[Resolved] Google Device manager and apps from web no longer work. - General Questions and Answers

I have a rooted galaxy s3 on straight talk pre paid. Wanted to try slim kat so I flashed it with cwmt. Delvik, fact reset , cache and /system. Didn't like the random reboots so flashed back to stock backup. When I install something from google play it won't download to phone. From within phone it works. Device manager can't locate device. Tried cleaning data on play store app. Play services looks like it's stuck in app manager, and can't delete data. Any suggestions?
Update: Factory reset through Samsung's stock OS resolved issue. Device actually booted into CWM which scared me. Then it rebooted and started updating apps. I maintained root.

[Q] Crashing market issue

So here's what happened:
I had a desire running 2.2, rooted with unrevoked. I then decided to apply an OTA update (I figured I didn't really need root anymore) so I selected the OTA zip in clockworkmod recovery and applied it. There was a signature detection error so I disabled signature detection (smart move, I know) and installed it anyway. The result was my phone got stuck in an endless reboot cycle.
I then got it into recovery, cleared all cache + factory reset, and applied the OTA update from there (had to rename it to update.zip first) Surprisingly it worked, sort of. The phone works and the software version is that of the OTA.
However:
1) Whenever I try to install an app through the market, it downloads the app, and as soon as the installation starts the phone instantly reboots. I've tried clearing cache on the market app but no effect.
2) The Superuser Permissions app is still there. I thought by installing the OTA it would be gone but apparently not.
So now I've got a factory defaults phone that is unable to install any app. Does anyone know how I could fix this, possibly by doing a clean install of the android system entirely?
Many thanks in advance, your help is greatly appreciated.

[Completed] Need help after a root!

So I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 the T-Mobile version then put the Cyanogenmod on it now all the apps i have ever downloaded are gone and i cannot get them back. Every time I try to doanload something it says your download will be installed soon then nothing happens. I have looked in the apps part of my phone and the downloads but nothing. I am starting to regret using Cyangenmod now. Please help.
Hi,
It sounds to me like when you installed CM, you probably wiped data in recovery first? Or a factory reset? If so, yes, all user apps would be gone. Next time use something like titanium backup to backup apps and data first.
As far as apps not installing, try clearing the play store cache and data in device settings, apps... And click play store.
If that doesn't help, you will need to register on XDA and ask for help in the thread you downloaded the rom from.
Good luck!

Error code -501 every attempt to install

After I rooted my device (tripped KNOX btw) I downloaded the standard root apps and ended up messing with some setting that I didn't fully comprehend (I know, I'm dumb). I then tried to download an app from the Google Play Store and error code -501 popped up and interrupted the installation. I tried again a dozen or more times and it continued. I cleared all the cache from every google app that was installed, removed my google account, looked through all my files and downloads and found nothing suspicious, factory reset through settings, and finally hard reset through recovery-mode while clearing the cache partatin (spck) and wiping all stored data, and thus rebooted and still no answer. Please someone help!

Backup whatever you want to save from your storage, internal and external to pc for safekeeping and flash the stock TAR with Odin to return to true stock.
If you are currently on a firmware NEWER than OA6, you will be unable to flash a stock tar that is OA6 or older so it might be best to find the exact matching firmware build you're currently running.

Lg_setup.apk please

LS996-ZV9 Sprint
I did something stupid. After I rooted my phone I did a little clean up of apps I don't use. Well the LG setup was one of them, I uninstalled it. Well I did a factory reset. I forget that doesn't restore uninstalled apps. So as soon as I rebooted my phone I could only get through the first part of the setup. My phone boots and go through the setup. But when its done it goes right back through the setup.
My option are to do an unroot and install a stock system.
Install a stock rooted system.
or adb the apk to the phone, do a reset and hope that it was just the LG setup app.
TIA

i have a 955 with 15c, so maybe it cant work there but if you can point me to the path of the apk i can send it to you.
I think easiest way would be to use lg flash tool and just start from beginning, works for h955
Here was my solution; so far.
I bluetoothed titanium backup from my tablet to my phone. Once i had the download notification i installed the app. After the install i open the app and froze the LGSetup app. Now the only problem i have is some of my stettings cause the settings app to stop and close.
Im going to try and run the rootsystem.img again.
WHAT I DID FIND; After the factory reset my internal storage had been wipped. But my rootsystem.img file was still there and untouched.

Restoring apps to restore OS

Well I feel stupid. I uninstalled the Google Play Music and Movie apps with system app remover. Now the phone won't boot.
When I try to boot it just goes to Fastboot, and I can load TWRP just fine, but it won't load the OS. Any suggestions? Is there a way to reinstall those apps from outside the OS? I tried a factory reset but that didn't do anything, either.
Get a zip of the OS you're running and just install it on top with twrp without any wiping. It should add the missing pieces back. I did the same thing recently and that solved my issue. Good luck!
Is there a way to look up from in TWRP which OS version I have? Not just 9 but specifically 9.what.what?
Edit: Nevermind, I found it in build.prop
