enter recovery

[Q] Bricked / Freezing on pwr vol+

I am trying to put my gtablet back to stock, have read all the threads and have the usb drivers. Problem is my laptop will not see the gtablet when usb is connected.
It only turns on and freezes at the Viewsonic screen. If I try and boot to recovery it goes to the same screen, says the two little lines about recovery starting at the top then just sits.
Not sure what else to try. Help!
Have you tried to power vol- to get into apx mode?
robhoerning,
Evidently this thread and the other one you posted in are not in sync??!!!
If you pressed power and volume - that would put you in APX mode which
basically is a black screen.
When you do that, it is waiting for you to hook the G-Tab to your PC and
run nvflash to rebuild your tablet.
Go to the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=861950
and start reading up on the process.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=989320
also gives USB info and describes the driver process to hook up
via USB.
As I said in the other thread, let us know what you can do and
where you're at.

EDIT: If you get the APX hookup made and can run the files as the first link says,
it will return your tablet to version 2637 or some such. If you get that and it
comes up, almost as soon as you get wifi up it will offer you the OTA Update
3588 -- which is current stock.
I met this trouble with my malata zpad t8 yesterday, neither recovery nor apx can be activiated, Windows host didn't recognize any nvidia device, and it takes longer to turn black after pwr and - button were released.
I thought it's certainly bricked,
but when I try it under linux, lsusb show a nvidia device, and I finally get it fully recovered with nvflash in L4T
jackqin,
When you press power and vol- and got the black screen, you were in APX mode.
If you had had the nvflash and .img files in an NVFlash folder on your PC, and if
you got the USB hooked up -- you could have restored via Windows.
All you have to do is use roebeets thread in Dev on NVFlashing, and my thread on
"NVFlash USB Driver Solution."

[Q] No aPX-mode anymore on my Asus Transformer.

[POSTED IN THE WRONG FORUM. REPOSTED @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1174493]
Hello Folks,
I seem to have a problem and I can't find an answer in the forums.
I rooted my Asus Transformer with Android 3.1 using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125714
I only rooted the Transformer, I didn't install CWM. Everything was working fine until my overenthusiastic wife updated the tablet with the 8.4.4.11-20110711 update. Suddenly my tablet was unrooted again. I thought "No problem, no harm's done, I'll just reinstall the stock 3.1 and then root the device once again and just leave the new update for what it is for the moment."
The problem is that I can't get into APX mode anymore. When I try to start the device with vol+ and the power button, nothing's happening. Both buttons are working fine (neither's stuck). I thought that the device might just be showing me a blank screen but when I press and hold vol+ and the power button for 5, 10 or 30 seconds then wait 30 secs and start adb.exe it says my device isn't connected.
When I press vol- and the power button I do get the option to wipe all my data and factory reset (which I tried and is working).
When I press vol- and the power button then vol+ when it's booting to get into RCK (recovery kernel mode) I get a droid image with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Nothing happening.
Anyone got a clue what's going on and or how I can solve this issue?
The Transformer is working fine besides not being able to get into APX mode btw. I can use it, just can't root it anymore.
same situation here, just bought my eeePad today, updated to .11 version....now trying to root but can't figure out how...
I'm having the same problem. Brand new transformer, rooted it, and now I can't get it to boot past the splash screen. Tried putting it back into APX mode, and it doesn't work. Anyone find a solution to this?
I didnt even root mine and i have this ****ing problem -.-
Same problem..
You'll notice if you watch the device manager on windows, it flashes a refresh but the device doesn't show up. Looks like it's trying to work but doesn't catch..
SSame here after using Brk's on my 3.2 B70 tf101.
Same here. 3.1, rooted, CWM.
Same here on an Asus running Android 3.2.
Serial number B60KA.
Build number on mine is 8.6.5.9-20110816.
Anyone find a solution to this?
My friends tablet is at HTK75.US-8.6.5.13-20110925 and I just got it in to APX mode.
I had the Transformer turned off and plugged in, held vol up + power until I hear the first US notification noise and released the two buttons. The searching for drivers screen came up and it installed "Nvidia Bootloader Recovery" And now my safe to eject calls it APX.
I found if you hold the power and volume up for too long it messes things up.
Any news anyone? I would love to know how to do get into APX mode. The volume + and power is not working for me like the others (did it all conceivable ways).
APX already on
Hi, I solved this problem very easy.
Just connected my eeePad, installed the APX driver after Volume up and Power on Button and it was working. You will see nothing on eeePad screen. Just check the device manager on your computer.

[Q] Stuck at Asus screen after accidental full wipe, TWRP2.7, Omni

Not sure if I have successfully bricked my first android device or not but here I am. I can not get a succeessful power button/Vol down choice so I can reinstall the ROM.
It looks like I can get to what I think is called apx mode by using the reset button and power up. I installed the Asus Sync pack to get the drivers, (tried on win8 and win7), I tried adb on both OSes but still get no device found. Neither of my OSes are recognizing the device either.
Am I in a state where if I get the OS drivers right I can basically reinstall recovery to the internal drive and go from there?
Currently I just have that dang asus screen and it won't even power off after holding the power button down for 10-15 seconds, it just reboots to the Asus screen.

Click to collapse
People are generally not able to restore after a full wipe
APX mode is possible only if you have made Nvflash Backups beforehand (before bricking).

[Q] Bricked TF101?

Hello everyone,
some days ago I flashed Android Revolution HD but shortly I've found out that the TF101 wasn't recognized anymore by my PCs. When I've inserted the stock cable the tablet turned on but nor win 8.1 64bit nor windows 7 64bit recognized it. It even hasn't appeared between the unknown devices in the related window, so I couldn't install any drivers. Then I've decided to clean cache and system on TWRP recovery and after reboot the TF101 was stuck on logo screen, the boot one, not the next one with the ASUS logo.
Now the stock cable and the stock charger still work, they charge the tablet but the charging screen doesn't appear, if I turn on the device, it shows only the first android logo with the green bar, if I try to enter recovery with volume down button, it says 'entering the recovering' but it doesn't go any further. Last chance is the APX mode, with the volume up and turn on button: I've tried it but I can't recognize if it enters APX or not, I only know that in the devices list doesn't appear any unknown device, and I'm sure that the TF101 has never been connected before to this PC. At least, if I was able to connected it in APX I would use Easyflasher and flash stock rom.
Basically now it's a bricked tablet, any help please? Someon can tell me specifically how to enter APX mode, or is it a cable issue? Is this thing called 'governor' related to this?

TWRP Reboot Loot

Hi! I rooted my tab, installed TWRP and flash a custon rom (CM 11). Everything was fine until I done a factory reset (needed to complete something). Now my tab keeps restarting. I can not access it (via fastboot or adb - <wait for device>). I don`t know what to do? I can not enter in TWRP menu or console (do nothing), only restarting. Power + Vol Down does no work, i can not stop my tab. Please, any help????
Try with cmd command "adb shell recovery --wipe_data"
have the same issue and adb commands do not work at all. Seriously looking at getting a new motherboard for it. Since it is stuck boot looping, neither adb nor fastboot see the device
Whrere you tablet loops; On asus logo or after that;Sorry for my englisg
Tablet boots to Asus logo, then get to TWRP logo and sits there. Eventually it just reboots and repeats. I haven't tried to get into apx mode yet.
have you installed naked drivers;.There is for usb drivers...
Not yet, gonna try and install the naked drivers tonight using the apx mode and see how that goes. Right now, in the boot loop, the computer never recognizes the tablet, so I can't do the device manager bit needed to install the naked drivers. I do have adb and fastboot on the pc already. It is how I flashed TWRP to begin with
when you plug table to pc with usb nothing jappens.?Windows not show "new device found"?
No nothing happens at all. I can't even seem to get it into apx mode. The tablet starts and I get the Asus logo. Then 4 penguins and then the TWRP logo. It hangs on the TWRP logo for about 20 seconds and then reboots. It will reboot three times in total and then shut down. Thinking it is my cheap chinese USB cord that is the issue. I am going to order a new cable and a broken/parts tablet off ebay. My case is having issues anyway. I will swap out the parts I need and make one good tablet. I will still keep this motherboard around to see if I can fix it
when twrp logo and connect usb what happend?windows doing something?
Windows does nothing. I am sure that it is my USB cable. I have ordered an actual Asus cable off of ebay and will see what happens when it shows up
Well, I hit the wall with this tablet and can't get it to do anything as far as fixing it. I started searching Ebay for a new motherboard and stumbled across a bunch of auctions for TF300Ts with keyboard docks. Bought one for 35$ + shipping. It should be here on thursday. I will still eventually get a new motherboard for the other one
