Unknown Baseband / No IMEI - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I somehow lost my IMEI and EFS when I was messing around in multirom. I've searched a lot and tried flashing ColorOS and the steps in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/fix-brickloop-audio-fx-fc-efs-corrupt-t2879061 but still no IMEI/Unknown Baseband. Any help?

Did you make a backup of modemst1 and 2?

Have you tried reading the 75pages here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2879061
I've not yet started flashing, but I'm reading it beforehand.

[Q] I need help! Nexus 5 unsigned and restarting

Hello everyone!
I was using the Android L without any problems, but when i saw this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...android-lollipop-stock-factory-image-t2908890) - that there is a backup image, for download via TWRP, i did it and followed all the steps.
Everything went fine, but my phone was pretty much dead. no internet connection or phone signal.
So, i decided to install the preview ROM of the Android 5, via ADB (available by Google), but my signal was fluctuating a lot.
Then, i tried to install the Stock ROM 4.4.4, but failed again (fluctuating signal and no 3G or LTE) - Only 2G and my phone is restarting often.
Do you guys have any idea to help me? Or did i screwed my Nexus 5?
Thank you very much.

No ... it was the first thing I see.
But I think I found the problem. My IMEI is equal to 0.
I have his number written down, will have to restore it?

Wipe cache and Dalvik cache. Maybe format cache and reflash it in fastboot for good measure. If that doesn't work and you don't have an EFS backup then there isn't anything you can do about your IMEI.

Then I heard about OctoPlus Box ( http://octoplusbox.com/) that can do this kind of repair. But from what I saw, it requires a specific hardware.
I will refer you for assistance, but I think they will want to replace the motherboard and it should come out pretty expensive.

I've done all the wipes, installed the Stock ROM 4.4.4 and 5.0 Preview, nothing worked. My mistake was to have made a restore of an image that was not on my Nexus 5, what killed my IMEI.

Just out of curiosity ...
I've done the ROOT again and installed Root Explorer. Where I need to go to find the directory of the EFS?

I'd flash the 4.4.4 factory image and see if you still have the problem. If you do it's most likely a hardware issue.

That would mean you lost your EFS. Unless you backed it up theres not getting it back.

So you backed it up before this happened?? You have to have backed it up before. Doing it not won't work.

Yes, I did.

Mi4i full partition corrupted. Unable to restore EFS partition.

Hello friends,
I have a Mi4i which was rooted and Cyanogen was installed.
Suddenly after reboot, the phone stopped booting into the Cyanogen OS.
I tried to flash the Cyanogen again but it did not boot.
I flashed the stock ROM, which is MIUI 6 and the phone booted this time.
Now I could see that the SIM card was not getting detected. And also IMEI number was showing as invalid.
I then deleted all the partitions and tried to recover the phone by flashing using "MiFlash". This time too the Cyanogen OS didn't boot up.
Then I again flashed the stock ROM and this time also MIUI booted up correctly.
Still the IMEI was showing as invalid.
I don't have any backup of the EFS partition.
I checked the stock ROM flash_all.sh script and could not find any efs partition being written (modemst1, modemst2, fsg).
Then from somewhere I got the modemst1, modemst2 and nv_data partition data and I wrote the partitions manually.
After writing the EFS partitions Cyanogen booted correctly. But this time the IMEI showed as "012345678901234" and "012345678901235".
As this is a dummy IMEI, the SIM was not getting registered in the network.
Tried with QPST RF NV manager tool to write the IMEI which successfully did but with *#06# it still showed Invalid IMEI.
Tried with a couple of IMEI flasher and none of them worked.
Also tried to write the IMEI number using AT command (AT+EMGR=1,7,"IMEI1") but the AT command was returning "ERROR"
Please help me to recover my phone.
Now I have my phone with MIUI 7 installed and it is working fine except the IMEI issue.
Thanks in advance.
You can use QPST Tools to program the efs manually, but I've not tried it. So try to give it a try and see if it works

Thank you very much. This method partially worked for me.
I could write the imei number to my phone this time.
But the sim is not getting registered.
Can you please help?
Thanks in advance.
Dump your efs partition, and upload the dump so that I can try to compare it to mine and see if some other things should be used .

Attaching the efs dump from my mi4i.
It will really be of great help to me if you can fix the phone.
In the current efs dump, I could only write the IMEI number of the first sim. I am not aware of the address of the IMEI of the second sim slot.
Thanks for your help and valuable comments.
Can you upload a backup of the EFS Partition from TWRP or from Mi4i Toolkit? Thanks in Advance!

You restore your backed up EFS folder .
Failed to backup EFS then read the identical multiple posts on EFS IMEI on here .
Stock factory roms are on sammobile .com
