[Q] Can't boot - Asus Transformer TF700

So I've had my transformer laying around living its own life for a bit, it's been a faily temperatured room, and it has had some power left on it. So today I picked it up and tried to boot it, it was fairly cold compared to my body heat, but it wasn't that cold again. Nothing happened, so I put it to charge for a bit and I saw the yellow/orange light, indicating it was charging. But it still wouldn't boot after that. So I am thinking if this is due to the low/normal temp it has been in, or the button is simply broken by itself? Like are there anyways other than the normal power button to turn it on? I know adb isn't running when the phone is fully turned off. But sending it in wouldn't be too good neither as it isn't running the stock ROM. Any help would be appreciated
__________
Edit:
So just tried booting it on again while it was charging, and saw the yellow/orange indicator blinking two times as I was holding it, which seems like the power button isn't hurt. And last time I booted it as said, it worked perfectly fine...

[Q] Completely unresponsive Xoom

I've got a 4G Xoom, that I bought new about 13 months ago. It's been great to me so far. I had it rooted and was running CM 9 on it and had been doing so for about a month without any issues.
Yesterday, it was plugged into the charger and I happen to glance at it and it was doing some strange things with the screen, flashing on/off, black lines on part of the screen. I powered it off and left it alone for an hour or so.
Since then, it's been completely unresponsive. I've tried Vol Up+Power button countless times without it working. The charge light (white) came on briefly while plugged in, but then went off, never to return. The only reaction I can get is that after holding Vol up+Power causes an orange light next to the front camera to blink twice. That's it.
Any suggestions? Is it completly dead?

Given that it's sealed, how is this done? I hadn't even considered cracking the case.

You may not need to remove the battery as several people have reported success with just slipping some paper between the contacts for 30+ seconds. You will need to open it up though and here's a post with info and pictures to guide you through that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1578365
On edit: here's another thread with good info for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1528706&page=3
Good luck.
Well, I did the paper under the battery terminals for 15 minutes and still no joy.
One item of note is that when I plug the charger in, I'm not getting a white (or green) light. At least not much of the time. Occasionally, I can wiggle the plug a bit and it will light up, but I'm not getting to green at all.
I can put a multimeter on the battery leads, does anyone know how many volts/amps I should be reading?
Are we sure that its not just a crap connection with the charging plug. It is a wimpy little pin and my Xoom needs me to do a rain dance to get it to charge. I have to plug it in, wait a few seconds and then the white light comes on , but only if the wire is flipped back over the top of the screen. Another thought is I use Tiamat ics and there is an option to have the light on or off during charge and I think it is set to off as default, maybe you didn't set that up. I would bet its something stupid and you just need to keep playing with the wire and see if you can get it on. Good luck.

[Q] RIP to my Sidekick

So today, as i was on my way to work I accidentally held down the lockscreen button and the power menu popped up (I was on Glorious Overdoes V2) in the middle of a text and i pressed reboot accidentally... My phone never rebooted... It was stuck on the black Sidekick 4G/T-Mobile screen and then it would go black, then once again that screen would pop up... I removed the battery and put it back in, and without me pressing any buttons the same screen came back up... I let it sit for a while and after 20minutes nothing changed except the phone got really hot. Luckily I had my OLD Nokia in my car and popped my SIM card in it so that i could continue having a phone. I let The Sidekick sit for 4hours and it was extremely hot and then eventually it just turned off completely (Im assuming the battery drained, it was at 90% 4 hours before.) I got home, plugged it in and it wouldn't even turn on the charging screen. Somebody told me that my Motherboard is fried but I don't know. I called T-mobile and they're going to send me a new phone since it's still in the 1-year warranty period.
Anyone know if they're going to be able to inspect my old device and find out if i rooted/flashed it? because i can't get into it or anything to ODIN
I feel like they will try putting a new battery in it, and if it still wont turn on you should be fine.
It got hot because the CPU was churning over something and couldn't enter a low power state. I bet you could coax the phone into download mode and reflash it.
what do you mean coax the phone into download mode? by using the button combo to get it into download mode when turning on? I've tried that and it doesn't work. I tried rebooting into recovery and that wont work either. Also, it wont charge the battery anymore...
I've always had a hard time getting into download mode, and my phone works fine. I just spent 5 minutes trying different combinations until I got it.
I've heard people say trackpad-power button, volume down-home-power button, volume up/down-put battery in-plug in USB, etc etc etc. But the only method that works for me is to put in the battery, plug in the USB, wait for the charging screen, then hold volume down-trackpad-power, releasing power as soon as the screen goes black
You say your phone is turning on as soon as the battery is inserted? What if you have it plugged into USB first?
I had the exact same problem, I sent it into samsung and they just replaced a part(never told me which one) and it was fixed. I did noticed that when the sccreen was poped open to show the keyboard, it would stop. But it's probably a loose cable like I've read before.

Worst case scenario if you can't figure it out here on XDA, you could always sell it on eBay for parts as defective.

[Q] sensation vibrates and black screen bootloop

Hey I have a sensation 4g. All has been well until today. I was at work and got an email. Went to check it but the screen wouldnt turn on. This has happend several times since using Viper rom, which is why I switched to energy. I pulled the battery and went to turn it back on.
Since than all I get out of it is a brief lighting of the screen followed by a boot vibration. After that the screen stays off and it "boot vibrates" at regular intervals never displaying anything. Attempts to get into the boot loader for recovery are met with the same.
If I plug a charger into it the charge indicater lights for about 15 seconds than turns off. Occasionally I can see a red light in the upper left hand corner.
I have used a htc g2 battery held against the pins as a known good battery so I have eliminated my battery as bad.
It is rooted, was running ICS Energy rom.
adb does not detect the device nor does linux or windows, but thats not too unusual since it technically doesnt turn on.
I am assuming that the thing is totally dead for whatever reason, but on the off chance someone has any ideas Im all ears, I love this phone.

Maybe it was a hardware failure. how many times does it vibrate? there is something called qualcomm diagnostic mode that htc phones sometimes get happens when the hboot gets corrputed/damaged. depending how many vibrations you get some people have had luck attempting to blind boot a pc58img.zip to the bootloader to flash a ruu. but since your phone isnt being recognised by the pc as anything i wouldnt hold out to much hope how many vibes do you get?
You might be in diag mode, as heavy_metal_man said.
Does QHSUSB_DLOAD come up in Device Manager?
neither windows nor linux recognize the device at all.
as far as the vibration. I call it a boot vibration, as it is the same intensity and duration of the normal boot vibrate you get on power up.
Its a single vibration of about one second. After that every about 30 seconds it vibrates again.
I did try to shove a P58IMG.zip onto the sd card but I figured that was a long shot anyway and of course nothing happened.
Just out of curiosity have you tired another battery? I know you did check it but one time I was charging my device with a perfectly good battery, it wasn't low, and my device made a weird noise like a high pitch noise then went black. I had no charging light, no life what so ever. I thought I was completely screwed thinking something fried my device. Out of desperation I put another fully charged battery in. Then my device sprang back to life and I haven't had any trouble since. I never figured out what happened. But I was so Glad it worked. So just for curiosity do try another battery. It can't hurt to try it. In my weird case it worked. Like I said earlier the weird part was my battery was good! Not dead! So it won't hurt to just try. You have nothing to lose. I do hope it helps. Good luck and best wishes!

sadly I have no other battery, I have a g2 battery that I can hold in as a substitute but still the same result. I will try to throw that img back on the sd card and see if I can blind install it.
Appreciate the help guys.

[Q] A700-No Response to Power Button

I've failed to find any other posts quite like my issue, so I'm hoping someone would have some guidance on other options to try. Thank you in advance.
My A700 is one month past the warranty and everything was working pretty smoothly. I had rooted it and had the latest CM stable build, 10.1.2. Everything seemed to be working fine. After a few days, I plugged it into the charger as I always do after an evening of playing around on it. The next night, it looked as if it had turned itself off and was completely unresponsive. Unlike most other posts where the tablet is stuck in a bootloop or stuck in recovery or something, I get nothing. The power button has the little indicator light where it is orange when charging, white when fully charged. It is/was white. Pushing the power button (I tried lightly, holding for an extended period, combinations of power button and volume buttons), the indicator will blink orange (as if it going to reboot), but then toggles back to white (when plugged in). Nothing else happens. No vibration indicating the system was booting and no flicker or anything on the screen.
The unit appears to be fully charged based on the indicator light. The system is completely unresponsive when connected to my PC as well.
Any thoughts?

Well, it's 1 month past warranty.
You can try contacting the service center, and see if they will take it under warranty. If not, well, you'll probably have to take matters into your own hands.
More than likely, something has come disconnected at the PWR button. In this case, you'll have to pop the back cover off and check on your own.
With the A500, many folks have repaired their PWR buttons. You can check the A500 forums, as I remember they had some illustrations or instructions.
I have a 700 service manual I think, somewhere on one of my drives, if you want to go this way, let me know, and I'll upload it.

Dead Galaxy s6's led turns on when charged.

Let me explain.
About 2-3 months ago i woke up and my galaxy s6 was completely dead,
i tried booting in safe mode, dowload mode, i tired everything in my power but it just wouldn't turn on.
I went to a chinese shop to get it checked out (it's not under warranty) and they said that the motherboard was kaput,
so i just brought it home and put it in a drawer and forgot about it, and used some old galaxy fame i had laying around.
Today i was looking for something else and came across the galaxy s6 again, so i thought to myself that i might aswell stick the charger in it, just for gigs, the phone is already trashed so why not try, and to my surprise i the LED turns on, but it's not red, like if it's charging, it's a white-purpleish color and its just stays there, no blinking or anything, i tried unplugging it and the led stays, wich leads me to believe that the battery and expecially motherboard actually aren't completely busted. I tried plugging it into my laptop but no responses, i even tried having ODIN open while plugging it in, but 0 response.
So i tried the usual troubleshooting:
power button, power button + volume down + home button, power button + volume up + home button
but nothing worked, i have googled a bit and haven't really found anything about this, so i suppose the purple led is some sort of "red ring of death" telling me the phone is just done for? (it is 2 years old and it has been used to s*** so i wouldn't be surprised.)
update: i've fiddled around with the phone a bit more after writing this and i noticed it was getting a tiny bit warm, wich indicates either one of 2 things:
-the battery is just fine and it's charging;
-there is a short inside of the phone, wich is the cause of its death.
Update2: i saw with the corner of my eye that the led changed color, so i turned around and saw that the led turned to a magenta color (again not the red charging led) and then just turned off completely, i guess it's beacause i charged it for 2 minutes and uplugged it right after.
Update3: And i'ts gone, led's dead and it won't turn on anymore, RIP!
