Hi All,
I did a factory reset on my unrooted Nexus 5 & lost all my videos after doing that.
I am running 5.0 now & the phone functions normally.
I am specifically looking for video files for which I forgot to take a backup.
Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.
Just videos? Or your files and sdcard storage in general?
Just video files.. Everything else was backed up before the factory reset.
Man, sorry to say but I think your videos are gone if you forgot to back them up :/

Factory reset wipes all his files, apps, and data. You will have to reinstall all of them. Any photos he had on the phone are gone There is no way to recover them
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727
If he had back up set, Google will restore some stuff when starting phone up and entering Google account.
Apps at least.
Good luck.

A couple of days ago i downloaded stock firmware for my galaxy 9295 and installed it with ODIN. I have installed custom ROMS before and internal memory has never been deleted, but this time it decided to disapear apparently. Is there some way to recover these files? I've tried the "undeleter" app from the store but it doesnt find anything. It's the pictures from my gallery i want back.
I've got the same problem here cleared user data from Recovery hoping only aap data will get deleted, couldn't believe my app data is still there and everything else is gone.
P. S GUYS I HAD SOME REAL IMPORTANT DATA THERE WHICH I CANT AFFORD TO LOSE PLEASE HELP ME OUT OF THIS. .
So a friend of mine recently factory resetted her S7 after she couldn't unlock it. But in doing so she didnt know all her data would be gone. She had tons of photos and videos that she liked and now they are all gone.
Is there a way to recover all that data? Or is it lost forever?
Maybe from Google photos if setup backup. Maybe this is stolen phone, not hers? Anyway only from backup, internal memory is encrypted.

Oops. At least I wasn't the original bumper lol.
How can you factory reset your phone which the phone is locked up? in TWRP?
You should have made a backup or mount your phone to PC in TWRP before factory resetting.
Hey guys,
I have the LG G Flex 2 (h950 att) on 5.1.1 (V11x). The problem is that.. I erased the storage folder on internal memory while connected to the computer, so that erased all my media data like photos, music, videos, etc. All my apps are ok.
Now, I want to factory reset it but i have a doubt.
The problem is that I rooted my phone as said in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/root-easy-root-att-flex-2-5-1-1-t3178354
And it rooted well, but now I don't know if I factory reset it from android options, could it brick or somethig? I really need to know, I don't know if the way it was rooted could be a problem.
Thanks!

If you hadn't made a backup, it's really gone, forget it my bro.
If you had google photos app, theres a chance that they got automatucally backedup to google's cloud. After factory reset (if the device was encrypted) the decrypt key is gone.
