Nexus 5 stuck on Google boot screen - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
For the past few days my Nexus 5 has been stuck on the Google screen when I try boot it up, it never reaches the boot animation.
How it all started:
I was installing a random game from the Play Store when it suddenly rebooted and froze on the Google screen. I tried multiple methods, and eventually flashed a new stock Lollipop build using the flash-all.bat method. I worked, for an hour or so, then it would keep rebooting and freezing on that start screen.
What I've done so far:
So far, I've tried almost every method to try and fix the issue. I've used the Nexus Wugfresh Toolkit, then I manually flashed the stock build with that flash-all.bat method, as well as manually flashing each file, also having no luck. I've tried that Nexus All-in-one-bootloop-fix, that didn't help, as well as flashing the stock KitKat build with no luck either. Also take note that it never gave me any errors, and I even tried installing the stock build on another PC to see if that would help (it didn't).
So yeah, I can get it into the bootloader, flash ROMs/zip files, install CWM, but no matter what J do I still can't get past this Google boot screen. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated, as I don't think this is hardware issue, but I'm all out of ideas and thinking of going to buy a new phone tomorrow.

It's your power button - seems to be a relatively common thing. It happened to mine and the Play store got me a new one in less than 24 hours. (united states)

[Q] How-to restore a TF300T with the newest firmware that is not starting up

Dear guys and girls,
I have a problem. Since 2 days my tf300t is for some reason not starting up anymore. The start screen does not go away. Before it worked like a charm. I have tried almost everything, I can think of. As far as I know the latest firmware is installed. The problem is also that the tablet isn't in developer mode. So my options are limited afaik to fastboot. I have installed the naked drivers version 0.73. But windows is saying that the device is not started. Only fastboot is started as device. I have tried to reinstall the firmware by usb, but to no avail. It sends but doesn't write... I have drained the battery to zero level. Can anyone help me with this? What am I missing?

I'm also having this same issue. Tablet was working fine and then froze up. After rebooting we are now stuck on the Asus screen with the circular logo going. Waited over an hour with no change. Tried to boot into recovery and recovery crashes and gives me Error! This is a stock tablet that hasn't been unlocked or anything.
Update: Did a Data Wipe and the device rebooted and came up. Doing all the updates again. Hopefully it wont mess up again.
So you have an unlocked bootloader ?

[Completed] [HELP] Nexus 5 stuck on bootloop and recovery load-up

Hi there,
I've got quite a peculiar problem with my Nexus 5.
Last night, I left my phone on charge. It was working normally and the software was functional etc. However, once I woke up, the phone was constantly restarting itself, and wouldn't load past the boot animation. I tried to load up fastboot to enter the TWRP recovery, however, the phone froze on the load screen. I should also add that my custom boot animation was replaced by the CyanogenMod mascot.
This problem has never occurred before, and I really haven't got a clue how to fix it. I tried to use WugFresh's NRT to flash a factory image of Android 6, however, the command terminal indicated that each process had failed. This did not restore the phone to its original condition.
I should also point out that I have been running a CM 12.1 nightly, which has been very stable and I have been using this nightly, without major problems (bar the infrequent system UI crashes) for a couple of months. It is obviously rooted and I have a Nandroid backup, which I can't access for aforementioned reasons.
Please help me to bring back my phone! This is literally driving me nuts, and I haven't so far found a solution that works! I would be happy to clarify and elaborate upon any point of information.
Thanks,
Sami

Galaxy s6 G920v stuck in bootloop, have tried everything

Hi guys, so recently I bought a Galaxy S6 Verizon off of eBay. I got it for fairly cheap because it was stuck in a boot loop. I usually have no problem fixing stuff like this, but this time is different. So the first thing I tried when I got the phone was to do a reset and cache wipe from recovery. I rebooted the phone and it showed a screen that said "Android is starting, optimizing app 9 out of 31." when it got to 21 the phone rebooted and went back to 9. It did this several times before I attempted to wipe/reset again. I then downloaded the tar file G920VVRU4CPH1 and flashed it in Odin. I did a manual reset before the phone booted, and it is doing the same thing again. reboots to a green screen where it tries to optimize apps, stays there for about 20 seconds, and reboots over and over again in the same cycle. I have tried all other stock marshmallow roms that i can find, Odin won't flash older ones, (assuming its not letting me downgrade). Also another weird thing, every time I flash, the blue update screen goes to 32%, stops, erases, and reboots. Phone is on 6.0.1 version MMB29K.G920VVRU4CPH1 as seen in recovery. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thank you!
I am having a similar problem with loading new rom. The farthest it gets is 32%. Sometimes it doesn't get even that far.
I ended up just buying a trashed s6 and swapping the motherboards. Only way I could fix it

Need help after failed rom install

I've had some previous experience with custom roms on my old Nexus 6P and thought I would try the same for my mate 9. Unfortunately I've discovered the Mate 9 is not as easy to install custom roms as I thought.
I've tried several things throughout the day and I feel I've accidently overwritten things I shouldn't have but can't remember everything I've done.
It is an Optus branded phone so I believe at the start of the day I had some version of L09C34. I currently have an unlocked boot loader and TWRP installed and would like to flash back to the stock firmware, but seem to be unable to do so. The boot loader is unlocked and when I try flashing extracted parts from fastboot, the phone will reboot, reboot again and sit at erecovery. Unfortunately while I can connect to wifi, no packages are found for recovery.
Additionally I now get this lovely colourful screen in lieu of the logo on initial boot.
Any help would be appreciated.
Okay, so I've managed to unbrick it and install a version of L09C432 and get it working again - thank you to various threads on XDA. I think what I noticed was that someone else had tried the C432 firmware on a C33 model and it worked. Without being able to get hold of the C34 firmware, I tried to flash nougat originally and it worked.
This morning, I've noticed I still have an issue where the touchscreen won't work when the phone is cold (i.e I can't click anything and can't turn alarms off). If I reboot the phone to recovery it's fine, so it leads me to believe its an OS thing. Also, if I give it a few minutes in my pocket, or holding my palm on the screen it then responds. This is the issue I tried to resolve by resetting and trying a different rom but seems I haven't been successful.
Finally, when I first turn the phone on and the screen lights up I see a green background with one blue and one red box. Any ideas what I have messed up there and how to fix it? I'm not too concerned, but it would be a nicety.
Just providing updates in case anyone comes a long with similar issues.
I have now fixed the strange coloured screen on initial power on. I've found the oeminfo for the C432 firmware on another XDA thread and took a backup of what was currently there, restored the C432 version and rebooted. I was presented with the eRecovery and no TWRP. Quick check in fastboot mode showed the phone relocked. I unlocked it again and it booted no issues, however was unsure if the custom rom was still installed as I was presented with the option of an OTA update. Initially my sim card was not recognised, so I had to remove and reinstall it but so far so good.
I've just reflashed my custom rom and will see how I go.
The only potential issue I have outstanding is my touchscreen not working either first thing in the morning, or when the phone is cold - i.e I've gone to the gym and left it sitting in the locker for 2 hours and I can't use the touchscreen when I come back. I can unlock it fine with the finger print reader and the phsyical buttons respond but touches on the screen won't. If the phone is left alone for a few minutes the screen shuts off and turns back on approx every 5 seconds until it becomes responsive. Has anyone seen anything like this before? My googling hasn't lead me to anything helpful.
