I've seen varying numbers here, so I'm just wondering how much the OnePlus One actually costs in the UK.

From oneplus its £229 for the 16GB version and £269 for the 64GB model. There's a few pound for postage also, can't remember how much.
You can buy without an invite from online companies like oppomart, coolicool, aliexpress, etc. They're usually a bit cheaper but obviously take longer to get here.
I'm stuck between this phone and the Ascend Mate 7 gahh lol

Looks a nice phone too, usual pros and cons for both. Although for customisation and price I think the opo is hard to beat at the moment. I've got a nexus 5 but keep considering a opo, particularly for the battery and better camera. But will probably hold out to next year to see what opo release next. It would be nice to just buy directly from them with no messing about, but maybe that will change.
Below are another couple of great value devices also worth a look.

Your prices are spot-on, the delivery charges are £5.99 for standard and £9.99 for express. Note that it takes OPO 3 working days to process your order...
Also note that buying from APAC usually involves the buyer being liable for import taxes and VAT... which makes the phone F. expensive. And takes ages....

I did google this. The only info I found was before the note 7 was released which I was originally gonna go with the note 7 sadly it had to blow up. Lol but I'm just curious if I buy a note 5 now would it be sufficient enough until the note 8 releases?
It'd really depend on the price you find. It's a good phone, but nothing I've been overly in love with. I'm actually looking to ditch this and Verizon to grab the OnePlus 3T. Not totally decided yet
On swappa I can buy one between 300 and 350 in mint cond.

What size? I have mine on a payment plan on Verizon at $792. It's the 64gb version. As long as it's a good bit under retail it might be worth it. Biggest thing is about to you find the drawbacks worth it?

The problem is the battery. It was always underpowered to begin with then add to that Marshmallow and now the batteries are over 1 year old. You may find yourself needing to replace the battery.
The S8 and S8+ will be released soon. I bet Verizon is going to have good deals at launch. I would not plunk down even $300 for this phone now since the battery is likely take a hit from use and it is not easily replaced. But then again, you may be able to trade in the Note 5 for at least $300 toward the S8/S8+ so maybe it would be fine.
Hey, i am currently discussing with myself if OnePlus 6 is still a worth buy in 2019? Going to buy it from Gearbest. (Have bought there before)
Want your guys opinions!! If you are going to say no, please write why.

Just sold mine(8/256) on Swappa for, I thing , very reasonable price - my backup is moto X4 and now I have a clear view on what's coming up for 2019.
Depends on your budget and if your patient. Personally at this point I would wait for the 7. But personally I still love my 6. Seems to get better with time
I don't see why not. Manufacturers aren't making huge advances these days in mobile tech as far as performance. It's all about gadget features now. Well start seeing cool folding tech this year, but I don't well see anything at all that is going to severely out perform what we have. I won't go and pay big bucks any time soon for anything else unless it's foldable.

Definitely, OP6 is a great phone. I realized that I could still describe my phone's condition as "mint", no blemishes whatsoever and so it went.
As for OP7, it could be another big hit for OP and not just because of the new 855 SoC, but it might also have a new UFS 3.0 storage as the rumor goes:
https://bgr.com/2019/01/07/oneplus-7-vs-galaxy-s10-speed-ufs-3-0-benchmark-leaked/
Great phone. Best phone I have ever owned. I hope to get at least two years out of it. Maybe upgrade when 5g is widespread.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
If theres a nice discount and you don't care about the headphone jack (OP7 may not have it) then it'll still be a great buy. I'm planning to use this phone until the battery dies out on me or some other kind of failure if any.
I got mine couple months ago and would buy again. Headphone jack and hardware fingerprint scanner are great to have.
Just bought one. Very good deals at the moment and like has been mentioned, 5g is on it's way.
Best phone I have had so far.
Got mine in November, no regrets at all.
Check out Gearbest, purchased it for around 360$ brand new, it came with OxygenOS out of the box, but if it doesn't, rebranding is easy as just it just requires the installation of the ROM via the system updater !
for around 400$ is a great deal. (8/128).
I'm really on the fence about ordering a OnePlus 7 Pro. I have a 512gb Note9 with an encrypted bootloader now and I'm bored out of my freaking mind.
I've been watching Swappa closely, just to see what is trending. I actually started watching Swappa for a deal on a Pixel 3XL and kinda ended up in the OnePlus 7 Pro section too. If I order a Oneplus 7 Pro I will get it direct from OnePlus just for warranty peace of mind.
But I see a disturbing trend of all the OnePlus 7 Pro's going up for sale rather quickly. Pretty common to see "only used for 2 days" or even "used once or twice" and then boxed back up promptly for resale..... WHY?
Why is everybody using this device once or twice and then immediately trying to sell if off? Got me pretty concerned about making a $782.19 purchase. It was a lot easier to stomach when a OnePlus was only $500.
Why don't you ask them? There could be many reasons. I'm very happy with mine, I would have no idea why someone else isn't.
I guess the best you can do is watch some YouTube reviews, read about common issues and concerns,I don't use swappa but maybe you could message a seller there and ask,
Id imagine people just find the phone too big, don't like the curved display, most likely something to do with the design I'd say.

I try not to spam their listing with questions when I have no intention of actually purchasing the item. I also couldn't expect them to answer candidly on the same page they are tying to recoup $700 on.
Whenever possible I follow their XDA names/links and send a PM asking. No responses so far. I did see one guy state he was selling because he was just to "entrenched in the Apple Ecosystem" but if he was going to keep an Android the OnePlus 7 Pro is "the phone to have". Then an hour later he purchased a Pixel 3XL in another listing I was also watching. :silly:
Pretty stupid on their part. They just return the phone in the first 14 days and not lose $250 from the resale cost. I have patience for stupidity.

I've been watching YouTube videos and reviews and unboxings and scouring the internet pretty much nonstop since the release. I'm not worried about ghost touches as I never use NFC. Size, weight and curved edges are all the bees knees to me. I'm an HTC Max user from way back and always buy the biggest screen available in any line.
The only real deal breaker problem I could see is if the camera produced literally unusable pictures. I take LOTS of pictures daily. They don't have to be better than the Samsung's or the Pixels (I've had both). But they do need to be worth keeping. I'm afraid the only way I will be able to answer that question is to see for myself in person ie order one.
I will say I am pretty picky about the color though. I don't really care for the Nebula Blue much but I REALLY want that 12GB ram...

Due to the number of people who have tried unlocks, etc and had issues I would be, at least, looking for photos or video of the device working before you stump over the cash but yeah, it's a great phone so watch some reviews and if you like what you see, go for it
The 12gb ram model was the one OnePlus sent out as review units/influencers/promoters. They could just be u loading. Also people buy phones without checking compatibility, maybe not for their carrier. If not on T-Mobile there's always some issue, i.e. Sprint not working at all, att not WiFi calling, Verizon cdma_less issues. Could be any number of issues but don't let that worry you. Same thing happens with every phone that is released. I personally sold my s10e after 3 days just because, there was no "I need to keep tilhis phone" feeling. My op7 pro gives me that feeling , it's one of the best phones I've ever used, and I replaced my pixel 3 xl with it.

None at all. Pixel 3xl performance is garbage. Hiccups, stuttering was terribly annoying. Only good things were camera and software day 1. I'm like those swappa sellers you're skeptical about, I change my phone monthly sometimes. In 4 years I've made 90 sales, 60 were my personal use device. The longest I've kept a phone was OnePlus 6 for 6 months. Ill never fo back to iOS, and in Android world OnePlus is my favorite. I don't use camera just for pics of the kids. I NEVER take selfies.
I ended up with the 8gb blue direct from oneplus. I wanted the 12gb but it was 14 days until shipping and couldn't wait. I got the T-Mobile gray on lau ch day but hated the software/sim lock/ single sim, but the 12gb would have gotten here after my return period was up with T-Mobile. Still no regrets, I don't think it would have bee. Any big change in performance. I'm still surprised to how many apps are still where I left them even several hours later.

Just do it. My sequence was Pixel 3XL > S10+> OnePlus 7 pro
I just gave one UI other chance as you see, but stock Android and OOS(near stock) are way better, especially together with a hardware top of the line (OnePlus 7pro).

I completely agree about the Pixel 3 XL performance, complete garbage. At the time I had the Pixel 3 XL, T-Mobile OnePlus 6t, and unlocked OnePlus 6t from OnePlus. I sold the Pixel. The only thing that phone has going for it was the camera, and like you said day one software updates, but the performance is horrible on that phone.

They only do that in the US... frustrating yeah but 15% of the most expensive phone at $750 is just $112 so I still ask, why sell it on swappa and take a $200 hit? I think you said he was selling for $500? Doesn't make much sense to me, he'd still get more money back just returning it.

Your going to have to cover either phone. They are WAY too slippery to really use naked. I used to use my phones naked (I've never dropped a phone) but I don't trust these phones sine teh OP5 and OP6 and not OP 7Pro.
I've always had black or grey phones but the blue is amazing. I agree it is so slippery being olephobic gorilla glass. I hate to cover it. It like a minimal perimeter case.
Sent from my GM1917 using Tapatalk
I got the blue one
Why not use the included case? It's a perfect fit and doesn't cover up the beautiful back or the light around the edge. I've always put a case on my phones and have never cracked or broken a phone in any way. This bad boy is slippery and I have no problem or issue using the clear case!!

I got the blue one from T-mobile, I always get blue if it's available for the phone I am interested in since it's my favorite color. I too sometimes switch phones monthly which I have the option of doing if I want since I am a Jump On Demand customer with T-Mobile and have that option. Longest I have kept a phone in the last year is almost 2.5 months.
I switched from the Note 9. 90hz screen made it a keeper for me. Camera is not bad as some ppl make it seem but of course the Note 9 camera is better. Haptic feedback is also better but still not on the same level like on the iPhone and Pixel yet. I've also bought the Nillkin Type C Wireless Charging USB C Receiver for wireless charging and Elevation Lab USB-C CordDock as a secondary even though honestly I really didn't need to purchase that as the wireless reciever works. Battery is the same as on the Note 9. The only thing I miss is one handed mode. Stock android and or Oxygen OS should really develop a one handed mode since these phones are getting larger each year.
Hey XDA,
I wanted to ask if anyone have any experience ordering phones from Aliexpress? Price there is just as in any other country except mine which charge about $200 more for the 8GB variant and sometimes even take out the Warp charger so you have to add even more.
If I do decide to purchase the phone there, what should I format? Is it the ROM? is there actually any difference if the OS is Oxygen? sorry if the question is very basic I have never tried to root or anything 'deeper'.
Thank you.

Hi All,
Sorry for not posting this earlier and i feel this deserves a thread of its own.
Recently after my buying experience on various different portals, Bestbuy, B&H, Samsung website and T-Mobile US, where most places were out of stock or taking too long to deliver ( I wanted an Ultra 512 GB version), I discovered that Microsoft offered the best buying experience. I am speaking only for Note 20 / Note 20 Ultra buying experince for other things BestBuy etc may be good.
Here is the link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/s...cked/8x2r1c53kbms?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
Or to configure directly go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sto...s&selectedColor=9A716E&preview=&previewModes=
I had ordered mine and and received it rather quickly (4 Days, due to labor day weekend) and when Samsung reduced the price they even refunded me.
Hope this helps anyone who is as impatient as me.
Enjoy.

I agree. i guess there are plenty people who exploit loopholes like send in a device and then not by anything. Trade ins rely a lot on what device you are buying. Other way people can exploit is click trade in get discount and never send the old device. There is always a way around let them choose trade in during buying process and refund after they receive the trade in device but them being them what can i say.
FYI - for Note 8 they are giving $250 back, so Note 9 and 10 must be higher than that.

I was responding to the Canadian who suggested it was a good option for us - but the Microsoft Canada site has them at full price ($1819 CDN = $1381 US) for the 128 GB N20 Ultra - whereas we can get the HK SM-N9680 (dual-SIM, 256 GB) for $1350 CDN (= $1025 US). The Microsoft site seems like a good option for you if you want the North American single-SIM 128 GB model.
I just placed an order with amazon. They have them in stock and it'll be here in 2 days. Hopefully all goes well.

Congrats on deciding to take the leap. I am sending mine back. I was noticing yellow tints so i reduced the color temperature from the display settings but today i decided to compare my Note 8 and Note 20 Ultra boy o boy that 3 year old phone has a better display. On comparison i found green tint on my Note 20 Ultra. I suggest you do the same when you receive your phone to to compare it side by side with another display. i also noticed Note 20 Ultra to lack in Sharpness and Contrast (I am sure and its not a placebo). Both the phones were on WQHD resolution and i checked them on full, mid, lowest and auto brightness.
Check yours when you get it.

Hopefully that's not with all of them. I do remember back in the galaxy 8 days there was a pink tint issue that was addressed with an update. I gave my one plus 7 pro to a coworker who's phone broke and I miss it. It's been why I was holding out on the note 20 ultra. I wanted to see what the 8T Pro was going to be but it looks like there will be no 8T Pro. If this one doesn't pan out it will definitely be back to OnePlus for the 8 Pro or 8T.
EDIT: it arrived yesterday in new unopened condition from amazon. So far it works perfectly and I can't notice any off tones in the screen. The screen looks great. I installed an LK flexible film screen protector (same as I had on oneplus 7 pro) and you can even tell it's there. Now to wait for the correct case to come in as I accidentally ordered one for the note 20 and not the ultra after sifting through the possibilities.
