I wonder if there is a way to manual add country code?
I flashed this fw for p930 from miroslav_mm (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2691815) and everything seem to be fine, except the SMS app does not recognize my country code: +84 for Vietnam
It show the number in full form (+84xxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
anyone have any idea?

Did you try using VPN connections? Maybe with a VPN you could use your code.

Hello.
Few months ago I moved from Poland to the UK.
Sometimes when I try to download some apps, Play store says they're not available in my country.
The thing is, they really should. It happens for example for Barclays or Ovivo app, which are typically British. I also use British networks like giffgaff, ovivo.
I know how to download them using VPN or web page, but WHY? Why is it blocking these apps for me? I've done factory reset, set English language, etc. Maybe there are some google settings where I should change my country?
Thanks.

Try going to your mobile browser and search for the app. once it shows up to be available on play store in the browser, click on the app and see if you can download it...

I've tried to register for a Huawei account on the P8Max, but it always says that it's not available in my region, I've even tried it through a VPN.
Has anyone found a way around it?
Tunnelbear app worked for me. Set it on Hongkong.
Thanks for the heads up, I did try that using a different VPN, but Tunnelbear did the trick.
Didn't work for me

Unfortunately it didn't work for me and Huawei still says it's not available in my region
I'm from Holland btw.
It didn't work for me if I tried to register with the built in apps directly, but I searched for Huawei ID Register and went to that webpage and registered that way, then went back to the built in apps that use the ID and logged in.
I did this on the phone. Also it asks for a phone number, which is obviously Hong Kong based, but there was a link to change that to email.
Hope this helps.

Do you have the Chinese version (703). I have the International one (701) and the app works fine.

Hi, I had the same problem, registered online and BANG, now it works on my phone. BUT I am concerned, since I did that, the phone will end any realtionshop with Google Play Services. I have had to hard reset 3 times now.
Michael
I just need some help if someone is willing...
1. I just moved to Canada from France where I used to have an Android phone and Android tablet. I've changed every single location setting imaginable in every single settings menu on my new Blu Life One X and STILL the Play store insists on showing up in French with euros. Where do I make this change? The new phone has a Canadian SIM and logs in all day from a Canadian location. Even Google Maps knows where I am.
2. Notifications are pop ups to tell you that something is new in an app: a message, an update, etc.
Syncing is the application connecting with servers to update data.
Notifications seems easy to find but is there one SPECIFIC place to stop both of them if one wants? I feel like there are apps doing background syncing that I don't want to be doing so and can't for the life of me find where to get them to stop.
Thanks for any help guys. I appreciate it.

Are you sure the language setting is correct in your system settings? It may have to be set to Canadian(French).

Why would it have to be set to Canada - French?

I'm assuming so that the phone itself instead of just your apps would know which region it is in, therefore, showing the currency for that country. Using just location services may not be enough.

Ok, but why specifically French in Canada?

Not necessarily French but at least CANADIAN, its about getting the phone set to the correct region, not necessarily a specific language. You WERE in France so I suggested French, that's all.

Sign into Google Wallet and click the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
Click Edit next to the "Home address" listed and update the address (please note this is different from the "Address book" which holds shipping addresses).
Open the Google Play website and navigate to any paid item available for download at Android Apps on Google Play.
Click to begin a download until you reach the 'Accept and buy' screen (no need to complete the purchase).
Close Google Play and clear your browser cache if you're on a desktop or laptop computer.
Wait 30 minutes.
Re-open the Google Play. You should now see the Play Store that matches the country in your legal address.
(If this doesn't work, remove any existing cards)
