Hi all,
My galaxy fit is bricked and I think the problem is /data partition. I'm tring to format it using:
- CMW
- adb (mkefs /dev/block/stl13)
but I'm no luck.
Then flashed stock rom using Odin 4.38 and wipe data with stock recovery, but I get this message
Code:
format_volume rfs format failed on /dev/stl13
Is it possible re-partition my device?

Hi guys,
i've a samsung p6200 and i was running on ics 4.0.4 austria, then i've tried to move to P6200/P6210/T869 CyanogenMod 10 using cwm recovery.
so, since then i couldn't install any other rom without bootlooping.
I tried putting back ICS (previous version) using odin like i did before, it completes without errors but i get stuck on galaxy logo.
I tried several ways of flashing through cwm and heimdall, all go through but end up with the same results :S
Can i get some help? I'm kinda lost here and don't know what to try next.
Thanks in advance.

Your EMMC is gone, tipical hard brick ! look at releated thread ....
It's possible you have executed a "Factory reset" from ICS recovery before ?

Hi,
After a weekend lost searching for a fix to my problem I've decided to take the Tab to repair at the dealer. my tab has an insurance and i will activate it.
for a small resume, i've scanned for partition errors, having received I/O error on mmcblk9 / 10 / 11.
i tried re-partition without success
at last i 've flashed my tab with pit file modified for devices who have bad sector issues and i nearly succeeded, because get an ICS boot but gave me a message that need to do a data wipe because of some encryption. when i made the wipe with the CWM recovery i get mount /data and /sdcard error...
so once that i have insurance i'll use it .
the bad news is that it can take up to ninety days, i'll prai that does not happen and take much less time.
tks

Please help me i rooted my Galaxy note (N7000) a week ago and it worked fine, then today i tried installing philz kernel ,i boot the galaxy note and after the first boot logo my phone turnd off
the first thing i did was go into recovery and did a wipe cache partition
then wipe data/factory reset
then i went to advance (reminder: i used philz kernel)
then i did a wipe delvik stats
then i go back and went into mounts and storage
and i formated /cache
/system
/data
/preload
/emmc
then when i tuned on the phone and the phone just stayed on the galaxy note logo (the first logo)
and did nothing
please help i only have 3 hours b4 my dad gets home from work
please anyone reply
Mate, you've formatted all your partitions. There is nothing on your phone to boot, therefore it's not booting anything.
Never, ever format any partitions except /data and /cache, unless you know exactly what you are doing. By formatting /system, /preload and /emmc, you've wiped the contents of your phone, including your ROM. You're lucky it's not a brick.
You will need to obtain a stock ODIN .tar for the N7000, and flash back to complete stock. That is the only way to fix what's done - you can't just flash a zip and fix it. There are plenty of tutorials for this in the N7000 sections.
Good luck.
My friend ask me to flash his I9003 to stock Indonesian firmware, he give me this device already in bootloop condition and doesn't do anything before.

perhaps an error in the NAND partition or ext4 incompatible
wipe data in cwm recovery
if you have error, try flash stock with .pit file
try this firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329200
Hello,
I think It is a failure NAND and only way to repair your phone It is : install a custom ROM who have a kernel with inverted path of memory. In fact kernel will see the external SD as internal memory. I Hope will help you. I repaired an phone(I9000) with this metode.

try to flash cf-root with Odin (pda mode)
http://www.mediafire.com/download/n3udy6p94pvyoaz/DDLF2-CFROOT-30-06-2012.tar
then reboot into recovery mode, try format data partition, and if the format does not appear wrong, then you have the partition in ext4
so the error can not format in rfs.
to install another kernel with ext4 support could format it.
try this before trying SD card
I had the same error, and I solved flashing the firmware twice with .pit file
sorry for my english

try one more time with other options
flash new rom, with newest kernel/cwm recovery
if it does not work, I dont know what more else can do
this rom :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534312
standard instruction with my comment
1. Flash CWM Compatible Kernel (CF ROOT) (you have this)
2. Reboot to Recovery.
3. Wipe Data / Factory Reset. (don't worry if you have an error)
4. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
5. The device will reboot and finish flashing.
6. Reboot to Recovery Again. (wipe and format data, cache)
7. Flash Google Apps.
8. Reboot
good luck
Hi i have Moto Maxx 64 GB.... Today i was trying to flash newly released RR rom. When i booted my phone to TWRP Recovery.... it gives an error in logs that
unable to mount /data
unable to mount /cache
unable to mount /firmware
unable to mount /system
Now after erasing cache and userdata from fastboot and then reboot in to recovery data and cache partitions are back but firmware and system partitions are same saying unable to mount /system....
Help needed please
Hi,
Flash stock brazil 5.0.2 firmware with rsd lite, it will be fine.
Can you please give the download link???
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8ENz9WTAsk_WFprNVF1RFRFSUk/view
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/moto-maxx-moto-turbo-xt1225-factory-t3078274
Stilll no solution... rsd lite fails on 10% and when i flash twrp recovery its now saying unable to mount /firmware........Seems any expert opinion is required or maybe last solution is jtag.....
You cant boot twrp on read-only mode, just swipe when it starts (dont click on read-only option)
You will need to be more specific with the RSD error - it should have no problem fully recovering the phone with stock firmware.
