I have unlocked boot loader, but when I flash twrp through command prompt it works that one time I boot into recovery from boot loader but afterwards it reverts back to stock recovery. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks! So what you suggest is to flash 2.8.1.0 flash the new beta of superuser, then flash the new version through flashify?

Thats what did it for me
If you delete /system/etc/recovery-from-boot.bak (or similar) the recovery should stick also when flashing via fastboot and using TWRP 2.8.1.0

Usually might have to reboot recovery in TWRP before flashing. Normally with Catalyst that is what it requires me to do and all works fine.

In twrp from the home screen select reboot and then select recovery. This should reboot into recovery. Then try flash. What file are trying to flash?

First, restore back to stock, using any toolkit in development section
Then use that toolkit to install the recovery + superSU
Then download & install rom manager
Are you sure you do it right?
go to fastboot mode, then type
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
Besides, the latest twrp.img is 12.9 MB.

Were you careless with your fastboot commands? Did you flash a kernel/ something else to your recovery partition while you were flashing multiple files at once? I ask becasue I was updating my kernel this morning and noobed up. I flashed my recovery with my kernel.:victory:
I flashed miui ROM coming from purity to test it, but now I'm not able to restore my backup because I can't access to cwm.. On the bootloader page it says that now my bootloader is locked.. Why? And what I have to do now?

Watching better I saw that my BL is unlocked still.. So I guess that I just have to reflash cwm @adb right ?

if you go to the android laying on its back, that's the stock recovery. all you have to do is flash a custom recovery, i recommend the twrp recovery, not cwm.
I'll second the recommendation for installing TWRP instead of CWM. It's a much nicer interface overall.
Are you rooted? If so you could install BootLoader from Play, press unlock, and then flash a custom recovery to restore your backup.
Use an app called "Flashify" to flash either recoveries mentioned. Super easy

Hi guys.
I installed via flashfi the TWRP on my nexus with android 5, original rom. My bootloader is unlocked.
However, when trying to enter the recovery mode, appears the initial screen of TWRP and simply back into the system. What might be happening? Its fix it? And is to return to the default recovery?
Regards,
I flashed 2.8.1 using fastboot... Try fastboot and see if it works

Use 2.8.1.0
Fastboot.
Fastboot with a PC, flashify directly on device, zip file in recovery, terminal emulator+IMG file...pick one.
#stayparanoid
You can also use the TWRP app from the Play Store, which is probably the easiest way.
So how can i flash my updated version? I downloaded the version on my phone its in my downloads. I boot into recovery go to flash and it does not recognize the img.

You need a zip file to flash in recovery. Use the flahify app if you want to flash the.img file or flash it in fastboot
