The title says it all. Will the Nexus S have Gorilla Glass like the Galaxy line?

I don't believe so; reinforced glasses are "poured" / "blown" in any shape. Shape may affect different engineering strengths (tensile, torsion, compression, etc), but in this case, it wouldn't have any measurable effect for a cellular phone. Those kinds of "issues" are reserved for measurement in load-bearing and projectile-resistant purposed glass.

Completely unrelated to anything, but your pic just made me think of this.

Somewhat unrelated, but I think the contour glass is a brilliant idea for screen protection. This looks like it will make it much harder to crack the glass in the event of a drop.

I don't care. That kind of glass is very easy to get scratched. The best screen glass is on apple's iphone 4. I have to admit.

Someone get home with their NS and shoot it with a BB gun and please tell us what happened im dying to know

If NS had the same screen as captivate, a BB gun would be more than enough to make a significant scratch!!!!

Good review. Just a note about the iSmooth protectors. I have used them before and you have to use it for a day or two and that sticky feel goes away. They do honor their free replacements.

Oh that's nice to hear. Is it glass like smooth or does it still have a slight resistant feel?

The ones I used on my note 3 were smooth after a day with no sticky.

ISmooth are the best non tempered glass imo. After the silicone adhesive wears off after 3 days you can't tell the difference between this and the pure screen feel. Great price, great warranty.

I might need to update my review with some annotations then, if the feeling does really go away after a few days then I think it's probably the best for the value.

It definitely does.. I've had mine on for over a week and I really can not tell the difference. I've been a ISmooth supporter for several years now.

I put my vote in for iCarez. I use them on all my device if I don't run tempered. Package comes with the directions and materials to apply the protector using the hinge method and they apply perfect without bubbles. You can't even tell there is a screen protector on it.

I can confirm the weird feel goes away for the iSmooth. I have installed it on three Note 4S.

Wood imitation back cover from ebay

So I was always jealous of OnePlus' wooden battery covers. After realizing that the mi 5 has a removable back, I had no other choice but to buy one myself.
A brief search on ebay provided me with a few choices, and I bought a mahogany one for 9 bucks.
Of course for this price it is nowhere near wooden, but the feel and warmth are kinda same with polycarbonate, instead of the cool glass.
The shipping was terribly slow, but eventually got here, and to be honest it's not half bad. The texture is nonexistent, but the printing and smoothness makes it look like the real thing, unless inspected with macro lens. With the luphie bumper case it pairs up really good.

As it is made of polymer, it absorbs shock, but I don't think a back cover would make much of a difference when dropped, hence it usually lands on the corners. If I were you, I'd buy a bumper case or just a normal case.

Hi all,
did anyone find a full-cover / 3D protector that doesn't cut away some pixels at the edge of the display? Seems all of the full cover screen protectors have this issue. I wish there was an alternative. I'm using the official case so I don't mind if the screen protector is a bit rough at the edge since it will blend over to the edge of the case anyway. But loosing a few pixels on every side of the display is a big no for me.

I bought the K20 pro protector and it covers too much. You actually loose a couple of pixels on each side of the display. Seems like the Mi Mix 3 protector has narrower bezels??

I have the same query as the poster above. Has anyone in India found a full screen covering tempered glass, which doesn't cut out the display in any way?
Bought the Flipkart smartbuy protector during launch, but it sucks. As it cuts way too much of display.
