I cannot root my Asus TF300TL although it is unlocked. I have tried both Motochopper as SRSRoot but both comes up with a failure. Motochopper tries to install Supersu, but when I opens it it says that no binary is installed. I have the new launcher for Jelly Bean 4.2. I have Jelly Bean 4.2.1, kernel 3.1.10-gee4edfb, version JOP40D.ww_epad-10.6.2.10-20130918.
Please review, [JB ROOT] motochopper works! (Root JB 4.1.1 & 4.2.1 with locked bootloader!)
You'd see that the method does work. You can post on that thread if you still have questions.

can some one please tell me what i need to do to get jelly bean on my asus transformer tf300t, i have restored to manufacture default and not getting any updates.
My tab is originally in 4.0.4 with root.
Then, I flashed the official firmware of 4.1.1 via ODIN to my tab.
I think the official 4.1.1 is not that smooth.
It is safe for me to upgrade with existing root?? Do I need to flash again??
Also, how to root the 4.1.1??
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
My xperia s got the official Sony update to jb 4.1.2 and (ofcourse) I lost the root.
Is there any way to root my device again?
Bootloader cannot be unlocked!
Tried Bin4ry v30, but no result!
Can I flash from jb 4.1.2 to jb-prerooted? (bootloader cannot be unlocked)
Can I downgrade to ics and than upgrade to jb-prerooted?
Hope somebody has a suggestion/answer.
Thanks

How do you have 4.2.1 when sony never released it
Sorry, must be jb 4.1.2 (6.2.B.0.200)
OK, this is what I did.....
1 Use Flashtool to downgrade to ICS
2 Install RecoverX (FIXED) for ICS
3 Copy JB Prerooted to sd-card (don't unzip!!)
4 Reboot in recovery and install JB-Prerooted
5 Have fun!!
Thanks to everyone who made this possible.......:good:
Hello XDA, i own an Alcatel c1 (AT&T) that is currently running 4.4.2 KitKat from an OTA update. This phone comes stock on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and it apparently can be rooted with kingo easily on Jelly Bean. I am quite experienced with root and even I am having trouble rooting this phone, I have tried countless rooting apps, and rooting software on my computer to root this but no avail. If anyone has successfully rooted this phone running 4.4.2 or has any ideas please tell us! I'm up to try ideas too.
