Good morning ,
i have a Galaxy light t399 which is having issues when connecting to any wireless network ,
i have tried accessing to the routers but as i noticed is not related to the configuration on the routers ,
i also , tried going to advanced option and assigning an IP address and proxy and nothing , it connects and after 2 or 5 minutes connection fail and i got a message saying that connection fail due to the low speed , but my connection is stable , 10MB it should be working fine , i tried restoring the phone to factory it made it work a litter bit better but it keep doing it again ,
i need some help guys .. !
Note : i do not know if it lost the root by doing the FDR , or if is necessary once again.

The problem is likely routing or DHCP.
Wifi Fixer for Android(at least the original by that zanshing1 guy) will only check to make sure packets are going from the phone to the wifi access point, not to the internet.
Do you have this problem on other devices?
Suggest setting to WPA2/AES if available, n or g or a only, no mixed mode, set a password.
Reboot wifi access point, just to be sure.
A more detailed description of the problem would be helpful.
If you are not technical, turn on Wifi Fixer's built-in logging and send a 10 minute sample while connected to the problem network. It should provide the developer with diagnostic info to help you figure out what's going wrong.
Make sure to detail in the log email what the problem is. (Blank issue descriptions tend to get ignored.)
Hi all,
I have a Galaxy i9000 and it won't connect to wireless. It used to connect just fine, then one day it stopped working. I ignored it for a while (3G still works) and once I finally got around to trying to see what had happened, I could see that the phone does connect to wireless networks (at home and at work), but once it had authenticated to the network, it would fail at "Obtaining IP address from <network name>". There's no error message, but the phone just sits at that stage forever. Not obtaining an IP address makes it pretty hard to connect to a wireless network
I don't know what happened to make this problem occur, it's been about a month now since it happened. I have AdFree installed on the phone, that writes to the hosts file, right? I suspect that it may have been a hosts file update which had caused this problem, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may have caused the problem?
Thanks!
what about reflashing your phone?
so you have everything stock
if this doesn't solve the problem then contact a service, or if you have warranty, just send it back...
same problem
The funny thing is is have exactly the SAME PROBLEM ... SINCE the same time?!?!
mybe we got some kind of virus for phones? ... altho i do have anti viral software on the phone. and i didnt upload any kind of stuff on it for at least half a year.
hard rest phone
try resetting your phone to factory default
I am also experiencing similar wifi issue..except I get pass obtaining ip address it's after that I get error message "authenticate problem".??
My brothers works fine connects within second on home wifi, when I connect on same wifi I get error message..I have tried restoring previous wifi data..I have done phone reset too but nothing works
I did some googling and found brief answers not that helpful..but it was mentioned that frequency range I'm trying to connect is incorrect.
"does anyone know how to change wifi frequency mgh our any help"
question

Hmmmmm thats strange...
Your phone should have an error with the wifi drivers so try to flash the stock firmware of your phone.
Here is a guide by me
I had also faced this problem when i was using gingerbread. So, i made a backup of my phone and factory reseted it/wiped data using cwm and after reboot my problem was solved:good:
YOU can also try flashing stock rom using odin as stated by danyznd123
BUT FIRST MAKE A BACKUP
Hi XDA Peeps,
I owned my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Shv e210k) for almost 2 years and i would say that it is a wonderful device (variant). However, last week I had problems with the wifi connectivity. The Wifi range became shorter and it doesn't connect with my secured router and even public, "it says saved, secured wpa" i kept on pressing connect but it doesn't connect. Unless if im 1 meter from my router and I have to press the WPA button of my router for it to identify my phone, also with a public wifi it does connect but it drops on certain time and reconnects again, I tried most of the thread here at xda such as:
- *#0011# method which I have disabled the power saving mode
- Factory reset my device
- Reflashing stock firmware
- forget network wifi and logging in again
Am I missing something here? What do you think is the problem with my shv e210k? And would you suggest any solution to this?
Thanks!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I would try asking your question here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/help-thread-galaxy-s3-question-t2690307 Although it's not specific to your device it does cover all of the S3 variants. Also see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3
