why are home touch buttons covering part of app ? The app is a full screen game that has a chat place and when I open keyboard the home touch buttons showvup on the side with phone or tablet sideways and it covers up part of the app. What could be changed in the app that would fix or make this happen ? is there part of the apk that can be changed for this ?

There is an app out there called Toddler Lock that my daughter likes to play with. It makes shapes and colors on the screen, but does not respond when the menu, home, back and search buttons are touched. When this app is open, it requires a touch pattern to exit the app. Simply touching each of the 4 screen corners going clockwise exits the app.
Is there a video player that has any kind of feature like this? Is there any standalone app that disables the touch screen with the long press of a softkey or gesture?

Act 1 Video Player (paid app)
It can lock the screen at the press of "L" or TrackBall/TrackPad/OJ
mVideoPlayer also has this feature when you press the camera button it locks the touchscreen and all softkey buttons (except Home).
Unfortunately neither of those will play .avi files. Most of my library is in .avi.
I'll start to convert them to mp4 since they seem to be the more popular forrmat.
On my Vibrant I'm using a Ram Aquabox that has a rubber membrane that you touch the screen through. It works perfectly on the screen area but does absolutely nothing on the system buttons. This is a problem since Home and Back are very important for navigation.
So how is the touch on the system buttons different than the screen? I've seen videos about grounding being an issue if you don't hold the phone with the other hand so is there some way I could ground the phone or would plugging in the charger act as a ground?
Alternatively, is there an application that puts the system keys on the screen instead?
I accidentally dropped my OnePlus One and it resulted in a crack that goes from the bottom of the left edge of screen to the right edge of the screen about 3/4 inches from the bottom. Luckily the LCD display still works, but the digitizer (touch) has stopped working in a rectangular area at the bottom of the screen. I now have to use a screen rotation app, combined with on-screen navigation bar (the hardware buttons also are IN that rectangular area) to work with my OPO along with a lot of turning the phone upside down to access all the screen functions.
Today I got to know of the wm size and wm density commands using which I was able to play with the phone's resolution, but whatever I do with these commands, the whole screen area is being used. Would anyone here know of some way to change the usable screen area so the rectangular area at the bottom is ignored for all purposes - i.e. it remains black all the time and everything begins from above this area?
I do have a replacement screen but I don't suppose it is original plus I don't want to risk opening up my phone and putting the replacement.
I'm using CM12 and I've rooted my phone.
tl;dr:
How do I disable touch input on the cover screen while a call is incoming, so I don't accidentally reject calls ?
Full:
I just recently got a Flip 3. I have a dealbreaker "feature". You can answer and reject calls from the cover screen by swiping.
When outside I keep the phone in my pocket, in folded position. When a call comes in and I try to pull the phone out I *always* accidentally reject the call.
I know I can completely disable the cover screen, but that is not what I want. I want to use the cover screen to see notifications an time.
How do I disable touch input on the cover screen while a call is incoming ?
Alternatively; how do I disable touch input on the cover screen while in my pocket ?
The main screen (and any other smartphone in the world) has a proximity sensor, so the screen is off, even when a call incoming, if the phone is in the pocket. Not so the cover screen.
When the cover screen is disabled I can still answer calls by opening the phone and reject by pressing the power button. I *really* don't need touch on the cover screen.
You do not have any option to do that. only with a custom-made cover screen to do that.
Could you nod me in the right direction for coding custom cover screens please ?
@Juuushiro is telling you to physically cover the touch screen with some kind of jerry-rigged case hahaha not software.
There's two cover launcher apps for our flip 3
One is CoverScreen OS
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ini-phone-includes-native-lockscreen.4382335/ (Paid app)
and the other is SamSprung TooUI
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/samsprung-tooui-cover-screen-home-free-zf3.4328953/ (Free)
but I'm not quite sure if they can do what you require or not.
@cproo12 I got this last week and lovin it, you can slide a cover over the screen.

Unfortunately, there is no built-in option to disable touch input on the cover screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 while a call is incoming. However, there is a workaround that may help.
You can try using a third-party app to disable touch input on the cover screen. One such app is "Touch Lock - Touch Blocker for Video, Kids and Kiosk", which is available for free on the Google Play Store. This app allows you to temporarily disable touch input on your device.
To use the app, you can follow these steps:
Install the "Touch Lock" app from the Google Play Store.
Open the app and grant it the necessary permissions.
When a call comes in and the cover screen lights up, swipe down from the top of the screen to access the notification panel.
Tap the "Touch Lock" notification to enable touch lock.
The app will now prevent touch input on the cover screen, so you can safely take the phone out of your pocket without accidentally rejecting the call.
Keep in mind that using a third-party app to disable touch input may impact the overall functionality and user experience of your device.
Split screen from full screen issue
Hi, if anyone's using split screen 2 finger gesture or One Hand Operation + gestures for split screen, did you notice that since OneUi 5.0 it mostly opens split screen apps in the top screen when going from a full screen. For example when I'm watching YouTube in full screen with a gesture it opens it on the bottom side mostly even tho it's inconvenient and not handy, it sometimes opens it in the top part of the screen if I rotate phone in another side. For example it opens it in the top side of the screen if the phone is in full screen - front camera is on the left side, but it opens it on the bottom if the front camera is on the right side. I don't see the logic.
