Hey guys,
I recently updated my Nexus 5 from 4.4 to 5.0. I did install MediaUtilities and set Spotify as the media app to control. But still everytime I try to control the music with my tasker profile, Google Play Music will load and play instead of Spotify.
Does anyone else experience such a behaviour?

Okay so yesterday I updated my market to this play crappie and saw it updated the Google Music app on my ics rom the arhd one and I'm at work now so I tried to listen to music unfortunately it now only plays music I bought from the market... Does anyone else who updated have this happen? Anyway I can get it to find all muic on my scard? I'd like to have all my music play using the play music app.. Thx

I'm running stock 1.85 and I'm trying to use tasker to automatically play my music when I plug it into the car dock.
Tasker does do this just fine, however it starts playing the music without using the default music player app. This means the only way I can stop the music is by manually executing the tasker stop music action.
Does anyone know a workaround on how I can get it to play with the stock music app?

I just recently installed Google Play Music, but now I can't access my local music files anymore. After initially using the Play Music as my player, I said something about "updating music files" and then it doesn't show any of my mp3 any more.
Any one else have the same problem?
So, I just got my HD MAXX on Monday and I am definitely enjoying the battery life compared to my Nexus that I used to have.
I have just started to play around with some of the SmartActions that this phone will allow. However, I have encountered an issue regarding one of the settings.
If I try to set up a trigger to "Play Music"....I get the following screen:
No playlists found. You can add and manage playlists from most music player apps downloadable from the Google Play Store.
Now, all I have as my player is Google Play Music (which has plenty of playlists in it). Both the SmartAction app and the Play Music app are the current updates.
Is this a known issue? Is there a way to get a SmartAction to use (the stock music app) Google Play Music?

Hi All,
Anyone knows how to change default music player on KK Android?
When I click open music player on phone using android wear it opens default music player Google Play. When I freeze that it opens YouTube, when I freeze that Tunein Radio and when I freeze that finally PowerAmp.
However I want to have Youtube and Tunein installed and working. Any suggestions?
Tried the clear defaults but all above mentioned apps have that option greyed out, tired assigning PowerAmp to MP3 files and I can and it now opens when I double click but Wear still opens google one.
Anything else?
