[Completed] Stock android ROM after installing Android Revolution HD 52.0 - XDA Assist

Hi all,
I tried to install Android Revolution HD 52.0, but it didn't work. I tried to do it according the following steps:
I rooted my samsung galaxy S3:
Step 1 – Download the above mentioned file for Galaxy S3 to your computer. (Android Revolution HD 52.0)
Step 2 – Connect and mount your Galaxy S3 USB memory on your computer using the USB cable.
Step 3 – Now copy/paste the downloaded Android_Revolution_HD-SGS3_40.0.zip file to your SD card. Make sure the file is in the SD card root (not in any folder).
Step 4 – Then turn OFF your phone and disconnect from the USB cable.
Step 5 – Now to get in the Recovery Mode. Switch ON the phone while pressing and holding Volume Up + Home + Power buttons together.
Step 6 – Then, perform a cache wipe by selecting “wipe cache partition” as you can see in the image below
Until here everything just work fine, but step 7 didn't work. I don't have an advanced option so I couldn't clear the dalvik cache.
Step 7 – Now this is optional, but it is recommended to perform a wipe of your dalvik cache as well. You will not get into boot loops or any other errors. From CWM recovery, go to ‘advanced’ and then select “wipe dalvik cache”.
The I did step 8 and 9.
Step 8 – Then go back to the main recovery screen and select “install zip from SD card"
Step 9 – Now select “choose zip from sdcard” as shown below. Using your volume keys, navigate to the Android_Revolution_HD-SGS3_40.0.zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button. Setup will start now.
It looked like everything went OK because it said everything was installed, but there wasn't a next step anymore.
I just got back in recovery mode. So 10 and 11 aren't done.
I rebooted the device and the stock ROM was on the device.
Step 10 – AROMA Installer will start now. Choose Data Wiping Option if you’re coming from stock firmware or any other Custom ROM. (Skip this step if you’re coming from an earlier version of this Firmware). Follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 11 – After the installation completes, Reboot your phone by selecting “Reboot system now” from ClockworkMod Recovery menu as shown in the picture below. It might take a couple of minutes on first boot. So, be patient.
Can someone help me with this?
If you need more information I can provide it.
With kind regards
Harm

What recovery are you using and which version?

[Q] Help with Rooting

I am currently trying to root my S3 using the instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709 I got to section 2 where i saw the following instructions. I followed them to the 2 but then at step 6 instead of installing the zip i hit reboot. Now the phone is stuck at the page where it says Samsung Galaxy SIII. This page shows up as soon as I plug the battery in. Did I brick my phone?
Step 2: Download and install the EZ recovery App from HERE (If your coming from section 1 and already have a custom recovery, reboot recovery and skip to step 4).
Step 3: Open app, select CWM recovery, tap the pulldown menu, choose CWM 6.0.1, select flash, then reboot recovery.
Step 4: Perform a Nadroid Backup from the "back up/restore" menu(optional but recomended)!
Step 5: Wipe Data/Factory reset, then under the "mounts & storage" menu Format System.
Step 6: Navigate to "install zip from sdcard", then from there "choose zip from sdcard", and finally install the rom you downloaded in step 1.
Step 7: Reboot.

what is this ?
1) Is this your work ?
2) from the link page you have given to the download page, it refers to your blogspot at Idroid Horizon. And the download link refer to another page which is actually @fahadali2315 work to port the S5, based on Xnote custom ROM (created by @soloilmeglio & @xentrix).
3) If this is not your work, why did you post such thread on the development page ?
4) Your this post never even put any of the dev name. It's not being respectful to the dev.
5) XNote Galaxy S5 port has its own thread already, maintain by the dev himself, and a Q&A thread maintain by me.
and lastly, it doesn't even need Gapps separate installation.
So can you explain further, what thread you are trying to post here ?
He did something wrong, may be he wants to post this on another forum hahahahah

[GUIDE] Installing XPOSED on Galaxy S4 SGH-1337M (2017) (WITH PICTURES)

THIS GUIDE IS ONLY FOR GALAXY S4 SGH-1337M
Guide made on 2017-03-12
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU DO TO YOUR PHONE!
PERFORMING THIS WILL MAKE YOUR WARRANTY GO AWAY!
LEAVE A THANKS IF IT WORKS
This guide is split up into four parts meaning that if you just want to root your phone or just want to restore to stock then you can YOU CAN NOT INSTALL XPOSED WITHOUT ROOTING AND GETTING STOCK FIRST!
Welcome to my guide on how to install XPOSED on the Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-1337M) this guide is strictly for the SGH-1337M the reason I made this was because I spent a lot of hours trying to put parts of threads together since no one had specifically made a guide that was simple and noob friendly for installing XPOSED. Another reason is some people feel uncomfortable following guides made for the SGH-1337 mainly because it is different from the SGH-1337M. Another reason was I found no updated 2016/2017 guides for it. Follow every part step by step or you may risk losing your phone.
Also make sure you backup anything that isn't synced with Google that you want to keep, photos, music, contacts. This will delete all data on the phone.

[GUIDE] Upgrade P2C72 (already with a42) to Nougat ver. S233

For all those with P2C72 version that came with a42 ROM (version S048) that cannot get Nougat OTA, here's how you can manually do it:
1. Download this file. (1.91GB)
2. Rename the downloaded file to "update.zip". (The file you download is already in zip format, so if you do not have Windows set to show file extensions, just rename to "update").
3. Copy the file (update.zip) to the root of your sdcard that is already in the P2.
4. Turn off the phone. Hold "Vol Up + Vol Down + Power Button". Release the "Power Button" when the phone turns on. The recovery mode will load in about 3 to 4 seconds.
5. In the recovery mode, select "Install Update Package", then "Yes".
6. Allow the phone to restart when the update procedure ends. You're now running Nougat version S232.
7. To get the version S233, download this file. (78.3MB)
8. Repeat steps 2 to 6. (Delete or move the first update.zip to another folder)
9. Time to do a factory reset. Enter the recovery mode. Choose "Wipe User Data". First do "Fuse Wipe Data", then "Fuse Format Data", and finally "Wipe Cache", all the while selecting "Yes" when asked.
10. If you have not already "applied" to have your bootloader unlocked, you can do that now.

Rooting SM-T860 OneUi-3.1 and installing TWRP (UPDATE: Updating to latest version without losing data)

(EDIT)
OneUI 4.1 has finally arrived, if you haven't got your Tab s6 rooted, you can just follow the instructions below. This new part is for the people who followed the guide to root their Tab s6 and now want to update to the new firmware version without losing their data. This guide is inspired in https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...te-rooted-device-whilst-keeping-data.4245989/. But for simplicity of search I have decided to place it here
(END OF EDIT)
I ran into some problems and took some time to figure out how to install TWRP and root the tablet. The normal procedure by which you flash TWRP and then flash Magisk doesn't work as the download mode won't accept non-official files.
Then, once I got my tablet rooted by the patching method of Magisk, I installed TWRP with their app and got stuck in the logo due to not formatting the data.
After some research and quite a lot of time, I managed to get around that and be able to do everything.
Here is a step by step detailed guide of how to do so.
ATTENTION: These modifications void your warranty and may brick your device. I am in no way responsible for any damage you may cause. Follow this guide at your own risk
Requirements:
-> Latest version of the firmware of your model (I used this site which had the latest version and decent download speeds https://galaxyfirmware.com/model/SM-T860)
(To find which version to download, go into the Phone app, and type *#1234#)
-> Latest Magisk.apk file (https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases)
-> Disbale_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt zip file (https://zackptg5.com/android.php#disverfe)
-> Latest TWRP img (https://eu.dl.twrp.me/gts6l (europe) or https://dl.twrp.me/gts6l (americas))
-> Official TWRP tool (Play Store)
-> Samsung drivers (https://developer.samsung.com/android-usb-driver)
-> Latest Version of Odin (https://odindownload.com/SamsungOdin)
-> SD Card or Minimal ADB and Fastboot (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-minimal-adb-and-fastboot-2-9-18.2317790)
(If SD card)
Copy Magisk, AP file from the firmware zip, Disable_dm zip and TWRP img into the SD card, else, you will have to use adb sideload
0. Create a backup of all your data (we are going to wipe the data of the tablet)
(Tablet)
1. Activate developer settings (go to Settings->About Tablet->Software information, and tap 5 times on build number).
2. Go into developer settings and activate OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
3. Turn off the tablet and turn it back on pressing Power + Vol. Down buttons to enter Device Unlock Mode.
4. Press and hold Vol. Up and in the next menu, press Vol. Up to unlock the bootloader (attention, this will erase all of your data)
5. Run through the setup, but be sure to activate the internet (this will prevent the tablet from relocking).
6. Activate developer settings again, and go into it to check that OEM unlocking is greyed out.
7. Install Magisk
(PC)
8. (No SD) Copy the AP file to the Tablet.
(Tablet)
9. Go into Magisk, press Install->Patch a file->Recovery mode (on)->Select file (The AP file).
10. Copy the patched file back into your computer.
11. Shut down the tablet.
12. Press Vol. Up + Vol. Down and connect the tablet to your computer with a USB to enter download mode.
(PC)
13. Open Odin, it should show that your device is connected.
14. Go to the settings tab and uncheck the Auto-Reboot option.
15. Flash all the files of the latest firmware, using CSC (not HOME_CSC) but substituting the AP file with the patched one. (With the WiFi version, you might not have a CP file, don't worry)
CRITICAL STEP (if not followed correctly, may lead to bootloop)
(Tablet)
16. Once the flashing is complete, press Vol. Down + Power during 7 seconds to restart the tablet. As soon as the screen blacks out, swap to Vol. Up + Power (and keep pressing even though it asks to press power) to enter the recovery.
17. In the recovery, navigate to Wipe data/factory reset with the volume buttons and press power button to select. Confirm and reboot.
18. While rebooting, you need to press Vol. Up + Power during 3 seconds (Until the press power to continue appears). This is due to Magisk being installed in the recovery partition.
19. Run through the setup again, but this time you need to login into your google account to enter the Play Store.
20. You should have the Magisk app installed. Open it and it will configure itself.
21. When it reboots, press again Vol. Up + Power for 3 sec.
22. Download the Official TWRP app.
(PC)
23. (No SD) Copy the latest TWRP image previously downloaded into the tablet.
(Tablet)
24. Go into the TWRP app and give it root permissions.
25. Enter TWRP flash and select the latest TWRP img
26. Go into the reboot menu and select reboot recovery.
27. The phone will reboot into TWRP.
28. Tick don't show this message again and slide to allow modifications.
29. Wipe -> Wipe data, Cache and Dalvik and Format data.
