Help! Stuck at boot screen.

I unlocked, rooted, installed the new AOSP on my OPO and now it won't boot past the Logo and Powered by Android screen.
I can still get into the recovery, but that's about it.
I'm newish. Help please.
Did you make a nandroid backup before flashing the new ROM?

Nope. I followed a tutorial and it didn't even mention that. I can get into recovery and still see the AOSP.zip and the GAPP.zip, but don't know where to go from there.
Ok, well lesson learned I guess, always make a nandroid backup and keep it on your phone in case of emergencies like this. You can either adb push another ROM zip to your phone and flash that, or you can fastboot flash the CM11S fastboot images.

You'll find the CM11S fastboot images here:
https://cyngn.com/products/oneplusone/
Flash those, then get it booting, then make a nandroid.

Or you can follow this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2826541
But, stop after step 3 because step 4 will relock your bootloader.

I'm guessingnyou didn't the a complete wipe in twrp before installing AOSP? Because same happened to me, got stuck at boot screen. As previous person Said: download CM11S rom zip File again On Ur pc. Then boot phone into twrp recovery. Then connect to pc, and push the CM11S zip file into Ur phone using CMD. I trust u know how to do this.

If you have a USB OTG cable you can mount a usb storage device from the recovery and push the rom file to the internal storage of your device.
Anyways...Read twice, flash once. Do you even know what a nandroid backup is?
Probably not, the guide thread in my signature explains how to do it in detail.

Thanks all!
I used fastback and flashed the stock image back and all is good. Now to figure out how I screwed it up...
Any roms really worth flashing at the moment?

All of them are worth flashing. It just depends what kind of rom you're looking for. And all of them are stable so you won't have to worry about stability.
The most popular rom? Probably Mahdi by forum post views. Mahdi is a mix of every gesture from all roms while maintaining performance. The choice is yours though.

They're all worth flashing. Asking which ROM is best/most stable/fastest/prettiest, or asking for a suggestion isn't allowed so we shouldn't be answering that, here's why. To say one ROM is better is to infer that the others are inferior in some way. This is disrespectful to the devs who spend their spare time bringing us these awesome ROMs free of charge. Each user has different tastes anyway, the best way to see which ROM suits you is to flash a few and find out for yourself.

[Q] Need Some Help

Hi,
Need some help.
I just upgraded to CM 11.0-XNPH44S.
Now after doing that my root gone so do I need to unlock the bootloader again and reroot it or reroot alone is possible.
Unlocking the bootloader means wiping out the phone to factory settings and I'll lose many data in doing that.
Plz help me out.
PS : Can anyone provide the link for OPO Toolkit v2.0 coz mediafire.com link provided in actual post doesn't work and every post on web directs to that link only.
ThnX
Sumit Verma
First off, you don't need a toolkit, so don't bother. You don't need to unlock the bootloader again, it doesn't relock unless you lock it yourself. All you need to do is flash the sorts zip in TWRP and you'll have root again.

Thanks Buddy for UR quick reply.
Sorry to ask you but can you tell me the stepwise procedure of the way U mentioned above & where to find the zip file U mentioned in your post.
It'll be a big help for 4 me.

Here's one I prepared earlier:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
Check out Section 4, that has a link for SuperSU and explains how to install it. Feel free to ask any questions if you need to.
Transmitted via Bacon
and, if you want to use cm's Integrated Superuser, just flash this zip instead of supersu
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9zgutQLF14HUlJReXM0NE9TU1k/edit?usp=docslist_api
make the superuser settings visible via terminal
su
setprop persist.sys.root_access=3
and you're fine! this even survives ota updates, as long as you DON'T opt for automatic re-root via recovery

Sorry to disturb you again.
I visited the link you provided but I had few doubts.
Before updating to CM 11.0-XNPH44S when I boot to recovery it goes to TWRP Recovery menu now it goes to Cyanogen Recovery
menu so do I need toinstall TWRP recovery again the way you told or Cyanogen Recovery will do fine.
Can we install SuperSU using Cyanogen Recovery.
Even if I have to do the way you told will my data & apps will be there or it get formatted.

You need to go into Developer Options and uncheck the 'update CM recovery' option. Because you failed top do this before you've lost TWRP during the update. Just flash TWRP again and you can flash SuperSU again. No you can't use CM recovery for this. You won't lose any data or apps.

a. boot into a custom recovery of your choice (bootloader needs to be unlocked)
b. flash the provided zip file ( https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9zgutQLF14HSzI0WXFlQW9fZHM/edit?usp=docslist_api)
c. follow the instructions in the post you quoted

Hi Timmaaa,
Just one question, whenever I receive any message from you it shows in the last line "Transmitted via Bacon".
What is this software and where I can get this.

Updating TWRP through manager app

Is it possible to update TWRP through the TWRP manager app on the OPO?
It displayed a warning about if the partition recovery is wrong it'll bring the phone. See attached pic.
How can I 'verify the recovery partition is correct' while in CyanogenMod?
Sorry if this is an incredibly stupid question.
Cheers
It is probably better to flash it with fastboot. Or look for a zip in the official thread.
That app is less than reliable in all of the TWRP threads I follow.
Don't use the app, it's completely rubbish, I've seen multiple reports of it not working. Fastboot is the right way.

I was going through the same steps and stopped where u stopped also. Good to know that app is useless. I was probably one step away from bricking my phone lol.
Sent From Lollipopified Bacon Goodness!
If you MUST... use Flashify.. it works well and I've updated TWRP using it on the OPO. Works fine.

[Q] OnePlus one Operating System HELP

hey guys , I bought an OPO in china when I was on vacation but now it has the color os which is horrbile and has no google services. how can I switch to the Cyanogen?
Take a look at the general section or faq. There must be guides how to change to cm11
Send by Hyperdrive on one+One
I did check but the problem is that i have the 64gb and i saw people saying that after they changed to the cyanogenmod it showed that they had 16 GB only
Go to my guide thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
Follow sections 1, 2, 3, and 8. You shouldn't have any problems with your userdata (64gb internal storage) at all, but if you do it's as simple as flashing the correct userdata file.

Hey thankyou very much but I have a problem
I started following the instructions until i got to UNCHECK UPDATE RECOVERY WITH SYSTEM UPDATES , well i have the color os and it doesn't have that option in developer options??!?
Could I just download the newest TWRP recovery instead of the 2.8.1.0 and then it won't have anything to update to ?
Or do I have to somehow find this "Update recovery with system updates" button?
Thankyou very much guys
I skipped the custom recovery part Because of the option that I couldn't find(Advice from the OP forums) and went straight to 8 And it still worked!!!!!!!!

The point of installing the custom recovery was so you could make a backup of your stock system in case you need it in future. So whoever told you to skip that part doesn't know what they're talking about.

Just in case something goes wrong in future and you need to restore your phone to the way it was when you opened the box. It doesn't matter now though, it's too late.

[Q] Got the CM 12 update but.. (help!)

Hi XDA Forum Members,
I had rooted my OPO a while back using TWRP.
I got the CM 12 official update this morning but when I said Install, I saw the TeamWin Menu when the phone rebooted. Since I don't really know the technical details, I didn't know how to install CM 12 (and if I will lose data if I do so). So I just rebooted to system.
Could you please help me out here? If I want to update to CM 12, how do I do it? And if I do so, will I lose data and have to root my phone all over again?
Thanks in advance!
-Apoorva
Just grab the update from here And flash it manually with TWRP.
Transmitted via Bacon
Thanks but which option do I select among the 4 there? (I wasn't kidding when I said I don't know technical stuff )
