Omnia II Sound Issue

I posted this on the Verizon forums and it was suggested that I also post here looking for an answer so here it goes.
My phone will randomly turn sound off. According to all sound profiles my sound is on and it should make noise when ringing or text messages come in. The problem is that the sounds will randomly turn off but not necessarily all of them. I may receive text notifications and not rings or vice versa or I may not receive either. Then randomly they will come back and I will receive all the sound notifications.
I recently had my phone replaced and once I got the new one it began doing the same thing. I just can't believe that it is a coincidence that I would get two phones (both brand new) that would do the same thing. In an effort to fix it I updated my firmware on my old phone and everything but did not help.
I love this phone and I don't want to get rid of it and I don't want to go back to the Verizon store if there is a fix for it.
Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.
Hi,
I also have an Omnia II. And I do not have those issues. But what I do know is that there is an option that if you flip your phone (with the screen facing ground) the sound will shut off if someone is calling. Like if you are in a meeting and someone is calling, you just turn your phone and the sounds is then silenced.
You can find these this setting in Start>Settings>Basic settings>Motion setting
(could be other names as I use a Dutch windows)

This is the most likely problem. They set it up so that, even if the phone is tiled just slightly downward, the sound will be turned off. They really should have made it a more direct-downward position. If you turn that off and still have problems then check to make sure you're not activating a silent mode with the volume-down rocker on the side of the phone. Holding the rocker down for a few seconds will put the phone into either vibrate or silent. Hope you get it figured out!

Ringer Volume gets muffled automatically after 5 0r 10 sec

Hey guys,
im facing a weird behaviour these days with my new HTC legend.
my ringer volume gets muffled automatically after 5 or 10 sec on getting a call. I have already disabled "quiet ring on pick up" feature. Then also this problem is coming up.
I have googled this n come to know that i am not the only one. Some folks have found a workaround that if they choose "WCDMA only" network in network settings then this problem is not there.
But I dont have 3G connectivity in my area. What should i do?
I have note down the logs just after this problem. It shows some errors:--
W/CallNotifier(144)
CallerInfo query took too long, manually starting ringer
CallerInfo query took too long, falling back to default ringtone
E/jBtlAgHandler(144)
"JBtlAG context is disabled"
E/BT HS/HF(144)
mjBtlAgHandler.sendRing() failed
Please let me know if someone knows what this means. There is no meaning of talking to HTC customer care guys as they ll give me some lame ideas and excuses.
Please help me.

[Q] Moto G (3G) plays ringtone when powering down

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me.
My sister has a Moto G 3G version, which is completely stock; no root, no mods, etc. When she turns it off, it plays a ringtone, instead of just a silent power down. My partner and I have the same phone, but we cannot replicate the problem, with a view to solving it. My partner and I are technically minded, but my sister is not. I don't have physical access to her phone to try different options, as we live in different parts of the UK. I can pass on information to her to test things. Can someone suggest a way to stop it ringing when it's switched off, and a reason why this may be happening, please? She doesn't want to silence the whole phone; she just wants to stop it ringing when it switches off. I would be grateful for any suggestions you can offer.

My phone doesn't vibrate/ring

Hello everyone,
During the last few days i've been having issues with my phone (LG G4c). At random times the vibration didn't work at all, most of the day i have it on silent cause i spent many hours in university (classes) and library. As you might figured i missed a lot of phone calls / messages due to this issue. So when i finally had some time to take it for service they told me that their is nothing wrong with the vibration itself as hardware and i should reset it to factory settings and that should fix it.
However, when i did that, not only the vibration didn't fix itself but now i don't hear it ringing at all!
All volume settings are maxed out, even music player doesn't work any more, but when i answer a call i can hear the caller speaking.
I was searching on google, on how to hard reset my phone but i only found the button combination for factory reset which doesn't help me at all.
If anyone has any ideas or has experienced something similar please reply. I apologize for my bad English.
Thanks in advance

Facedown – no ring tone, and auto answer

The title pretty much says it. If my phone is facedown there is no ring tone, and auto answers and I never know the call even came in. I assume it is a setting about silence phone by putting facedown, but it shouldn't auto answer. But I can't even find that setting. Anyone have any suggestions?
check you do not disturb settings.
the settings you are looking for are under settings\smart\assistance\voice control
Thanx for the suggestion, but that's not it. It is scheduled for specific hours, and I tested...holding the phone it rings, face down on the counter it doesn't, and it auto answers.
I would swear I saw and turned on a setting to quiet the phone be placing face down. But I didn't expect it to answer. But I can't find that setting now.
Settings > smart assist > movement control....or something like that...translated from dutch....sorry...
Thanks.
This is crazy. I just checked there again, and it's not there.
I notice on my Note 4 that there is a turn device over to mute. Maybe I am thinking of that.
That leaves me wondering why this phone will not ring when is facedown , and also auto answers. So phone call comes in, the phone answers it, and I have no way of knowing that the phone call even came in. Again, that is if it's facedown on the desk .
settings/motion control, at least on my mate 9 pro..
I can say that there is definitely NO setting there0 regarding any thing to do with silencing my phone by putting the phone face down. But...When I first got the phone the firmware was 138, and I did a lot of the configuration on 138. It has since upgraded to 9183. Maybe that setting is now gone.
One thing olI did try:.under Smart Assistance, I had Smart Assistance, motion, lift to ear to answer turned on. So I thought maybe being face down was making that setting answer. I turned it off, and that did not fix it.
I'm on hold right now with Huwaei tech support.
Well, guess what. The reason turning off Raise Tho Ear didn't fix the problem is because it is there in 2 places. I turned off one but not the other. Three 2 places are:
Smart Assistance/Motion Control/Resist To Ear
Advanced Settings/Accessibility/Resist To Ear To Answer

Dear ewingr,
I am having the similar issue on my Made 10 pro. Communicated with Huawei Tech Sopprts many times and followed to their many recommendations. I even reset my phone to the factory original configuration but the problem is still there. The problem is when the phone is in the pocket, in-coming calls would automatically pickup without me even know it since it is never ring or vibrate. I did all I could, some guys recommeded to never put the phone in the pocket....common guys please be relistic, the phone almost always reside in the pocket that why we call it a mobile phone.
Any body please help!!
