[Q] ADB Install not working on Verizon LG G2 - Other Tools & General Discussion

Hello
I am attempting to install a custom app on my lg g2 with adb. I used command adb install appname.apk but the app never installs and I never get a successful prompt in adb. Are there additional settings on the Verizon LG G2 Phone that I need to update to get the install to work?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Help! Stuck in bootloop/adb not working

I have the LG G2 D800 (AT&T), my phone is completely wiped and all I can do is get into TWRP and ADB is not recognizing my phone. Is there any other way I can push files to the sd card (it's non-removable)? I'm not sure exactly what the ADB sideloader is in TWRP or how it works but even if I try to run it, it never gets past "Starting ADB sideload feature....."
Thank you in advance for your help :fingers-crossed:
In TWRP you can go to "Mount", select "sdcard" and then Mount USB Storage.

When I try to mount USB OTG, error message unable to mount '/usb-otg'
And when you are in TWRP you can't access the device via ADB right? So my only suggestion is to put your phone into fastboot.
To do that go into TWRP->Restart->Bootloader. In your computer check the device with "fastboot devices".
I'm not very familiar with fastboot, so you need to search a little for this. Good luck
I'm running v2.6.3.2 and the only options are to boot into recovery or system, system just stays on the LG logo though. I was hoping there would be a way to use the ADB sideload feature in TWRP or use the terminal commands
Ok I was able to use this terminal command to restore the stock ROM
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
and everything is working, never again will I underestimate the importance of backups!!

Hi Guys!
I forget to make backup and now there is no ROM install in my LG G2 LS980. I am currently using TWRP 2.7.0 recovery. The problem is USB-OTG not mounting and i think because of this issue i also can't able to install ADB Drivers as in PC device manager there is no drivers showing their even i tried Universal ADB drivers. Can anybody help me how to install ROM in my G.2 The ROM which was installed in my phone was Cloudy G3. I tried almost every trick and procedure but failed to recover my ROM.
Kindly help me in this matter. Thanks in advance

Hmmm.. You basically have 2 options here.
1. Get ADB working (it's not hard, try the Koush's Universal ADB driver)
2. Restore back to stock ROM, but you will need Fastboot working.
The thing is, if you can get Fastboot working, ADB should work too.. so...
If you need help with ADB, just ask..
Maybe this will help you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219

1) Got ADB up and running on your PC?
No: Use search option, there's plenty of guides in this forum..
Yes:
2) Make sure you flash the latest recovery image. Here's the link to the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2608377
Place the recovery image in the same folder with your adb and fastboot
Connect your phone to your computer
Boot into bootloader by holding power + volume down
Open command prompt and type:
fastboot flash recovery PUTNAMEOFRECOVERYHERE.img <press enter>
3) From here just follow this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929
(It's for HTC phone, but applies to moto g, too. Tested by myself)
4) Enjoy!
After flashing miui in moto g5s plus it is showing no os installed are u sure to reboot?
plz help me?

D800 Bricked Badly

Hi My G2 was bricked that fastmode started and every time a enter a command it would hang and not process for example fastboot erase recovery then it would have a recovery...... and nothing.
Hey still looking to fix? Look for lgg2 stock firmware and use LG flash tools to put 4.4.2 back on and it will be all original. If it's the d800 Google Supersport and big fau and you should be able to find it. It's a 1.9gb installer with complete step by step instructions on the xda page. If I fine it later I'll edit this
first install lg usb drivers and then pda Net drivers then go to fastboot mode

I want to first thank Messie2050 for all his work on this. I know I'm making a mistake when I'm attempting to root this phone but I don't know what exactly I'm doing. I follow each step to a T. When I get to opening the command prompt and type in fastboot etc, windows says it doesn't recognize the command "fastboot" and to make sure I typed in correctly. I also tried on my netbook which is running Linux. It's slightly easier however it just waits on the device. I don't know how to extract the twrp file on a Linux machine. Can anyone help? I've tried everything to root this phone!
I am getting a msg that says invalid kdz....
Yeah, still not sure whether to use MTK or MTP.
My LG UP said LGUP can't load the model (C:/Program Files (*86)/LG Electronics/LGUP/model/com
