Which is the best software to create partition of MIcroSD Card to use it with Link2SD. I tried Mini Tools Partition Wizard but it messed up my sd card. After creating the partition, my laptop could not detect SD Card. It took me a lot of time to fix it. Please suggest some good software for Windows 7.

Hi,
I have a 16GB Micro SD card that I want to create a 1GB exts partition on.
I have the free versions of Paragon and Acronis, but it would seem I need the full version to create a partition on an SD card?
I therefore got minitools partition manager and I was able to create a partition, but it is unallocated and it's status is NONE.
The FAT32 partition is Primary and the unallocated one is logical.
If I click on this partition almost everything is grayed out so I cannot format to ext2.
Please help.
I am running this on a cheap card reader from ebay on Windows XP.

Ext2 obviously
If it helps the card has a 4 on it, so does that mean it's class 4?
I think I'm a bit dumb !!!
I'd resized the partition only, so it was simply unallocated.
Are there any free partition software downloads that allow me to create a partition please?
It is MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition from partitionwizard.com

I did, I think I used ROM Manager in the end.
It didn't work to begin with, I played with the Partition software above, then I went back to ROM Manager and it worked.

I got class 4 4gb memory card and has used minitool partition wizard to create 3.5gb fat32 partition and 500mb ext2 partition. but when i connected to my SE x10mini and it says 'damaged memory card'. but then i format the memory card via my phone and the ext2 partition has been erase. may i know any suggestion to create 2 partition and make the phone able to recognise the memory card??
one more question, may i know what is the next step to make ext2 partition to be apart of system's space??
I`ve managed to make two partitions using Gparted (win).
Hi,
I have tried to partition my 8gb sd card using minitool partition free home edition on my pc. Using a card reader I backed up the contents of the micro sd card on my computer. My samsung galaxy ace is rooted.
I have had no problem creating FAT32 partition (left about 1gb for ext2 partition). However, when I go to create ext2, I am getting this message: "The new created partition cannot be used in windows.Because Windows could only recognize the first partition on a removable disk". Please tell me what's gone wrong.
Thank you,
Regards,
Hector
Nothing has gone wrong and you really should search and read before asking questions.
The message tells you EXACTLY what it needs to, Windows can only recognise the first partition on a removable card - so what's the problem?
Hey Guys,
My Phone is a Nexus S with CM-11-20141008-SNAPSHOT-M11-crespo. + CWM Recovery.
Today i have tried to partition my internal sd card, (the nexus s have only the internal sd Card), because i wanted to install the Link2SD app which need a ext4 partition to link the programfiles.
What i Did:
1. Connet the Phone via USB to Computer
2. Mount sd Card
3. Run Minitool Partition Wizard on Windows
4. Delete the Partition on the SD Card
5. Create a Partition, 13GB, Primary, FAT32 for media files
6. Create a Partition 1 GB, Primary ext4, for the programfiles.
7. Restarted the Phone
The Phone is still working, but i dont see the SD Card anymore on my Andorid device. I have also tried to Mount the sd card in the CWM. I tried to do a factory reset and checked the box "format sd card)
Did not work
Can you please help me? How could i restore the lost party of my internal sd card?
Thanks,
Magor

You have put your self in a major mess. You should have partitioned the SD card using CWM. Now you can try to partition SD card using CWM just forget the 1Gb partion that you lost.
I followed every tutorial available on the website. but it still doesnt work for my SD card.
After I tried to do the partition, it actually does split the storage. However, the Ext2 suppose-to-be part kept showing "(other)" on the file system.
I tried to use another laptop and still dun work.
My microSD is a Samsung MicroSDHC 32GB EVO Memory Card (MB-MP32D)
It spent me a whole day!
Hi there,
Please read carefully this guides:
[GUIDE] [FAT32] [EXT2] [2.3+] How to Partition your Android MicroSD Card
[Guide] partition and link2sd [pictures included for each step]
Good luck
Hello,
I have a problem with Link2SD which I hope someone knows an answer for. My setup looks like this:
Hardware
Galaxy A3 (2017) - SM-A320FL
SanDisk Ultra MicroSD (64 GB)
Software:
Android 8.0.0 (A320FLXXS3CRK1)
Newest TWRP for my phone
Newest Magisk
Universal Init.d Injector v2.2 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/mod-universal-init-d-injector-wip-t3692105)
How I setup the partitions of the microSD
First Partition as FAT32 (Primary) with a drive letter assigned. Second Partition ext4 (also Primary) without a drive letter. MiniTool Partition Wizard was used for this process.
Also tried a few variations of the above like making the second partition ext2 or setting the first partition to active but in the end it all made no difference
Now the strange part ....
The partitions are properly detected when I connect the microSD to the PC using a card reader.
The first partition is also detected as external memory by android and I can use it like every other SD with one partition
Link2SD is also able to detect the second partition, mount it at start and link apps to it
The problem is that my PC wont detect the sd card when I connect the phone to it. When I reformat the SD back to one partition the SD card is detected without a problem (explorer showing the internal memory aswell the external memory)
[*]Sometimes the card is also shown as not detected in the default samsung file explorer even tho the apps moved to the sdCard are stil working
Does anyone have a clue what is happening here or what I am doing wrong?
Dear user
I am having the same troubles with my a320fl when attempting to use 64gb sd card partitioned with fat32 and ext2/ex4.
Once I enter the card in the phone and restart it doesn't register on the phone.
I hope someone else can help us!
I have the same problem, also with a 64GB Samsung Evo, could this be an A3 issue?
