The problem is likely routing or DHCP.
Wifi Fixer for Android(at least the original by that zanshing1 guy) will only check to make sure packets are going from the phone to the wifi access point, not to the internet.
Do you have this problem on other devices?
Suggest setting to WPA2/AES if available, n or g or a only, no mixed mode, set a password.
Reboot wifi access point, just to be sure.
A more detailed description of the problem would be helpful.
If you are not technical, turn on Wifi Fixer's built-in logging and send a 10 minute sample while connected to the problem network. It should provide the developer with diagnostic info to help you figure out what's going wrong.
Make sure to detail in the log email what the problem is. (Blank issue descriptions tend to get ignored.)
Hello all and I am here to address the problem i am facing with WIFI in my Galaxy S4.
When i try to turn ON WIFI using the the WIFI toggle from drop down it stays in light green state for some time and comes back to same state and it is not turning ON.
I searched the web to solve this problem and I found that to use a code in the dialer *#*#526#*#* to load a driver. And yes it says wrong number and ends the call.
But when i tried by tapping the WIFI toggle and immediately dialed that code the WIFI turned ON !!!!!!
Now the problem is : I should dial every time i need to turn the WIFI ON .
Please help me with this problem.
My Device details
AT&T Galaxy S4 updated to Android 4.3 (But i am facing this problem since one month)
Not done any modifications to my device
But i tried factory resetting which did not HELP.
Hoping you guys come up with a solution....
Thank you....

Hmmmmm thats strange...
Your phone should have an error with the wifi drivers so try to flash the stock firmware of your phone.
Here is a guide by me
I had also faced this problem when i was using gingerbread. So, i made a backup of my phone and factory reseted it/wiped data using cwm and after reboot my problem was solved:good:
YOU can also try flashing stock rom using odin as stated by danyznd123
BUT FIRST MAKE A BACKUP
Good morning ,
i have a Galaxy light t399 which is having issues when connecting to any wireless network ,
i have tried accessing to the routers but as i noticed is not related to the configuration on the routers ,
i also , tried going to advanced option and assigning an IP address and proxy and nothing , it connects and after 2 or 5 minutes connection fail and i got a message saying that connection fail due to the low speed , but my connection is stable , 10MB it should be working fine , i tried restoring the phone to factory it made it work a litter bit better but it keep doing it again ,
i need some help guys .. !
Note : i do not know if it lost the root by doing the FDR , or if is necessary once again.

Hello everyone,
I've done the Nougat update yesterday with Odin and everything works fine with except of a small WiFi Bug.
I am connected to my local Wifi and it works pretty fine on the phone but the WiFi Symbol in the top bar always shows a small sign. If i check my WiFi under settings it says "Connection established but no internet connection could be made" since i've got a connection through WiFi on my phone this is a lie. I've already restarted the phone and cleared the cash but this didn't help.
I would really appreciate any kind of help for my little problem.
Thank you.
I don't understand this hype of upgrading as fast as possible to next version of Android.Ok it has some improvements but let it settle.
About the Wi-fi bug , you can root the phone and install superstock kernel that fixed it somehow or downgrade to MM again and wait
A simple router restart fixed the problem for me
Thanks anyway.
factory reset or just turn off the router ?
i have the same issue i did every thing please help !!!
i can't connect to any WiFi after update to android 7 officially
it united arab emirates version
please help !!!
I kept losing wifi connectivity (S7 Edge, Nougat). Told phone to Forget network, switched off router for full minute and then reconnected - password re-entry required of course. No problems now for past 5 days. Am in Spain.
