How bout this case, looks slick I think - Nexus 9 Accessories

i can vouch for this one. it's got a lovely feel to the keys..... really comfortable to type with. the origimi stand function is quite unique and i like it

Looks like you have to use an adhesive to attach the tablet to the case = deal-breaker.

Looks cheap

Maybe I'm just not looking at it correctly, but it looks like the keyboard is like part of the fabric, like there are no buttons, but it "magic" senses you, like in the movies. Is that what this is??

HTC 1, fan-designed phone, would you buy it?

http://designfabulous.blogspot.com/2010/07/htc-1.html
yes yes yes
Looks good. I think the sound would be slightly muffled coming from behind the case but other than that, there'd be nothing to stop me getting that phone...
Yes!
me like
The UI concept is also amazing
Wow I'm loving the UV light idea. But the kickstand idea not so much I think it looks weird if a part of the phone can twist to use as a kickstand.
Everything is perfect. Should remove the kickstand, it's a structural weak point. Other than that, I'd shell out 50 benjis to buy that. (If I had it).
I'd want a physical keyboard as well, then i'd buy it.

Design is fantastic though!!
The design is very sleek and clean, I like it a lot. Would go well with those expensive glass water bottles nowadays, haha! I think if it had a bezel, it would look a bit better (and function a LOT better). That, and if the design wasn't so concave.
Sure would love to buy that. It looks great, but I just dont like the rotation thing. Doesn't look very professional. Otherwise it is great.
Also its not always about the design - its about the software it hosts. Now wouldn't it suck if that HTC had WM 6.5
If a phone could be sexy, that is it! Couple changes I would make tho...
1. Physical keyboard of some sort.
2. The kickstand is a GREAT idea!.. I don't think it would be a structural weak point if it were designed right... Maybe a lock pin on one end and you pull out on it and then twist. This would prevent it from opening in your pocket...
3. MAKE SURE IT HAS A 2GHz processor!!!
The UV light while charging is a dual bonus... Kills germs as stated...and also provides a handheld blacklight. ;-)
I would definitely shell out the beans to buy this phone... when can I have it?

monaco case

I stumbled on this http://cheapdroids.com/T-Mobile-G2-Monaco-Aluminum-Case-Black-Open-Screen-Design.html
and was wondering if anyone had it or had reviews about it, looking to see that it wont interfere with keyboard like some do.
Hey quick question! This case does not open the keyboard right?

From the picture it looks like a solid one-piece, but then how would you get the phone in there?
"The lock on the side holds the top and bottom of the case tightly together and prevents the case from accidentally opening"
It seems that it's some kind of lock, so that would mean it's openable, but don't hold me to that
*Edit*: http://cheapdroids.com/T-Mobile-G2-Monaco-Aluminum-Case-Silver-Open-Screen-Design.html
Thats the silver one, there you can see the long mechanism a bit better, so from the looks of it, you can still open it.
Ohh I didn't see that shot great gonna order one

Could you let us/me know how it is? It looks rather interesting
Definitely looking forward to an XDA member's review on this with better pics!
Once I get it pics and review will be up i really just want something easier to take on an off then the ones that tmobile has cause I use a case for work which is painting, and the tmobile cases felt like i would screw the phone up taking them on and off alot.
I am very interested in this case as well and will probably order. I found a different seller on eBay selling this case, link below. It includes more pictures as well.
http://cgi.ebay.com/T-Mobile-G2-Mon...Accessories&hash=item256083857c#ht_1724wt_983
Also found this retailer that has a video of it, looks slightly bulky.

Well a lot of people around here are looking for that. Something to lock the keyboard in place during normal day to day use. That way it isn't opening in your pocket and stuff like that.

Yea that works out for them but it means im still on the hunt >>
I agree in theory you shouldn't have to need this case. But if you are like me, my phone hinge is loose and it feels wobbly to even text. So if this case can hold the goods together securely then it looks like its worth it.
Just ordered one. Let's see if its better then the otterbox.

Looks sturdy. The added bulk keeps me away though.
I agree, I am worried about the excess bulkiness. Looks like a brick! All my friends have iPhone 4's so I dont want to pull out something looking a decade old! However pics and youtube videos can be deceiving. The G2 is a beautiful phone and doesnt seem to show scratches easy. I too have the loose hinge and like I said in a previous post, scotch tape on the sides is the best answer!

Agreed. I always find myself buying cases for all of my devices. 2 weeks later i end up ditching them going back to naked. right now i just have the stealthguards full body protector on which is excellent even for 10$. I, for one, hate the g2's keyboard, however, its one of the best ones out thus far. (if that makes any sense)
Anybody who ordered this case received it yet? Ordered mine on the 17th and still hasn't arrived....

DO NOT ORDER. Took forever to come and the case is complete crap. Finish sucks. Build sucks. Overall suck

Keyboard protector

I'm looking for a 'screen protector' for the keyboard. Similar to what comes on the phone when they are new.
I haven't been able to find any online, does anyone know of one available?
There's isn't really a keyboard protector out there. There's only a rubber case that includes a rubber case for the keyboard.
I ordered myself one of these,
http://cgi.ebay.com/White-Silicone-...151471?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item255fdda62f
I recommend the light colors so you'll be able to see the keyboard and know what you're pressing. I made the mistake of buying the black one and I can't even see what I'm typing in light. Only when its dark you'll see the keyboards black light.
I am thinking about making my own template for a keyboard cover that will cover the exposed areas around the edges of the keyboard as well as in between each key... in fact, now that I've read this, I'm going to start working on it right now.
if I get something worked out that is functional, I'm not opposed to loaning you my template so you can create your own custom cover. I'm planning on making it a one piece template and using one of the ZAGG screen-cover blanks that you can buy from office supply stores for simplicity's sake.
if it works, I'll post a write-up.
Wont this result in a less haptic keyboard?
I mean, this Phone is bought because of the nice keyboard and when you put something over it, it isnt as good as before?!
the silicon "cover" would, in my opinion, make the keyboard less usable, but a thin strip of film won't affect its function.
to each his own!
I've still got the factory one on mine, but it is barely hanging on so thought i'd replace it. Will make a perfect template hopefully.
Whats the best way to cut it out?

you lucky dog!! I have been using tissue paper and drawing it with a pencil, haha.
since you already have a perfect template, I would just use a craft knife of some sort. a steady hand and some patience should yield a pretty decent template.
I'm using something similar to this
i can scan it in if you'd like and post it up, might save you some time?

Lol why would you waste your time doing that. You could just buy a silicone case that has the keyboard cover and use that template! Unless you're too cheap to buy one

I guess I could do that, but then I have to wait for it to ship, and then I have a silicon case that I don't want. just seems wasteful, and I'm not a wasteful person. good idea for others who want to try and do the same thing though.

I have been looking for one without any hard material one it. Is there one without a keyboard cover?

Soft silicon case with keyboard

Has anyone here ever used one of these cases. The rubber-ness looks pretty good. Does it stay on well? Is the rubber over the keyboard a pain to type with?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Silic...ccessories&hash=item5891433c45#ht_1379wt_1014
I've never used something like this, curious if it works though.
On the picture it looks kinda loose around the Z, that might be my eyes messing up though.
Offtopic: Comic Sans font on the picture...
So I ordered one and it just got in the mail today. So far it seems pretty good. It stays on just fine and has a nice rubber texture. What I really don't like about it is that the part covering the keyboard doesn't have any letters on it. So it is basically a blank keyboard. I'll try to do something about that. If anyone can think of something good to mark the keys with that would be great, because I am expecting a Sharpie to wear of quickly. So far I like it.

When you say the phone has a semi-metallic case and gum, what exactly do you mean? Are you talking about the phone being made partly out of metal?
I mean the metal backdoor of the battery and some another part's with metal around the screen
Looks real similar to mine
That might be what I have and I like my case. Soft (not hard) comes off easy if you need to get to battery, etc.

[Q] Simple folio cases for the 8.4

I've been trying to find a good case since I got the tablet, but I haven't found anything that jumps out at me. They've either been too stiff or too flimsy. Most of them are designed so you can stand the tablet in landscape mode, which I don't want or need. I'd just like a nice case that doesn't have folds of creases for a stand, is thin and unobtrusive, and looks fairly nice. Any suggestions?
I was thinking of the official. book cover, but I know it folds for landscape. Is anyone with it able to tell me how flimsy the creases in it make it? One I got just flops all over the place since it has 3 creases for various angles. ? Thanks in advance for any help!
OEM case might just be the best on the market right now but it's definitely not worth its price for 60$.
It has been reportedly on sale for 50% off before so I would wait until then unless you can get your hands cheaper off of ebay or something.
If you do, let me know! I bought mine at retail price and as good as the quality may be, 60$ is like gold, ITS TOO MUCH FOR JUST A CASE. WHAT HAPPENED

So I got the Book Cover off eBay for $35, which was the only way I'd be getting it. I really like the look and feel of it, but it has one annoying thing for me: The little flap that wraps around the right side. I use my tablet to read, a LOT, and when I hold it, that little flap jiggles a lot and it bothers me. I found a folio cover for like $7 that is exactly what I'm looking for, EXCEPT it's split into like 8 pieces to fold every conceivable way. I just want a cover that doesn't fold into pieces, and stops at the edge of the screen. Like if you were to stick the tablet inside a hardcover. Basically adding a hard shell over it that opens like a book. I am at a loss!
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Case - Poetic
I have this for my Galaxy Tab S 10.5. Top quality case and certainly feels more expensive than $30-35 cases.

I actually saw the simple cover, and while it does what I watch without a folding latch, it doesn't cover the back of the tablet, which I also want. :-/
What i'd really like is a simple shell like for a cell phone, the ones that just wrap around the sides but not the top or bottom. All I'm looking for really is to make the device a little thicker to make it easier to hold. Its too think and slippery.
Something like this for example...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-S5-Ul...818?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item48662b114a
The device is already big, so I don't to make it even bigger with a case. Just a simple ultrathin shell.
So you want this:

Looks pretty good. Out of stock but I will keep my eyes on this...
I have that one. It fits nicely, quality is ok, unobstrusive, price is excellent. But, in a way it combines several disadvantages. It ads bulk when using, still it doesn't protect corners sufficiently when carrying, screen remains unprotected, of course. Also it became to thick to fit my keyboard stand.
