Trailblazer101's Custom Framework Maker v6
Now with my batch program, creating your own personalized Framework is as simple as 1.2.3!
This batch created by me was created with the "noob" in mind.. Of course this "noob" must already have Java installed, and should have ADB set up correctly
Features:
- Easy-To-Use Framework Chooser (with support for your own framework!)
- Softkey Themer (with easy access to create your own!)
- Custom Softkey Mapping Support (Nexus S included, easy to create and add your own!)
- 1.2.3 Package Creating (and Pushing/Rebooting into Recovery too!*)
- Unique Ticker Clock Color Selection (type in whatever color you can think of!*)
-Weather Icon and/or History Button Removal! (Actually removes the Icons, not just blanks them over!)
-Drag-and-Drop Functionality! (Includes all the tasks that you will ever want to do with an *.apk or *.jar)
-Automatically Checks for Updates! (Warns you if there in an update, displays text about the update, and opens up your browser to this page )
-Option to Set my Program as the Default Action for APKs and/or JARs! (So when you click on an APK and/or JAR, it'll open up my program!)
-Lots of Extras and Bugfixes! (Check it out!)
Developer's Mode! (You can find the option to enable it in Extras -> Program Settings!)
Future Proof! and Bug fixes (The method it now uses to set the Ticker Modifications works no matter what is going on with your Standbymode.xml file!)
Ability to Change Pressed Clock Color!* (You must be on a ROM that supports this to notice any changes...)
NEW: Compatibility with Gingerbread Mods!
NEW: Shows History in the choose file screen!
NEW: Set Update Settings from Program!
The function of this Program to create a new, all your own, Flashable Package that has your own personal touch to it
The wonderful thing about this program is that you can use this with any old framework-res file from any rom/mod package! This means that you can create your own themed framework from DJ20 up to EC07
There are only two stipulations: 1) that you are running a deodexed rom, which means that there are no .odex files located withing the system/framework folder or system/app folder... If you are in doubt about this, a stock rom straight from the store will NOT work! But pretty much any rom found on this website works 2) You have Java installed, and should have ADB properly set up!
Now, let's get down to specific details about the different functions and terminology:
1) Towards the top of the main page is very important! This is an easy view of what settings you currently have applied Always keep an eye out on this, to make sure that you have selected everything that you want to select!
2) Default= Not Changed... Whatever the previous framework had, this option will allow the new framework to have it too... This includes history button/weather icon removal!
This Just In: Add your own Color to the Ticker Clock! This is still in beta stages, so be careful when changing the color... If you see any error messages, DON'T ATTEMPT FLASHING THE PACKAGE... But if it works for you, you have the easy and convenient ability to set any color you want for the Clock in a matter of seconds!
Also, You can now remove the Ticker Buttons on the main screen automatically, within seconds! And the icons are removed, not just covered up!
A new feature recently added was the option for custom Softkey Mapping! This setting can be found under extras, then under Softkey Remapping As of right now there is only the Nexus S remapping, with the original added in in case anyone flashed the Nexus S one and wants to make a new package to go back, but you can make your own easily! Just use the original mapping as a starting point, and go from there
You are more than welcome, and actually encouraged, to add your own! You can copy in your own personal framework, and you can make your own folder with your own Images!
*Notice: Make sure if you do make your own images that the image names are the same as the original! This is important, or the batch will not work!
I have said this before, and I will say this again... Please, for the sake of the community, if you make a package, please upload it I will be more than happy to share it on the front page of one of my Threads, giving you all of the credit
If you have found this Batch helpful, almost to the point of a godsend, you can click that Donate to me button if you want

hmmm well tried v3,
adb said successful push, wasnt, did it manually.
ticker color mod created w/o previous error via v2
flashed and after pause on bootup went black and did the vibrating jig.
restoring now...
tested w/o success gonna try with my pulled frameworks, might be because of recent added settings mod.
great job non the less tb101!
Yeah, build v2 didn't actually say an error message when it should've, so that is actually a good thing kinda, haha...
Can you tell me please what settings you applied? Like, what framework, softkeys (if any), auto-create etc etc
BTW: I am on the IRC, that might be faster
yeah i havent done anything to my phone since the restore after the failed flash.
i used the ec07 builtin frameworks, original softkeys, and purple color on ticker lol.
i opted to push in adb and it said it was successfully pushed, but it wasnt.
side note:
been real busy with tune up etc on the cars i own and work. hopefully this weekend i can try again. and fully set up my new to me dual screen xp64 media pc with adobe master suite. partitioned correctly this time to install the droid dev kit in windows and live cd....
updated OP with new version! has Weather Icon and History button removing
finally thanked the post, cause.... it finally worked for me. thanks again.
is there a dif from op and the one i got last night?
Haha, thank God it finally works for you xP you were like the only one xP
And uh, not anything big I don't think, haha... But probably safe to switch to this version anyways, just in case xP

Whenever I choose to remove the ticker history button and push the framework to my phone my phone won't boot afterwards. I've tried twice
Can you look in the log for me and see if anything is error-ish?
And how are you pushing the framework?
And are you using a framework that matches your current set up?
Sent from my SCH-I400 using xda premium
I didn't notice any errors. I pushed it using the script and doing it myself through adb like I always have. Yea I'm using the framework that I pulled from my phone right before using the script.

in irc now... lets see where ur at
I'm in the irc now, let's figure all this out, shall we?
1. Maybe I'm just missing an easy setting but I cannot seem to get music controls (using Google Play Music app...but also tried default Music [Samsung] app) on the lockscreen. Anytime I want to pause / change the song I have to unlock the device and then perform the action. Suggestions?
2. Also, I came from an Acer Iconia A100 tablet and with that device, I could select the open apps icon on the toolbar (right of the home icon) and this would display open apps...I could swipe the app to the left and the app would close. This doesn't seem to happen on the Tab Plus, is this just a feature in ICS that is not supported in 3.2?
3. Quicklaunch ^ button in the center of the toolbar...any way to get rid of this or at least change the icons that display when I select it?
4. Any way to get rid of the extra button right of the open apps button on the toolbar? They offer you different options (camera, app launcher, screen shot) in settings but I would prefer the button really not be there period.
Overall, I love the hardware...I just wish Samsung would offer a generic ICS rom as their proprietary stuff either looks bad or just gets in the way. The one proprietary thing I've found I do like is the ability to enable mono audio (if you listen to music with one earphone)...first time I've encountered that (be it from a company or just something hacked together by an individual) and I'll be sad to part with that option should we ever get a generic ICS rom.
1.) Im not sure, as I dont use said APP
2.) ICS Feature
3.) cant' get rid of it. you can use honeybar to hide entire status bar, or make the icon for the ^ invisible/blank. You cant edit/change any apps, but you could delete the mini.apks individually and they will no longer show up. ( you could remove it if you are proficient in google's assembler language .smali)
4.) no chance in removing the button. Its hard coded in. (unless your fluent in .smali, etc.)
Overall, I'd agree I think most of us would like a "Vanilla" Ice cream Sandwich, but instead we will likely get this TouchWiz junk. they should at least make options to turn most of it off.
My best advice: donate/support to the guys porting CM9. Right now I think its only @aorth for the GT-P6200/
Lets hope for the best.
Thank you for the reply.
1. Do you use another music app that does offer lockscreen controls?
i do not personally, but I believe there are a few.
I also am fairly sure there are sne lockscreen replacements with his and additional options.
I have had my Motoactv watch rooted for quite some time now and its been working flawlessly, however, the two problems I cant seem to troubleshoot are
1.Where for the love of god do I find a perfect calculator app that fits the screen perfectly. Every app ive downloaded the screen shrinks to the point where several buttons get mashed together.
2. On a similar subject, I have been trying to use the mouse & keyboard remote app to control my pc but when attempting to add a new server on the watch I get as far as adding the name & ip numbers but I cant save it due to the screen being too small for the save button to be shown.
Is there any way to resize the screen on certain apps or perhaps have a scroll option of some sort that will allow me to view these apps in full size somehow?

1. There is a good calculator app included with DPRom. I can pull the apk and post later today/tonight if you need it
2. Download the Xposed framework installer and App settings module found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2490548
This will allow per-app DPI settings. It's better than changing the DPI globally as that can adversely affect other apps. In order to install the Xposed framework and modules, you need to make sure the apks are moved/installed to phone storage first before running them or the changed will not go into effect.
This app allows you to create shortcuts for any system setting on your device.
Basic actions are also available to toggle a few things. These basic actions currently include:
Toggle Quiet Hours
Toggle Rotation Lock
Toggle Unlimited Screen Timeout
Toggle Active Display
Advanced users!
Change any checkbox preference, list preference, or color preference for your ROM that has a system setting link.
For example:
https://github.com/AOKP/frameworks_base/blob/kitkat/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java
https://github.com/omnirom/android_...-4.4/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...10.2/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java
https://github.com/ParanoidAndroid/...jb43/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java
Here lie some settings projects with values you can use if you're running these respective ROMs.
The "Advanced Shortcut" will ask for a few inputs. For example:
"quiet_hours_haptic" > checkbox ? Yes.
And each click will cycle the setting on/off.
Or, you can input "quiet_hours_haptic" > checkbox ? No > 1
To turn the setting ON no matter what state it's in.
Currently, SECURE settings are unsupported for KitKat
Only SYSTEM settings will be accepted.
SECURE settings can be modified if you have root access on Android 4.3 and lower.

D'aw. You didn't have to do that Phil =] thanks.
Edit: AOKP Added, nvm.
Updated. Play store should refresh soon. New APK here already.
:highfive: yay, kit's first play store app! i bought it before i even tested it. (try refunding that one, beeotch )
(who would settle for the xda version anyway? play version auto updates!)
anyway, seems very cool, and i'm excited to see where this app goes!
Chamber of Secrets? Looks pretty cool! Nice work

Practically. Minus Secure Settings (KitKat).
Plus aokp's settings table integration.
The additional toggles are rewritten as well to use publicly documented APIs and, again, integrate with AOKP's settings table.
So...slightly less powerful than the Chamber.
Even more so once the chamber integrates with the custom tiles to create settings resolvers.
Thanks.
Cool, I have a new toy. Thank you J.
doesn't seem to work with MOAR 8.0 rom, can't find the program shortcut in apps drawer. it does show up in settings>app manager though.
i really got excited when i found this in play store! purchased, but clicked refund when it didn't show in app drawer.
am i missing something? or just not compatible with my rom?

If you long-press the home screen in most launchers you can access shortcuts. Some launchers require you to open the "widgets" tab. But you'll find it in one of those places...
It doesn't have an app-drawer shortcut since there's no need to launch an app activity with it =]
Help
I'm a newbie. So I can't use the tool
Please can someone help me to toggle cell broadcast receiver on/off on aosp message com.android.mms?
Jubakuba, could you please confirm that with this app, under the "advanced shortcut" option, you can:
- select a preference listed in the setting.java file (and those preferences are all the preferences also present in the "settings" app)
- create a number of shortcuts for the selected preferences to toggle or values to cycle through (i.e. I want brightness to be either 10 or 20 or 100)
If this is correct I bet this app could be the base for a killer application in android as Tasker is...provided that you give more examples and give the set (may be in the four settings.java files you mention) of the preferences we're entitled to use.
Cutting a long story short: between you and the success there is...a clear tutorial. And I'm looking forward to reading it !!!
I suspect I've not been direct enough in my previous post, let me re-phrase it:
I'm not finding on my phone (xperia m 4.1.2 rooted) the file settings.java: can I still use the "advanced option" in the app ? Which is the actual name of the file I need to search instead of settings.java ? Any suggestion about how to decompile it ?

Sorry for the slow response, this thread is on my backburner apparently and have completely forgotten about it.
Anyway, yes. That can be done.
Your rom is from an OEM, so it isn't open-source...
But you can surely use the values in AOSP, or find the ones being used by your phone via a settings.db viewer.
data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/ on you phones file system will have settings.db files...
Not sure what you'd use to look...but RootExplorer, for example, has a basic viewer.
Finding the values, examples, etc...however...isn't something I can do for you.
This is a very advanced app for the advanced shortcut users...and you really just have to know what you're doing, or figure it out.
For your example (just found a settings.java file for Slim, but this is an AOSP key and I highly doubt your phone's OEM has changed the AOSP keys for existing settings).
https://github.com/SlimRoms/frameworks_base/blob/kk4.4/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java
Code:
/**
* The screen backlight brightness between 0 and 255.
*/
public static final String SCREEN_BRIGHTNESS = "screen_brightness";
So if you wanted a toggle between 0/50/100% brightness...
Advanced Shortcut > screen_brightness > not a checkbox > 0,128,255
255 isn't divisible by 2, and int values (the values being used here) don't accept decimals.
So round up to 128.
Very useful solution for toggling Quiet Hours
This app is fantastic. It is the only solution I've found for toggling Quiet Hours using Tasker (and AutoShortcut). I look forward to finding more uses. Thank you for this.
In my case, I use the "Advanced Shortcut" option and use QUIET_HOURS_FORCED as the settings string. This can be set to either 1 or 0 and will enforce quiet hours no matter what the time settings are. Works great. I'm on a nightly build of CM11.
Hellow how can i find shortcuts for stock andorid? i want the shortcut (turn off all sounds) witch is found in accessibility > hearing
Still available ?
Hi !
This is exactely what i need but i d'ont find the application in Play Store and the download version available here is a zip file instead of apk. How can i install it on my phone plz ?
thx.
Hi! I'm missing some of the functionality I had with jailbroken iOS. I just figured I'd ask if there was any way to get any of these features on rooted Android. I've also provided a description for those not familiar with iOS.
Flex 2 - This is sort of like a high-level GUI for the Xposed framework. It allows you modify variables, override method return values, etc.
Phantom - Disables all of Snapchats security/privacy features. With Phantom, you can save Snapchat pictures/movies without the other person knowing.
Activator - This allows you to perform certain action on set triggers. For example, you can mute your phone if you hold the volume down button or open an app if you swipe left on the status bar.
GroovyLock - GroovyLock allows you to redesign your lockscreen using HTML, CSS, and JS.
Eclipse - I'm 99% this is impossible to replicate on Android (given that there's no required design standard), but I'll add it here anyway: Eclipse basically modifies the UI of most apps to give them a dark theme instead of the harsh white that iOS uses for everything. The nice thing about Eclipse is that you can use it with other color schemes too, allowing you to completely change the look of over half your applications without any difficulty.
Hello my friend.
As far as i know, "Activator" can be replaced by "Tasker" on Android. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm
And for "Phantom" snapchat hack can be replaced by "Keepchat" from xposed on Android. Link: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ramis.keepchat
I will reply back if i find something else
