Hello!
I am looking to restore my Moto G 4G (xt1045) to stock, because after rooting and installing a custom ROM, I am having GPS issues. I did not realize that there was no 4.4.4 factory image!
So now I am trying to figure out how to get my GPS working again. Is there a way to downgrade to 4.4.3? I've been reading there is an error when downgrading. Or can someone provide a modem image from the 4.4.4 stock rom so those of us with this issue can flash it using the method mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/guide-fix-gps-custom-rom-backup-special-t2909768
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Hi,
I have US purchased Moto Gs, have latest 'Motorola Update Services' installed and tried hundred times to check for update in Settings > About but I'm done waiting now, where can I get the latest version to flash and any guide?

What is your model number? Need some basic info to help you out.
XT1032
I think I need Brazailian 5.0.2 ROM? I want to be on stock (lollipop recovery, lollipop bootloader, lollipop radio etc..) so I can recieve future updates. A simple guide would be helpful.
Here's a guide for GPE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/gpe-ota-lrx21z-5-0-1-xt1033-xt1032-t2969847

How do I know if mine is GPE or not?
Thanks
Where did you get the phone? Was it factory unlocked? What ROM is currently on the phone?
Ok got it. I purchased from Amazon so its not GPE.
The above mentioned guide is for completely stock? With stock bootloader, recovery, radio and everything? And will allow me to get OTA updates?
Thanks
I don't know about OTA updates since you'll be flashing a non-US ROM onto your US phone.
You should unlock your bootloader before proceeding so you can flash back if there is a problem.
This cross-flashing business can get quite complicated and you need to remember that any flashing of ROMs can result in a bricked phone.
Hello Android gurus
I tried to find the answer to my problem in the other threads, but I'm still not 100% sure if I should proceed.
. I had rooted xt1032 moto g prior to 5.0.2 OTA that came out yesterday.
I used full unroot with supersu prior to applying the OTA thinking it would be ok. I guess I screwed up, my phone is soft bricked.
I can get in stock recovery but otherwise it is on boot loop and ends up with 'no command'.
I have the moving line problem on the bootloader white screen which seems to imply a diferent version of kernel and bootloader, (which I do not full understand)
.. Which makes we wonder if it is unsafe to flash the stock rom 4.4.4 image of my phone.
And if it is safe, will I be able to update via OTA after that?
What are my options? Thanks in advance!
The moving line issue is probably due to the fact that you have the 41.18 bootloader on your phone.
I also have a Koodo xt1032 with the 41.18 bootloader and was able to flash back to stock Telus 4.4.4. Do not flash stock 4.4.2 as other XDA members have said that flashing 4.4.2 would brick your phone.
I'm checking for OTA updates but I keep getting the message that my phone's software is up to date.
Hey. I have searched a lot of find to find answers for this but have been unsuccessful so far. I am hoping somebody here might be able to help me.
I have an xt1032 which i have converted and upgraded to 5.0.1.
I want to downgrade it back to the UK Kitkat 4.4.4. I downloaded the firmware and flashed the partitions expect in gpt.bin and motoboot in order but the phone keeps stuck at the boot logo.
Cyanogenmod doesnt install either. I have tried several recoveries but no use.
Can somebody help me downgrade back to the original XT1032 UK firmware? :crying:
Help in on this thread.

Yo!
Check out this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/how-to-koodo-telus-downgrade-upgrade-lp-t3042110
and follow the instructions word for word.
You will however need to flash the firmware of the UK XT1032 which can be downloaded from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
Al the commands work just make sure you use mfastboot, like the tutorial thread says. There's more help there if you need it, I did this 3 nights ago and it went swimmingly with this guide so you should have no problems. Hope this helps
Thanks for the reply. I'm just scared of flashing motoboot and gpt bricking my phone. But if it worked for you, i hope it does for me too. Thanks again.
Also, does this method solve the screen ripple effect after the downgrade to KitKat?

When running Kitkat the ripple is still there but if you turn the screen off and on again it'll go away. If you then OTA to 5.0.2 there's no rippling whatsoever .
P.S. for the flashing of motoboot it is paramount that you use fastboot. I'd have a gander at the comments in the first thread I linked you the details are there.
I tried rooting my phone, but after I unlocked the bootloader the WiFi couldn't be turned on. I tried on the quick settings and then on the settings and I couldn't enable WiFi. The phone is a Moto G 2nd Gen, running stock Lollipop 5.0.1.
Have had this happen to me in the past and re-flashing the latest modem did the trick for me. Try flashing the latest stock modem (if ur still on the stock rom) and see if that helps.

I'm kinda new to flashing and I don't know what's the modem for my phone. Can you link me please? And thanks for your help.
Also, does it need root? I don't have it and hence I've unlocked the bootloader I'm planning on it.
