There needs to be more posts like this on the internet. Kudos to you. And I'll throw in my thanks, too. I rooted my Kindle a few weeks ago, and would have not done it if not for the contributors and devs on this site.
Hey guys, this site and the users that are on it have brought me a long way in phone modding.
I would have had some expensive paper-weights if it weren't for you guys being so generous and unselfish.
I just wanna say you guys are awesome, and I took two hours going through the list of people who've helped me to click your thank you button, but you deserve much more
Thanks again,
Rodpgfx :victory:
I too would like to add my thanks to the XDA community! I am now free from the Matrix (the iPhone) and love my new found power!

Thanks are good and appreciated, but it is probably best to thank the individuals that helped you, rather than opening a general thanks you thread.
Sorry...thread closed.
I decided to type out a thank you letter to a good friend and a very helpful guru named lj50036
I am sure some/most of you know this person, he is one of the people who helped develop CMB ROM for Asus TF700
The very first time I got my Asus TF700 I was having issues with rooting and flashing it, so I posted a thread on here asking for help and in
little to no time I got a notification and it was lj50036 asking if I needed any help just to send him an e-mail through g-mail, which I did.
Not only did he help me flash and root my tablet but also went through step by step process in helping me! It was genius!
After a month I ended up bricking my tablet! It was frustrating because I use it for school and since I didn't like using a laptop
and loved my Android so much! I decided to post a thread even though it felt hopeless! In just about 10mins I received a notification
regarding my bricked tablet, yup! It was him! lj50036.
Not only did he help BUT! He called from Iowa to Toronto where I live just to help me step by step on unbricking my tablet!
I don't think I have ever met a person online who was this dedicated and humbly patient to help! He is an awesome person folks!
Very kind and generous! This is a huge huge huge huge!!! Thank you to lj50036.
If you guys ever need any Asus tablet related help he is your number one help! In return guys! Please leave him a kind feedback!
Even better! A donation towards his help would be just beautiful! Even though he told me the only thing he wants back from the people is just a kind thank you and feedback! But still! I feel like donating show's your true kind of appreciation!
Remember guys we're all android fans here! Not only that! We're also all friends to one on another.
It was thanks to XDA-Developers for bringing us here and a little bit closer together as humans <- lj50036 taught me that!
So to conclude this! I would like to say thank you thank you thank you!! lj50036 A.k.a Joshua Lynch for patiently guiding me and showing me the way!
For anybody who wants an awesome ROM for their TF700! Please check out this thread here!

For anybody wanting to chat about anything Asus tablet related! Check out lj50036 here!

+1:good: Good post..
Thanks Lynch for taking your time helping us....
WOW
IM SPEECHLESS
OP is right, I'm also amazed when I see people caring and helping with great motivation on this forum. I read a lot of things here and it feels good to see there are passionate people always ready to help others enhance their knowledge. So here's my "thanks" post! Keep up the great work everybody! :highfive:
Thank you, lj50036 !
I initially thought I had bricked my TF700t. Then I found his email address on the Crombi KK thread and decided to shoot him an email to ask for help.
Within 10 minute I had his reply, and in 30 minutes (due mostly to me trying to set up the connection) he was (remotely) configuring my tablet. At first, I couldn't believe this guy's kindness. Then, I couldn't believe his skill.
He spent three hours (yep!) helping me out! He said he wanted nothing in return. He said he enjoyed helping people.
In the end, he made sure I understood well how I should do future installations.
All I can say is: this guy is one of a kind. Stay this way.
Constantin.
These kind of stories are exactly what this world we all live in now need more of and reading one here at xda developers puts a smile on my face. Good on you mate and you're a prime example of what we need more of. Cheers

I started this thread for people who want to say Goodbye to our beloved phone Samsung Galaxy S Advance ...
Please guys don't spam the "General" or "Q/A" area with goodbye because this makes searching for special threads/topics
very hard for the users of this phone.
And now, let's say goodbye to all devs and users of janice
Thank you guys!!
Hi guys!!
I want to say goodbye to all guys of our S Advance forum ...
As some of you would have already seen in my signature I bought a new phone.
It is a LG G2 and I love my new phone really much!! Yes, my S Advance is still
alive and working but I gave my phone to my sister because her phone is broken.
So, I will start to say bye to some special guys:
@AntaresOne ... I want to start with him because without this great guy I could never build
roms or such things ... He teached very much of the new rom builder/devs and so our beloved janice
gots lots of new roms in 2014!!
@Chirag_Galani, @Rox ... As soon as Mattia (Antares) started this teaching group
the next great devs of our phone and of Ace2 launched the group, ok, both of them got added by
some noobs like me, so they never had a decision But they didn't leave the group, they helped
us until all of us had a better sense how to build roms and how to solve errors, yes, this was a hard
time for all of our teachers
And surely thanks to @iiD4x who helped me so often in fixing build errors All the time you tried to help me and mostely you solved my bugs, and yes, you teached me lots of things too!!
Ok, I know, I wrote enough now, but let's mention some last great people: @KINGbabasula, @Paul L., @frapeti, ... You and all other people/devs I mentioned above are the reason why our phone got so popular, got so much roms ... On the other side people like @shut_down, @dagger .. all the time when users launch our S Advance, especially you two guys where here too, they had a question, this two guys where here to answer the question, to help you out, to solve each known problems who can happen our phone, the know the right answer how to solve it!! @Android-Andi, @golden-guy ... you are the next in this veryyyy long goodbye post, thank you Andi and golden-guy for all your work, both of you helped a lot to fix even known bugs on roms like OmniRom (Hotspot) and Andi, you did everything to fix bugs on janice, to help me in all my crises!!
Least but not last: Thanks to all users of this phone, thanks to all testers of my two roms Slimkat and Carbon!! You guys tested it, gave reviews and put me in a happy mood when you praised me
Thank you guys for this beautiful time on janice, our phone got more bugfree, faster and better!!!!
Yours, Florian
By the way ... Anybody of you guys thinks about purchasing a G2? Would be awesome ... [ @shut_down, @dagger? Please come to the G2 area because there are no people like you who answer all questions :/ Please xDD]]
@Flo0008
Hey bro,
First I want to say you: have fun with your new device and good luck in everything in your life
Second: I remember the first times that we talked on Hangouts, in february if I remember well, great n00b but with your great interest and your capacity you became a very good dev (take a look at your Carbon/Dirty Unicorns ROMs, they are very famous in the communities). Never forget me
Third: you will always look as my granny, true @Rox?
Fourth: Never worry about: ask me everything, if you need a hand with your new device, with development or everything else, just to say "Hello" or "How are you?" you're always welcome!!!
C'mon Flo!!

Hmmm .... Okay Floo ... Glad to hear your janice has a new friend. Btw thanks for contributing to this poor janice device, buddy. I can only hope there are developers who still feel pity, to make this device better. Although these devices are getting old age I guess. Heh..

@Flo0008 have a good time!
I am sure your dev quality will get better if you start again on a new device
“Old“ devices are a good start to learn general development stuff, new device will be a new challange to learn more stuff
and who knows, maybe your sister will steal your XDA Account *jokeing*

To flo:
Lg g2 should be good but you could go fot the oneplus one, much newer, with more support and obviously better
And let me remember everyone that ste chips suck! Snapdragon ftw ?
Good luck with your new phone, you do great roms, you solved many build problems and sure you spend time on this, thanks for your contribution.
You have to build roms for that beast, and the battery life is great on G2, but you had to wait to 64-bit, the date is more than 2037 haha.
AntaresOne and iiD4x help some people to build roms, they are great teachers :good:
@up
Yes, AntaresOne is very good teacher...
And good luck, flo, hope that your invitation to Austria is still valid (no, I don't plan to go there... For now )
Even though it is very hard to say good bye to you,
Good Bye dear Florian.
I have used all your roms for i9070 and your carbon builds are always my favorite. Enjoy your new LG G2.
But I still hope you will consider development for i9070 once android L is out. Because your sister still holds it.
Anyway, have great time.
