What is diference betwen adaptive backlight and auto brightness ?
Adaptive is like a range of brightness that you set your self. It will go+/- from what ever you set it as. Auto brightness has a range already pre programmed in .

Hi,
Anyone know how I can up the brightness 1 or 2 notches from the default Auto Adjust Backlight settings?
Basically I love the light sensor i.e. auto backlight adjustment feature but in a normal room I would like the backlight up 1 notch from the brightness based on my ambient light.
I can switch off the auto adjustment but when I go out into the bright sunlight, I can't read a single thing on screen until I go and max out the backlight manually.
Hope some one can "shed some light" on this! ;-) hahaha.
Is there any way to decrease the brightness of always on display?
Just cant see it in a settings.
Any thoughts?
I haven't noticed a setting but I have noticed that the brightness does seem to change based on lighting conditions so I feel like it's got a default auto brightness setting. It does seem somewhat slow to adjust sometimes though.
The screen should refresh every minute, so i think the interval for auto brightness is the same
Hi everyone. Is there a way to trick the brightness sensor so that we can get the extra brightness /contrast under the adaptive display mode? I imagine it like a brightness sensor calibration under strong light! so every time one uses the auto brightness it would scale immediately to the max+ brightness .
Anyone thinks it is possible?
Thanks
So i would like to use screen Auto brightness but it sets the screen too dark or some times keeps hunting for a level ...
Any place to adjust the sensitivity of the auto brightness itself?
Right now i just turn the auto brightness off and set the screen brightness level manually

Agreed, I do the same as you. I always found that these auto-brightness functions don't work worth a squat. I don't know who is in charge of designing the sensitivity settings for it but they really don't work that well. So I always leave it on manual brightness setting and set it to my liking.
How do you usually set your brightness?
