[Q] PAC ROM Version? - General Questions and Answers

i recently flashed the RC 3 build of the latest PAC ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE.
Though most basics are pretty clear to me, i dont understand what is the major difference between the RC build and the DEV build is.
I know nightlies are the least stable and frquently updated.
RC stands for release candidate and is the most stable.
But what is DEV build?
Thanks in advance!

Is CM7.2 last nightly more stable than 7.2 stable release

Hi there,
I'm tired of CM9 low memory/stability/battery life, i wanna go back to 7.2 on my galaxy S mtd
Because last nightly from 7.2 branch is pretty new (august 2012), can i consider it more stable than 7.2 old stable release ?
Also, should i revert back my radio (witch is cm9 compattible) to an old one (back to the cm7 old times ) ?
thank you very much!
In my experience, on the HTC Evo 4G, the latest nightly build was a bit more stable. That being said, I never had problems with the latest "stable release" either. Try them both and see which works best on your phone.

[Q] CM 10 nightlies replaced by CM10.1?

Hi Guys,
I was trying to get the older CM10 nightlies before CM 10.1 started to replace them at get.cm for the Verizon SGS3. Does anybody know where do I go because the website get.cm for d2vzw does not have any later CM10 nightlies for this month like 12/7 or later. They just have the CM10.1 which still has so many bugs and the stable version of CM10 is also having issues for me.
Anyone can supply the other nightlies other than the stable version?
Thank you.

[Q] Question about switching from CM 10.1.3 to Pac Rom

Im thinking of switching from CM10.1.3 to Pac Rom, but i had a couple quick questions first.
Im currently running the stable release of CM10.1.3, and i wanted to switch to Pac Rom, but there are 2 versions available from Pac. The first is pac_d2vzw-22.2.0-rc1.zip and the other is pac_d2vzw-milestone.1.RC1.zip. The release date for milestone 1 is after RC1, so i should use that one as it would be more stable, right?
Also, the current kernel i have on my phone is listed as follows:
3.4.53-cyanogenmod-g93e5fff
Is this kernel fine to use for Pac, or should i consider something different?
Thanks!

CyanogenMod

Hey guys, just wondering if there is any chance of CM10.2 (Android 4.3 based) being ported over to the Nexus 5? I seem to remember reading that the CM team were going to concentrate on getting a stable 10.2 release before they start working on a new version based on 4.4 so we might be waiting a while for CM10.3 or whatever comes next.
Anyone have more info?

As far as I know they are working on a stable release for the phones that are already running 10.2
I am pretty sure that they will go straight to Kit Kat with CM11. It has already been pushed to github so it is only a matter of time until it is released.

(Wait Continues)CyanogenMod 12/L For Galaxy S3 GT-I9300

Hello everybody,
I was wondering, when will CyanogenMod 12 comes out? Will they still support all of the devices they have been supporting? Or at least, in specific, our device?
This is very exciting if/when we get this on our device. I personally will just wait on a CM as stock never really does it for me.
I know I probably shouldn't bring this up, but I can't wait to blow my friend's new iOS 8. 1 update out of the water with CM12/L.
Share your thoughts and views on the next version of CM.
First offical nightlies in december first, first snapshots will be in january.Already we have unoffical cm12 builds.

Well, Nameless ROM have burnt CM12 in ashes. According to my experience, Nameless ROM 5.0.2 is way more stable than CM12. It can be used as a daily driver.
