Actualy I rooted my phone a while ago and everything was fine until today when it says no connection in the playstore and the other services.

Flashed to stock kitkat, now no play store

I just flashed to stock kit kat with the ODIN files, now I cant connect to the play store.
So far I have:
-tried rooting and using safe strap to install a custom rom, it loaded up fine but play store still didn't work
-Used the verizon repair tool
All google apps work and sync except hangouts.
Any help?

Currently unrooted, but towelroot is an option.

So the play store is installed? If your unrooted and there are major issues with the play store you can't do much about it. It's a system app unfortunately. I'd say if you were rooted you could remove the system app the reinstall it

Just rooted and did the uninstall and reinstall. No such luck

Looks like a nice phone but the locked bootloader is deterring me from getting it
From my Wicked S3 on SOKP
I also tried changing my build prop to say I have a d2spr instead of d2vzw, didn't work.
Got it to work, had to remove google account, remove sim and reboot. Then added google account and everything worked without the sim. Installed sim, rebooted and everything continued to work.
Fun, eh?

[Q] Problem with Galaxy SIII

Hey guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-19300 8GB running on Anroid 4.3, rooted and custom ROM Manager installed. Recently all Google Play services have stopped working. I literally can't do anything. I can' t log in, can't use Youtube, can't open the Play store because it gives me the No connection- retry error, of course. I heard it was because of Freedom. I deleted the app and tried to re-install it... but I cannot even install apk files; not any kind of apk file. I tried to force-install it with an android terminal, but that doesn't work either. Aptoide also does not want to install anything. I basically deleted the cache for every google app & I uninstalled all updates; but all in vain. Nothing seems to work except for Whatsapp and the actual internet browser. Please help me, I really need my phone to work properly.
Thanks in advance, any kind of help is appreciated

Reflash Stock ROM via Odin (you wont lost anything on internal storage) or try flash any gapps for 4.x.x via custom recovery.

Download your stock ROM. Put it in your pc and then flash it using Odin.
U may also need to flash gapps using your custom recovery.

Ok. You have got the answer in this thread
But before that just try to do a factory data reset
If you have some important data, take a nandroid backup
And then do a factory data reset
And I may be a foolish in this but I am considering it because everything may be possible here, enable the background data if it is disable

Well, okay, I guess that's my only option, I have reflashed the Stock ROM and that hasn't fixed my problem either. Factory data reset it will be. I'll come back to you whenever I have done the data reset. I really hope this'll fix the problem, because I don't want to do a factory data reset at all. :/

nexus unroots when i update

hello everyone, i have a nexus five running cyanogenmod 12.1 and 20150529-nightly-hammerhead android version 5.1.1 with TWrp v2.8.6.1
as of yesterday i had it finding the updates for nightlies everyday. and i was updating it when i would download them. and i found that everytime i would update id lose the root. i tested this the following day. rerooting with the nexus root toolkit, then updating and found i had no root. so i rerooted and havent updated again. is there a reason why it would unroot? thanks in advanced guys!!!
1) Delete the Nexus toolkit, don't ever use it again.
2) Flash the most recent nightly.
3) Go to settings ---> developer options and enable root access.
4) Optional: download SuperSU from the Play Store.
Why is nexus tool kit bad? So should I flash nightly first then enable root or enable then flash? Its giving me apps only, adb only and then allow for both. What do I choose?

For one thing, CM isn't meant to be rooted, root access is implemented via Privacy Guard, so whatever changes NRT made are erased every time you flash the ROM.
reroot...
Rerooting wasn't done with nexus tool kit. Initially yes, for the first time. I rerouted, or atleast thought I rerooted via twrp. I guess I was wrong. But either you helped me solve the issue and I really appreciate it.
I have a different one...the one that helped me figure I wasn't rooted. Google play store keeps crashing. Giving me that error "unfortunately, google play store has stopped" what could be causing this. I've rebooted, cleared cache, cleared data, force stopped and still. I've reinstalled the gapps..and still. Any ideas? Thank you such!!
Anyone????

Which Gapps package are you using? From what I gather, some Gapps packages don't play well with CM 12.1. Try this Gapps package, it's CM official.

samsung gear s3 wont work

What's up everyone. Just got a Samsung gear S3 watch but am having a hard time installing the Samsung apps I need too since my phone is rooted.
I found a modded Samsung gear app that installed but I can't get the other apps I need installed.
Can anyone help or point me in the right direction??
Bump
Mine was also rooted but everything worked fine. Try installing the apps from apkmirror.com
-however on android P the pairing doesn't work as intended, at least not from scratch

Gotcha. I thought I did cause I can watch Netflix which won't run unless you hide root.
I tried like 4 versions off of the apk site and none installed.
