hello
last night i downloaded the gpe rom 5.0 for my htc one m8 , everything works fine but i am not able to turn on wifi it stays off always.
i even tried to install another rom hd revelotion and the same problem happens.
please help.

As you most likely know the thread for the gpe rom is in the development thread- read though and see if someone else has posted a solution to the issue. If not, perhaps ask about your issue in the Q&A thread.

My point is that there are people who were active in discussion in that thread, and they are (probably) all subscribed to it, so they will see if there are any updated posts there. Some of them already said that they own the same device as you, so I think they are the best source of information about your clone phone.

I'm new for ANDROID.
I just bought a MTK6577 S720E ONE X 32GB ROM 1GB ROM from China via AliExpress.
The mobile came with:
> Android 4.1.5
> HTC Sense 4.1
i have problem with phone where my whenever i open Google Maps, its unable to show my current location. And I'm not able to add/remove panels from home screen and i'm not able to create folders on home screen panels. i have contacted the supplier and he advise its a Software Issues and it can be solve but till todate there is no response from their side.
I have read through some blogs/forum where it says that i could try the option to flash a new ROM like Cyanogenmod 10 jelly bean. Can anyone advise me how can i flash this rom and where can i get a stable ROM. hope to hear something very soon.

Hi all, First time posting on forums so hope someone can help. I got a HTC One S a month or S ago and am realising that Flash Doesnt seem to be working. Have tried to find fixes on google and forums but with no luck. I found something saying that it may not be loaded on from the factory where i got it (think it may be a grey import model phone). Is there any ways to fix it. Details about phone are HTC One S 1gb, Dual Core, Android 4.0.3, Software Number 1.11.708.110, HTC SDK 4.21, HTC Extension version_403_1_GA_9. Hi I've been playing with my newly acquired HTC M8 bought from TMobile and a couple days ago I flashed the GPE on it, I really like the GPE rom, but I don't want to lose the Zoe camera, I found a thread here that said it could be installed in a couple of differentways, I tried installing the APK directly from a file explorer and all I get is an error, I also tried to put the file in the sys-apps folder, again no luck and finally tried to install the .zip file from TWRP and getting an error.
Has anybody been able to install zoe on the M8 GSM converted to GPE?

Hello I am using a HTC M8(At&t) . It is Rooted and using AT&T stock HTC Sense ROM. When I receive an update that AT&T pushes it downloads completely, restarts into Clockworkmod Recovery and attempts to install. I wasn't able to capture all of what it says but from what I briefly read it didn't complete the instillation. AT&T pushed out a update that updates from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 and I am assuming that is what the update is for. If that is the case it definitely did not update due to my Android version still being 4.4.2. I want this update to install because it will fix issues that I am having( Snapchat, and other odd glitches) If anyone can shed some light on my current issue that would be great. Maybe there is a way to manually flash an update? Ill be looking around and see what I can find..

I have frequented XDA for a long time and have been rooting/unlocking my phones since I've had my first smartphone (s3). Until now, I haven't really had any questions pertaining to installing custom roms and the like.
My question is - can I install m8 roms that say they are for "all variants"? I ask because I'd like to start trying out different roms such as the AICP rom but have no idea if it will work on my phone. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I currently have an unlocked m8 running the GPE Marshmallow H10 rom found in the Android Dev section of this forum.

The way I see it, You better off flashing a ROM which has a thread within this forum. Otherwise it may not work "out of the box" sort to speak.
You actually have to make sure the "All Variants" is meant for the current version you're trying to flash. For instance, new Viper 5.x only works on unlocked/sprint. I think I tried one of the all variants ROMs once and it needed special modifications to work correctly. *shrug*
You could also ask in the AICP thread if there's anything special which needs to be flashed/modified for it to work.
