Unable to find power saver mode (Not EPS) - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I have my htc one m8 on stock 4.4.4 and I am trying to find power saver mode because someone said it improved battery life but all i see when i go to power is the eps setting.

This is only possible if you are S-OFF and rooted. If you meet those requirements then proceed to the link below and follow post #1. If you want a quick toggle setting then follow post #3. They work as thats what I used to get it.

I'm not rooted, is there already a good way to s-off, root.
i'm kinda noob in this, thanks alot

Go to htcdev.com and follow the instructions to unlock your bootloader
You'll need software version 1.54 or higher tho, you can check in Menu>Settings>About Phone>Software Information
If you have a lower version than 1.54, than you need to update with this RUU:
swtesting.ro/alex/downloads/ruu_chacha_htc_asia_wwe_1.57.707.2_radio_47.23.35.3033h_7.51.35.19_release_228383_signed.zip
To update with this RUU, you'll need a goldcard:
theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-create-a-goldcard/
..then you are good to go with htcdev unlock
After that, search "everything for chacha" in the forum and you'll find instructions how to easily root your chacha I know it's long winded, but it's worth it

I found it annoying too, I uninstalled it
In the meanwhile, going into facebook chat and clicking "Menu>Go Offline" is a temporary fix until you reboot
thanks alot, i will try to unlock today.
Once unlocked ill try a simple root program. (zroot or something like that) if that doesn't work ill follow a guide for the long way.

No problem I found an easier goldcard guide here if you're interested http://droid-den.com/android-guides/android-guide-how-to-create-a-gold-card/
I just flashed superuser in clockwordmod recovery, and I had root
Rooting is dead simple, just the unlocking which takes longer to do

[Q] Help me with DL for galaxy s4g battery life

Hey I visited this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236779
I want to increase my battery performance and the directions were as followed:
If you want to use this just copy the text paste in your own build.prop then reboot.
Where is my own build.prob? Can I get guide? thanks.
Plus any other battery saving tricks?
I have screen on lowest, non moving background, wifi and 4g turned off when not using, 15 sec screen...umm.. you get the picture
You should go look at a couple of the tweak threads in the dev section. Getting amazing battery life on VB and Lightning Zap.
Would you be so kind as to find some of the threads for me or a faster way to find them rather than search through all the threads? Thanks

Here is the second thing you should read thoroughly!

Here are the tweaks:
[TWEAK] Universal Adrenaline Shotv14-1 cache scroll tweak
{UPDATE 13FEB12 v4 FINAL}[TWEAK] Lightning Zap
[CWM][SCRIPTS][TWEAKS] ThunderBolt! v2.5.1
Custom ROM recommendations:
Valhalla - BlackEdition
[ROM] icbinb 2.3.7
AOSP Style 3.3.2 | [ROM][CWM]
If you follow the directions in the first link above... you flash the custom ROM's and tweaks the same way - in CWM.
I was getting 2-3 days with VB and Lightning Zap! On MIUI I'm getting around 20 hours.

No the link I told you to use is an 'all-in-one' solution to upgrade your phone. Just READ! Very important to READ and follow the directions he provides in his post.

I tried putting into DL mode and connecting, still says dc'ed.

Step 1: Get the latest version of Java 1.6 from this link or from your linux distribution.
So have you followed the link in step one and check whether you are up-to-date with Java? You need to do that before download mode or starting heimdall one-click.
Yeah, I am going to try restarting comp because I just updated. Shrug restarts usually help.
Indeed they do.

Did you install the drivers? And you need to be careful restoring with TB.
Well I think I did. It still says dc'ed but I went to help--install--error- instructions-- couldn't follow them because my comp cannot detect my device when in DL mode--- turned phone on, went to options--show all devices-- selected mine-- downloaded drivers-- dont see any difference.

I don't understand in the thread - what do I have to do?
1, You must be rooted.
2, Install SQLite Editor from Play Store
3, Open app, wait until all apps are listed
4, Tap Internet -> webview.db -> password
5, All your passwords stored in default web browser should be listed there
I just tested it on my Desire S, and found my stored facebook password
Thanks, what is the easiest way to root my htc desire s? S-on 2.3.5 and latest hboot i think
If you are not rooted yet, it's irrelevant to root now, because you will loose all your data during downgrade and rooting.
Check my signature btw, i was also downgrading from latest RUU, S-ON, LOCKED, same as you.
But you have no reason to do it now, because as i said, you will loose your data.
Maybe temprooting and then installing the mentioned app would work.
But im not sure.
It's worth try in my oppinion. By temprooting you will not loose anything. After rebooting the phone, it will be in it's previous state, untouched...
As i said, check link in my sig.
The 1st step, but don't push misc_version, you don't need to when you are not going to downgrade.. Push just zergrush, or tacoroot, depending on your SW version.
Better wait for someone more experienced, as im still prety new here, and don't want to make brick of your phone.
Thanks - but I think I have found a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1390496 What do you think to this?
Big No No, from me.
Someone in that thread commented and said, that you have first to unlock your phone via htc-dev unlock. Unlock the phone officialy via htc site and according to their manual steps.
What does it mean to you ? You have to put your IMEI on the website, so they're absolutely sure, that you have been trying something with your phone and you loose your warranty. There's no step back.
Temprooting on the otherside, as the title say is temporary. After reboot, it's gone. In my oppinion - ideal for you. But i don't have unrooted desire s to test if SQLite will work.
---------- Post added at 07:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:10 AM ----------
Alternatively you can try this. Also picked from mentioned thread.
No rooting or anything. Just don't forget to turn USB debugging on.
1,Setup AndroidToolsSDK on your PC

I thought that you mean this as "fully rooted".
Since not just flash custom recovery and then use SuperOneClick to push Su and Superuser app, or search for a flashable zip. This will give you root.

Because with the stock you will not be able to flash the su binary. Custom recovery has root access by default, contrary to your current one and the OS itself.
You can use zergrush from the guide you posted above but this approach involves more manual steps. Anyway each if the mentioned ways will give you the same result it is up to you to decide what will be easier to do for yourself
Btw Superoneclick automates zergrush and the su flashing so search for it. I think this is the most straightforward method

Yes, sorry for the messy explanation but there are a really lot of ways to root your phone.
If you use the Superoneclick you will permanently root your device with one button click. This is an application for Windows, just search xda for it
Edit: you bootloader should be unlocked to do this, so I hope you did not relocked it

This will make a folder and copy several files (that will grant the root access) to your system. If something fails you will remain unrooted at worst

[Q] Dont know where to begin with root

It's just clicking this time. My last phone I rooted was the Bionic and that was a pain.
For the Razr, do i already have an unlocked bootloader? i believe its the xt925 but my system version is 9.18.94.xt926.Verizon.en.us.
Is the 'root for Razrhd' in the stickies still the best way to root? I'm running 4.1.2
Will the Razr HD have a dual boot like the bionic did?
What is the best rom without all the verizon bloatware?
Thank you

If by luck the 926 you have was ever inlocked you may view the status in bootloader/ap fastboot. Hold all 3 keys til screen out & keep on vol keys while you toggle power off , on & off. Vol down to scroll & vol up to select fastboot.

Yes use ss to bu/maintain your stock slot.
1st items of business is to bu your virgin sys for the KK ota as fall back for yourself.
Then xposed mods!
Don't bother with rom slots. But there is a trick to use a rom slot to flash a dst/debloated stock based rom to stock slot. See my guide.

I was hoping that rooting alone without SS would be beneficial. I didn't like having 2 OS's on the bionic and having to choose every time I rebooted, and it seemed to limit my storage space. But, I guess if i want control over the phone, that's the only way to go.
Thank you very much for helping me. I've searched but never found a straight answer.

Once you trick/restore/to the stock slot you delete the rom slot you just used as a rom holder. Also use my sd swap to let system have all internal memory.

Am I almost bricked?

I followed this guild...
http://www.androidinfotech.com/2016/10/root-htc-one-a9-marshmallow-install-twrp.html
...exactly and I currently can't get into my recovery and there isn't an option in the 'download mode' menu for recovery. I made it to the part where I type "fastboot flash recovery name.img" into the ADB and it appeared to flash fine. It said that it wrote a certain amount of data and gave no error messages.
When I boot my phone while holding the volume up button, it simpily reboots after displaying the HTC logo.
One thing I did notice while following the guild, is that my phone always had S-ON. It never said S-OFF. I did unlock it and I did turn on 'OEM unlocking' after unlocking the phone(because it got wiped while unlocking).
What are my options? Am I on the verge of bricking the phone? I know that no recovery can't be good. Any issue with my OS and I don't know what to do. This is a Boost Mobile phone. It is running Anroid 6.0.1 Did I miss a step? I tried flashing the recovery several times but it still won't boot. I also powered down the phone after flashing it and tried to go straight into the recovery but it simpily reboots. I can still use the phone though as the OS works.
That guide seems weird. You boot into recovery via Download mode -> Enter bootloader -> enter recovery. It seems to have no mention of download mode?

S-ON/S-OFF is unrelated to bootloader unlock, these are 2 different things. You can find a few threads explaining the difference over XDA.
