Note:

Use custom KK recovery from here.
I prefer [CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch 6.57.9 - cwm 6.0.5.1.
(Internal sd-card refereed as sdcard00, external as sdcard01)
Download rom zip file.
Put into sd card.
Flash the desired recovery.
Boot into recovery.
BACKUP CURRENT ROM
Wipe for flash of new rom.
Or wipe data/system/delvic cache/cache.
Select Install From SD (Internal or External)
Select the zip file and Select YES
Reboot.
THINGS TOBE NOTED
First boot takes time 3-5 mins so be patient.

Xolo Stock Update
Hello Avi Sir,
I'm using xolo's stock update from the site....... yes it gives error.
Could you share some light on the moving back to stock update from Xolo's final update?
Though, the custom roms by yourself are way ahead of the stock ones, but out of curiosity how to revert back if required?

Hey, If u want u retrieve to official stock kk, u have to first flash the official stock jb ROM using SP flash tools. then flash the official final kk update on stock recovery only, follow this method for zero errors, u can't flash official updates using custom recoveries. I hope this helps u,

I have installated this ROM yesterday night. Rom is very smooth, Viper is the main advantage in this. WIFI, 3G everything working fine. Only issue I found that corporate email client is missing and managed with 3rd party app. Got error with Google Play Music which I removed as I don't use it.. Other than that every thing is fine .. thanks for this ROM

i'm on this rom now. i'd like to stay on it - after i get some important issues resolved.
backups using the script does not work. as you'll see, i've tried 7 storage options.
copying to usb otg using the included root explorer and es file explorer does not work.
edit: since you've been successful in deodexing stock kk rom, can you release a S005 version without any tweaks at all?
no pre-root/busybox/init.d/build.prop tweaks etc. this is so everything works as in a newly bought phone. thanks.

@m0han sir,
Sir As i already gave u the results here when i used ur script in this rom.
The error u getting its cause of root permissions only.
the file system is read only so this app doesn't have root permission to write.
Please check root permissions using any root checker app.
I will try to make that stock untouched version - it will take 5 mins to make but much time to upload.
we can use this stock kk as base and delete some files and u can get that version.

@m0han It clearly shows that this script is someway dependent on CWM based recovery as it worked on philz and CTR3.0.

A510 Custom Light Stock ROM Odexed
built on Acer_AV041_A510_1.099.00 and
NoThrills WorldWide optimized Stock ROM
I made this rom for my personal use but I want to share it with you
First of all, I'd like to thank you NoThrills for his roms and recovery
This rom is very close up to his, so take a look at main features on his topic
Here's what's changed:
rom is fully ODEXED (speed up boot and default applications)
default launcher replaced by HoloLauncherHD (JellyBean like launcher)
screen sensitivity bug "removed" (tablet will always start with sensitivity set to high)
olympic stuff removed (wallpaper removed and bootanimation set to iconia tab)
all Acer applications removed exept Ring, Print, DolbyMobile and DRMVideoPlayer
AmazonApps, FileManagerHD, FlashPlayer and TitaniumBackup added to flexrom
all apps up to date on 2012-10-02
Phone services removed to save more battery
original Acer kernel
Installation:
If you don't have it already, install the CWM-Based Recovery.
Download the ROM from this post and put the .ZIP file on your internal or external SD Card.
Start Recovery by powering down your device, holding the Volume down (**) button and turning it on again.
Make a Nandroid Backup. Select backup and restore and choose one of the backup options.
Select wipe data/factory reset. Select format /flexrom in mount menu.
Install this ROM by choosing install zip from sdcard and then choose zip from sdcard or choose zip from external sdcard.
Wait for the installation to finish and select reboot system now.

yes you can but NoThrills doesn't provide it as a flashable zip, you'll have to do it yourself

in any case for the price it's a good product ... but I prefer using the Asus transformer. I'll send you more details in french by PM

You may try to copy /data/data/com.acer.android.acerring/lib/* to /system/lib/* -this file may be not needed by older AcerRing version or it can be extracted during first boot (this is system app after all, "market apps" do this during installation only)
good idea I'll take a look tonight if I have time
also some feedbacks are welcome

Hi,
what means "•Phone services removed to save more battery" ?
Is there really more battery (about 30min - 1h) or only 10min?
Phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk are removed, it's about 20~60min in standby mode or 10min in use
it's also less memory used, a better stability I think
But without it you can't do a factory reset from setting menu (use recovery instead)
and I think it will block the OTA checking
but with a custom root rom you don't need this features
I had using ur rom for 1 day, everything good :good:
Thx so much for ur hardwork.
Thx for remove the useless phone feature in this rom.
Maybe u can try Go Laucher HD, all free n nice.
go launcher is good but not stable
I prefer hololauncher because very close to stock and fully optimized for ICS

regarding flashable "custom ROMs"...

So I found online a flashable .zip file of 4.4 KitKat, listed as made by Dhacker (along with the accompanying Gapps.zip file). I flashed the files and everything seemed to work fine, but I wasn't able to restore all my apps with Titanium Backup because the phone was no longer rooted. I don't have much experience flashing ROMs, is this a common occurrance? Is there a way to root the phone post-custom ROM install? I'm sure there is, my question is more of "how do I root after flashing a custom ROM"... Do I just need to flash a .zip file of SuperSU or something? If so, does someone have a link to the SuperSU.zip file I can download? Or do i just go to the Play Store (or use Gapps) to get SuperSU?
Thanks to all the continuous help out there!
All them views and no one has an answer?

Nightlies are usually built automatically. Sometimes, they have bug-fixes, sometimes they don't even boot. It's at your own risk to flash nightlies.
I have run the official

Any idea where I can get a KK 4.4 rom with full root and SD card support for a BLU Life One M - L131U (Baseband is 850/1700/1900 Mhz - MOLY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V6.P18 - dual sim)? I don't mind keeping my modem.img as the reception is pretty good with this firmware.
I just need full access to Write and Move apps to my External SD Card and my current stock rom (JB 4.2.1) only has emulated SD Card and thus none of the App2SD work!
So I hope a KK 4.4 rom will give back the access I was used to (like under ICS) with using my SD card to store apps.
Thanks in advance.

For L102a model to the user when accomplishing anything complained. Just have a backup of your current ROM and test. After this update all google applications.
If you have backup the CWM or TWRP JB ROM can not restore it in KK ROM.

[Guide] All you need to know to get Android Lollipop running on your Xperia L

You've stumbled across here because you're either a noob, or a very confused person, or ran across some errors that made you choose another ROM. (Or some random lurker) I've created this thread to make it as detailed and user friendly as possible. Anyways without further ado:
I will not be responsible for anything that happens to your device. Follow my instructions carefully, and everything should work fine. This thread is here inorder to prevent the constant reporting of misleading bugs due to a dirty or unorganized way of flashing roms.
Click to collapse
Instructions for installing Lollipop:
Requirements:
- Bootloader unlocked Xperia L
- USB cable for the phone
- A computer with flashtool installed along with the necessary drivers.
1. Download the latest version of CM12 or any other lollipop rom along with the Gapps package. I recommend that you use this (use 5.0x for CM12). Download Thunderzap 4.1 as well. (Don't ask why, but make sure you have this in your computer.) Place the ROM and gapps zip files in your SD card or internal storage.
2. The best way to install any custom ROM is to flash them coming from a stock rom. (Skip this step if you're already on stock 1.17) So if you're not on stock, go ahead and grab an FTF from my thread. (Latest version 1.17 - recommended) Flash the stock rom. If you don't know how to do that use this guide as a reference. Do NOT exclude anything.
3. Now you need to flash a custom kernel. To do this, locate and extract the thunderzap 4.1.zip you downloaded earlier on your computer. Then pull out (or copy it somewhere else) the bootjbcwm.img file. You'll need to flash this file via fastboot. If you know how to do that, skip the next step and proceed to step 5.
4. Power off your phone. Open flashtool and select the flash icon. Now hold the volume up button and plug in your Xperia L to your computer via USB. Select fastboot mode. Under "By DoomLoRD", select the option, "select kernel to flash". Now right above the open button you should see an arrow where it says *.sin. Select that and choose *.img. Locate the bootjbcwm.img file and select it. In a matter of seconds the kernel should be successfully flashed. Now turn on your phone, and hold the volume up button when the LED lights up. You have now entered CWM recovery.
5. Enter CWM recovery if you haven't. (when turning on your phone, and hold the volume up button when the LED lights up.) Once you're here select factory reset and select yes. Then select wipe cache, and under advanced select wipe dalvik cache. Once you've done all of this go back, and select 'mounts and storage' and select wipe system. Now go back and select Install zip, and locate the CM12 (or any other lollipop ROM) zip file. Flash the CM12 zip file and allow it to be completed. Once completed flash the gapps zip file.
6. Now go back and select reboot system. If it asks you to root select no. And there ya go! this is all that you need to do for a clean installation. This method allows to reduce the existence of bugs encountered due to dirty or a disorganized way of flashing roms. Sit back and relax and allow your phone to boot.
Instructions for installing root: (CM12)
Instructions for enabling root on Lollipop:
1. Go to settings. Scroll down and select(tap) build number, 7 times to enable developer options.
2. Return to settings and select developer options. Scroll down and select Root access. From here you can select either Apps only or Apps and ADB to allow root access. For starters you can select apps, and for those who are well aware of what ADB means you can select Apps and ADB. I won't be telling you what ADB means, you can Google this yourself.
3. Exit settings and open up playstore. Search SuperSu and download it. Once it has been downloaded and installed, open it. It will display a message saying, "SuperSU binary needs to be updated." Select continue, and then it'll display a message with the options, "Normal" and "TWRP/CWM". Select Normal, and any moment a message from privacy guard should appear. Make sure you check the "remember my choice" button and select grant.
4. Once granted permission from privacy gaurd, it will ask you to reboot, so reboot your phone.
5. There you go, you got root access now quit buggin people will ya!

My tutorial on the first post is about installing CyanogenMod nightlies for the first time. It's always best to go from stock. I know he's fixed TWRP but still, when its your first time, that's the best way to go. However after you've flashed CM12, you can either use his recovery for dirty flashing and clean flashing (Wipe data, system and cache).
I'm busy so I'll get back to this later.

You can use Bluetooth and copy data via USB. I don't know about USB charging, maybe someone else here can answer that.
About moving apps to SD card, you can move certain apps to your SD card, by navigating to settings>apps. This doesn't let you move all of them, only some. Using the gapps package provided in this this you shouldn't worry too much about space unless you're gonna be installing 4+ drawers of apps lol.

[ROM] [5.0.1] [I9502] sasiskas ROM For Galaxy S4 Duos [CUSTOM]

sasiskas 5.0.1 ROM for Galaxy S4 DUOS I9502
First of all, let me tell you the story and the philosophy behind this ROM.
The story: One month ago I bought an I9502 because it was the best dual sim phone for it's price. Unfortunately it is oriented for the Chinese market so it is full of Chinese customizations and apps. And since there are no International-oriented custom lollipop roms available, I decided to create one by my own.
The philosophy: The rom is based on my personal preferences, I just share it because why not! Since I am not a samsung software fan, I removed almost every samsung bloatware. And Obviously removed all the chinese crap and customized everything I could in order to make the rom more international.
The ROM is based on a the latest I9502ZNUJOC3 firmware. In order to save some time I found the official ROM Deodexed from romzj.com and customized it to my personal taste.
CUSTOMIZATIONS
Deodexed (by romzj)
Busyboxed (by romzj)
Rooted (by romzj)
Replaced Boot animation from China Unicom to Samsung
Removed almost all Samsung apps
Removed all Chinese apps
Added Google apps
Xposed
Camera shutter sound on/off
Added advanced power menu
3minitBattery
Network Stats On status bar (settings->connections->more networks->Network Traffic)
Removed Baidu location consent
Replaced location service from baidu to google
Removed SIM icon from status bar in order to save some space
Removed Sfinder and Quick connect from Pull down menu
In SMS app, replaced sharing location from mo.maps.com to google maps
Replaced Chinese keyboard with multilingual S6 Keyboard (all languages available)
Replaced file manager with S6 file manager
Added optical reader from S6
Added weather from S6
Added KidsMode from S6
Removed Chinese search engines from stock browser
Maybe something else that I don't remember
All languages are supported.
Modified SMS/MMS app, Replaced sharing location feature from chinese maps to google maps
Removed Airplane mode confirmation dialog
Added Application Permission option (app ops) in settings->more->security
KNOWN ISSUES
If you go to "settings->security->sim change alert" the settings app will crash. Generally some items in settings menu are not working because they are linked to Samsung Account, this happens because I removed Samsung Account, I left the settings there in case someone wants to reinstall Samsung Account.
After boot, Touchwiz might crash one time. I'm not sure what causes this issue, but I don't mind since I use Nova Launcher. If you want you can help me find the source of the problem. Fixed in version 1.1
Messaging app crashes Fixed in version 1.2
Contacts not recognized in messages or when receiving a call. Fix according to your country.
Generally the rom is VERY stable, and I have no issues so far.. (I use it since July 2015)

I'm not sure. I have heard of people using i9500 roms on i9502 devices, but never heard of someone using i9502 rom on a i9500 device.

You can't because you dont have enough free space.
You must flash stock ROM, then root, then remove as many Chinese and Samsung apps as possible, then install "Gapps 5.0.x PICO" .
Pico is the smallest version of Gapps ( including only basics google apps) , but it is ok, you can install any google app you like, later from google play store.

You are welcome
It is strange when i unpack your rom on my SD twrp is not seeing it as a backup.
I had to make a backup and then delete everyting from that folder then put your files inside and only then i can do a restore, but restore fails.
I will try once more. I follow your instructions to the letter but for some reason it is not working for me.

That happens because TWRP sees only the content of TWRP folder that is generated inside your SDcard. I should have mention that but I forgot.

Did you try the second method I described? it should work.
Sorry for the trouble but I don't have a second device to try it, and on my device it works fine.
Awaiting your feedback
Ok first because i didn't had lollipop flashed only bootloader and twrp after. When i tried to restore twrp didn't see your folder so i made a small backup first and i then deleted it and moved your files into that folder. Twrp then saw the files and it restored boot, preload but when it starts to restore system it has some strange progression, it starts from 0MB to 172836928327MB and it is always on 0% no matter how much MB it restores, it reaches around 1500MB then it reports Failure. I will try again and will post the log.
Also when it failed first time i have downloaded full rom from your post, i have updated the phone, it boots normally. Same china baidu crap all over it. I again flashed twrp and repeated the procedure.
Wipe data / cache. Wipe system and i try restore but it fail again.

I juts tried it and it works fine for me.
I'm uploading a new Version V1.1. You should better try the new version.
This time it is complete backup, not just system
It is not compressed, maybe the compression was causing problems
Fixed some bugs from previous version
And I'm also trying to find a way to make my ROM as a flashable zip, for easier installation, but I have no idea how to do it at the moment.
can you confirme that more locale is working??
