Hi everybody,
i'm looking for a smartband whose bluetooth is disabled. I'm talking about IT'S bt, not the one of smartphone i'll pair with.
atm, I only found the Samsung Gear Fit (it has a settings menu about bt where u can turn it on and off as u want)
Do u know other smartbands with this features? (with display if possible)
Thank you so much

Hi - I have two phones (XDAII & Nokia 610a) & a bluetrek G2 bluetooth headset. Both will pair individually with headset - but I cannot get the headset to switch between the 2 without turning one off. Indeed it seems that for whatever reason the Nokia takes priorty - i.e when the Nokia can see it the XDA doesn't?? Has anybody had a similar problem (& ideally found a fix?)
:?
If I recall correctly the Bluetrek G2 can be paired with two bluetooth phones. But the order in which they are paired is important. Because Bluetrek assign them a primary and ... status (read the manual).
In this case the primay will be mounted allways as first at avail of the primary paired device.
So it makes sense that you'eve to turn off the primary device to make a connection to the other one.

Mark
hello all.
I am looking for an app that will allow me to easily toggle between 2 or more BT devices. Here's the deal, i have 2 BT devices, one that is a headset with a2dp and another that is for my PC VOIP but also can switch to my 8525... what i want to be able to do is quickly and easily change which BT device is the primary on my cell... is there anything like this available?
thanks!
does anyone have any program that will do this?
Batterystatus using the bluetooth tray icon has a a2dp switch. Dunno if that helps you. Works for me.
i don't need a a2dp switcher... i have multiple headsets that i use regularly and just want to be able to click to activate device 1, then 6 hours later, when the device is dead, activate device 2... any thoughts?
Maybe a mortscript?

I am planning to buy the Smartwatch, however there is one thing I am not sure of. Can I connect my phone to the Ford Sync (with phone capabilities) and the SmartWatch at the same time? I checked numerous forums, but couldnt find the info I needed. Anyone?
how does ford sync connect to phones? bluetooth? smartwatch.. bluetooth!
question is... how many bluetooth devices can you connect to an sgs3 (or any phone)

You can have multiple bluetooth devices connected at once but they cannot use the same profiles.
For instance, you can connect to a stereo a2dp profile on one bluetooth device and a phone profile on another device simultaneously.
I connect to 3 devices at once, a stereo bluetooth dongle in the car, a headset, and an OBDII Elm327 diagnostic vehicle scanner.
In your case, if you want to connect to both, you need to uncheck the "Call audio" in the settings for that specific device. Make sure only "Media audio is connected". Next, for your headset, if it only supports "Call audio" i.e. the phone profile, then your done and you don't need to do anything. If your headset is a newer one that supports media audio, you'll need to go to the settings and do just the opposite you did for the car media bluetooth and deselect "Media audio" leaving only "Call audio" checked.

that should answer your question
Thanks for your reply... I had actually searched and figured out the limitation. I know iOS allows multiple Bluetooth notifications and I was wondering if there is a hack or something for Android as well. I would like the phone profile available on the watch and on while I am on the car. It is really inconvenient to switch on/off the profiles depending on where I am.. Manually.

You can use a tool like tasker to set on/off any device basedon on your location. Also can use it to set any profile to your devices.
I didn't need to do anything!
Both worked together! I am glad!

So, I bought this watch yesterday with hope it will make my life easier while driving with car .. but it didn't..
It lacks only few I believe easily to create app/options
1. to answer on call, but phone speaker automatically turns ON
2. talking is happening via watches microphone (like BT MIC)
3. (not that important maybe) but some options to auto activate this. maybe by checking speed, some known BT devices in vicinity (since there is a lot of BT devices atleast in my car like OBD link and FM transmitter) probably better when detecting these options, to ask for enabling this..
I think .. at least for me this would be game changing. this is the option what is most needed for me.
will donate 5 Eur (paypal) to whoever makes this
still no possible solution for this ?
oh well..
Hello,
I am used to have my bluetooth earpiece connected all the time. WIth all my other phones was not a problem since the bluetooth in the phone was Hiding my phone!
This Nokia 8 does not. If bluetooth is turned on then you are visible and available for attack.
I would like to know if there is anything that can be done to make the Nokia 8 NOT discoverable while bluetooth is on.
I checked in the Delveloper options but not even there is that option (unless I did not see it).
Kindly help...

I suppose Bluetooth is discoverable only when you are in the Bluetooth settings page. Once you close it, you're no longer visible for pairing. And it's how it is on Android (at least pure Android), not just on this phone.
Wow and thanks for that info. You suppose correctly, just tried that. The phone is actually NOT discoverable unless the bluetooth page is opened.
Very good to know.
