On xt1033 stock 4.4.4 recently when I turned off wifi and went to sleep my battery drained sharply from 32% to 22% in just few minutes and then normal drain.
I was not having this problem when I just updated to 4.4.4
This problem persists in lollipop soak test.
I would like to know if anyone else is facing this problem at any time.
I did clean install of 4.4.4 and even wiped internal storage but problem is still there.
Also by battery drain is at least 5% in the night when data and wifi are off.
Mostly 10-12% in the night.
My bro has xperia sp and has same carrier but his battery drain is just 1% in the night on jb 4.3
I don't know what the problem is.
Any solution?

After the 4.4.2 update my battery drain has been random. I had a full charge last evening went to bed, woke up with about 6% battery drain on my home wifi. Flat line in battery stats. I left wifi running and commuted to work. Once I arrived at work I noticed my battery was draining rapidly while on my work wifi. 45 degree angle battery drain. I rebooted and the battery drain has disappeared. Has anyone else noticed this on their phone?
Each time after battery 100% charged, it drops very very quickly in 2min - 5min and it shows 94% or 95%. Wifi, bluetooth and GPS are off.
After this quick drop, it will keep stable even a whole night it will lose only 1%.
The battery life is ok for me: normally 3 hours SOT, 2 days usage.
I tried stock rom, GPE rom and CM11. Same phenomenon happens.
I'm just curious that someone met the same issue like this?

Stock 4.4.3 / 4.4.4 included a fix by Motorola for a serious battery sensor issue. This fix also changed the way battery charging behaves. This may be what you are observing.

Thanks for info. In fact I never see it drops to 1%. I'm not sure they're the same issue.
I just updated my phone from rooted 4.4.4 to non rooted android L.
But since the update my battery is draining like crazy. With stamina mode on, only mobile data on and everything else is off.
Screen brightness is on auto and low and I can barely hit 4 SOT. 39 minutes SOT 84% battery. Before I could get an hour SOT for every 10% if I was just surfing the web.
Is anyone else having this issue?
10% per hour? On wifi I guess. Try a clean install, did that myself and am really happy ?
What is fresh install exactly? Should I just download stock firmware from the thread and then flash it?
Pretty much.. Use Flashtool.
I did OTA and have no drain. Guess I got lucky.

i disabled stamina and its working better
So since I installed CM 12 then to 12.1 I have an extrange battery drain that I just can't figure out what is causing it, so I checked on Gsam and it showed that around a 14% of the battery was used by Android OS, and I'm talking about idle drain. I just can't let the phone in idle without losing between 3-4% in less than 3hs... I just don't get it. Back when I had stock KitKat I could let the phone in idle a whole night without losing a single 1%, so I'm thinking it may be a L thing? Can anyone help me here?
Hi XDA,
I'm having some problem with my Huawei Mate P7,
Recently when the phone is in standby, it can drain the whole battery from 100% in a night of standby(while sleeping).
I've reset to factory hoping that would fix this, same problem. I updated to latest Lolipop thinking that would help, same problem...
When the phone is in Smart Power mode and I'm using it while on, the battery hardly drains. It's only in standby it seems to happen. Even not installing any apps except FB it dies.
It seems to be in the stats, 80% power usage is wifi/3g modules.
Any idea what could be going on here? Am I forgetting a setting? Is the battery a problem?
Thanks
Are WiFi settings are those?

Yip settings the same as the screenshot Except mine is "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep - Only when plugged in"
So I charged it to 100% yesterday and left it switched off, plugged it back in and it had lost 40%, sitting at 60% remaining...with it switched off from 100% battery.
Starting to think the battery is dying Attached pics of usage..brand new software, reset, no apps installed, running on Smart Optimization
same battery drain. Updated to 6.0 and the problem is gone.
4.4 was fine. But all 5.1 had the same battery drain issue

Thanks for all the assistance all, I think the battery is just going bad, it takes forever to charge, leave it charging all night sometimes and its still not full tried multiple chargers too
Can't get more than 6 hours out of it it seems tried all suggestions including upgrading to 6.0(made a difference with speed much quicker now though)
Anyone got any other suggestions??
How good is your mobile signal?
If it's trying to use 4G and searching for better signal it could chew the battery. It's much easier on battery running on 3G.
