Every time i plug in my heaphones that have no controlls connected to it, my phone reads them as if they did have controlls. When i move the wire a little, iether the track skips or pauses and sometimes google voice commands opens. Is there a fix for this problem. I tried an app that forces the phone to think that is a regular headphone plug but that had no effect other than the speakers didnt work. Please let me know if there are other ways to fix the proble?
I have the ATT version(D850).

I tried search but didn't find anything..
anyways, this happens after upgrading to WM6.1.. if i plug in my 2.5mm headset and use it to listen to music or talk, after i remove the headset, my phone would not switch back to regular speaker, the only way i can hear ANYTHING from my phone is plugging the jack back in. anyone know the reason why?
i've change the profile settings to normal, automatic, .. all of them, but it doesn't fix. i reboot, and it's the same.
try to connect your headset and turn it in other ways.....left and right....then disconnect it and reboot device....once I've such problem the reason was the bad headset!! sorry for my bad English
Hello,
I am looking for a music remote control to use while driving, so I don't have to reach for my phone to change music track.
Right now I am learning toward buying one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Dog-T...ccessories&hash=item3a72fd0822#ht_5127wt_1270
With these, you are supposed to plug your headphones into that dogtag. My question is, if you don't plug your headphones into the dogtag, but instead plug the headphones into the phone itself, will the music come through the phone itself? If it doesn't then it defeats the purpose//

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but it sounds like you're missing the point.
You pair that device with your phone, and audio will be sent from your phone to it via bluetooth. You then connect the "dogtag" to your car's head unit's aux-in. You can then control the audio via the buttons on the dogtag.
edit: oh I see what you mean. You want to use the dogtag solely for control and still connect the headunit directly to the phone? I haven't fiddled with BT audio in a long time, so I'm not sure if you can deselect the audio profile and just use control. If not, sound will be routed over bluetooth.
You could look into a headunit with bluetooth support as well.
i have that same headset, which is originally desigend by jabra as BT3030. didn't use it anymore but just checked what you are trying to find out.
1. when the headset is not connected to telephone media you are not able to use the dogtag to control the player.
2. if the dogtatg is connected to telephone media your are able to control the player but the headphone out of the phone is muted.
so it does not work the way u want it to. sry mate
But I'm not exactly sure why you'd want to plug the phone into the car and use the remote by itself.
Plug the remote into the car and it becomes more or less a fixed item.
You'll be able to do everything just the same, except that there's a wire or two connecting to the remote.
You'll be able to leave the phone in your pocket. Depending on the design of that BT player, if it switches on and resumes playback when there is USB power, it'd be pretty much a completely automated solution. Turn the car on, USB power is supplied, it pairs with your phone in your pocket, and playback resumes.
I'm not sure if this is a 1+1 issue, or an issue with these particular apps but.....
Whenever I insert my car's 3.5mm jack I get a few issues:
1. I get a message that says "Headphones disconnected"???
2. Playback on my favorite audio apps stops. Google Play music/Umanno.
3. If I receive a call while the jack is connected, then disconnect to answer the call, speaker phone becomes enabled??
The only way to get playback restarted is to kill the apps, start another app that has sound, then restart the apps.
On the surface it seems like an issue with the apps. But it's also effecting the phone?? Anyone else experience this?

About same here. No audio out of my headphones at all. My OPO sound will still come out of the main speakers, or sometimes inserting the jack will stop the music all together.

ViperAudio may help too.
I've tried posting something similar to this without any responses, so please don't bump this thread.
I need to see if anyone has this problem. My n4 did not have this issue.
Shouldn't the 3.5mm line out take precedence over a Bluetooth headset? When I have my bt headset turned on and connected, sometimes I want to play something at home or in my car that requires the line out. Once I plug the 3.5mm jack into the phone, the music starts playing in the cars aux radio even with Bluetooth on. I can be listening to music in my headset but once that cable is plugged in, it auto switches to line out.
The problem is that after anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 minutes, the music will re route back to the headset taking over the line out while line out was still playing.
Sometimes I will reconnect the 3.5 cable and it will re route to that but like I said it will eventually route back to the bt headset, so the music stops playing in the car radio, but I'll pick up my bt headset and hear it routed back to that again. Driving me crazy!!
Can anyone please replicate this? It doesn't need to be the line out going to another receiver, so u can even try plugging in headphones but make sure you are paired to an a2dp Bluetooth headset first. Within a few minutes, as long as there isn't anything wrong with my phone, you should get the same problem.
So what I've been doing is turning off the bt on my headset while using line out but it's annoying when I get another call because I have to quickly turn on the headset, wait for it to connect, and then answer the call. Like I said the nexus 4 did not have this problem.
Please help.

connect to the car...
I know the trick about turning off media for the car device etc...but it still constantly clicks likes it wants to connect. Also the headphones will randomly stop playing because it is confused... and god forbid i get out and run an errand and back in the car...all out of whack...
Its frustrating...so is there a way to turn off auto connect so when i want to have car bluetooth i can and when i want headphone bluetooth in the car i can....
thanks.
