I'm stumped, BT calls used to work fine until I reset the OPO to fix something else. Now, the phone pairs fine and all other aspects of BT connected to a car stereo work fine EXCEPT the caller can't hear me. I can voice dial just fine so I know the phone is able to hear me and the mic works but once a call connects either incoming or outgoing I can't talk to the caller unless I switch to the handset. I've paired and repaired numerous times, and like I said before, factory reset the device. Not sure what's going on. I know it's not the car stereo as my Nexus 5 works fine.
Thoughts?

I just got a Bluetooth headphone/headset (with mic) to use with my GT7+ (GT-P6210 wi-fi only) and my semi-smart phone. The headset (Motorola MOTOROKR S305) has three different pairing modes: music only, phone only, and both.
When I pair it with my little phone, it automatically pairs as both. It works fine as a phone headset (mic and earphones), and it works fine as a stereo headphone with the phone's music player.
When I pair it with my GT7+, it automatically pairs as music-only. There is no microphone function. With Bluetooth off, I can make calls using the GT7+ built-in mic and speaker and the GrooVe IP app. No problems. But with the Bluetooth headset paired, I just don't get the mic function. I can hear the phone audio in the earpieces, but the mic is dead.
Is there any workaround? Is there a way to get the GT7+ to identify itself as a phone-capable as well as music-capable device for the purpose of Bluetooth pairing? (That's what I think must be missing.)
TIA.
I can't speak for that particular headset but I successfully use a jabra (phone headset only) and GV with my tab plus. However, before I had a A100 tab and I had similar mic problems with the same jabra headset...so the whole compatibilty thing seems to be hit or miss.
I assume you checked settings to confirm there are no options to adjust mic? Also, you might see what happens if you pair and use GV right after boot.

I did check settings and I didn't find anything relevant. I also tried pairing while GrooVe IP was running and logged into GV. I'll try that again right after boot. Thanks.
I have my phone setup with my car and quality is great, but i can't figure out how to set the phone to auto switch to a bluetooth device for all calls once it's connected. Is there a way to do this?
My calls go to my bluetooth headset when the headset is already connected. My issue is that the phone doesn't automatically connect to the headset upon power on/boot up. This is the first phone I've had that does this and I don't like it.

It should be automatic, I think (or at least, in the BT devices settings). If not, try Tasker,

I don't get it. My phone auto connects for me. Did it with the tunelink in my car today and the past few weeks, did it for 4 days with my friends ford car with sync and does it at work with many different devices when I get near them.

I'm not sure I 100% get what you want. Are you saying you get the BT connection in your car but it won't send the calls to it? Your phone rings instead?
I can tell when my phone locks into my car's BT because the screen in my car indicates it. All calls then get redirected to the car's system.
My phone automatically connects when I start my car. Calls that I pickup with my steering will buttons route through to bluetooth. All that is fine. My problem is making outgoing calls. I have a feedback dial that is a pain to dial from. I like using the 1 touch calling on my phone much more - except when I dial through the phone, it never pushes to bluetooth. After connecting, I can switch to bluetooth, but I have to manually use the touchscreen to get it going. Is there any way that it can auto connect using bluetooth when I dial from my phone?
Weird, my phone automatically uses bluetooth even when I dial my from my phone. This is true for both my car's bluetooth and my bluetooth headphones. Maybe it's a setting in your car?

Did you check through the phone settings? I think there are some bluetooth settings in there.
I have a LG Optimus G on ATT running jelly bean. I have the phone paired successfully via bluetooth to 2 different car's bluetooth handsfree voice activated phone system.
I am able to receive incoming phone calls (calls sounds play on car speakers). When I make a call dialed from the phone interface, it connects correctly and the sound plays in the car speakers normal.
However, when I try to make a phone call from the car interface (voice activated or otherwise), it attempts to dial, but never actually connects through. It does not have an error message, it just stops automatically like a dropped call. Its not a car issue since both cars (Kia and Nissan) have same issue.
I can't seem to find anything online about this. Solutions? TIA
I have a Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth headset which I use with the Nexus 5.
(Almost) every time I make a call, the headset first blips and you can see in the dialer that Bluetooth is chosen for sound output.
But just after dialing, the audio is back at the phone (handset earpiece). So I have to switch to Bluetooth again. Then during calls, sometimes the audio is routed back to the phone again.
It always works when you move it back to the Bluetooth headset again but it is very annoying.
Phone has stock 4.4.2-latest.
Any other threads about this? Bugs @ Google? Couldn't find anything..
I guess it depends on the Bluetooth device you're using. My nokia bluetooth headphones work perfectly where as I face similar problems like you when I'm using it in my car.
Maybe try the app soundabout from the playstore. Seem to work (sometimes) on my N4 when I had phone audio problems.
Easy solution to my problem: Unpaired the headset and paired it again, now it works as expected!
Hello,
I ordered redmagic 7 pro supernova edition (v. 4.12 eu) but I have a problem with the bluetooth.
I use hearing aids (Starkey Evolv AI 2400 ite) and i have connected them correctly to my smartphone by bluetooth, the multimedia contents work correctly but there are problems during phone calls.
When they call me, the smartphone responds in bluetooth mode, I hear them but they don't hear me. During the phone call, if I switch from bluetooth to speaker, I hear them and they hear me, if I switch again from speaker to bluetooth this time I hear them and they hear me. Can it be fixed somehow without having to switch every time? it is important for me to use hearing aids during phone calls. Other bluetootht devices works correctly.
Thanks
