[Q] Quick launch without on-screen navbar. Possible? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello folks,
Is this possible at all?
Since we have the option to use either soft or hard buttons i'd like to know if I can retain quick launch but user hard buttons.
I can't live without quicklaunch (had it on my previous nexi phones to toggle sound (left) and sleep (right)) but I really like physical buttons too.
Thanks,
Cheers!

I tought that you could put is to sleep but you can't change the sound

[Q] On-Screen Replacement for home/back/menu/search keys?

Hi All.
Just got my DX last week. I am liking the DX, except for the bootloader issue and the back/home/menu/search "hard" keys. I really miss the "soft" keys on the D1. These feel a little awkward and I also worry that they will wear out or break over time.
I installed an app called "softkeys" that gives me a floating bar with on-screen back/home/menu/search buttons and I am pretty happy with that. I have also seen the soft key application that places the keys on the side of the screen and lets them slide in or out.
But I would love to find one that shifts the screen up to allow soft back/home/menu/search to always remain on the bottom of the screen and out of the way?
Is it possible? Anyone know of such an app?
Thanks,
Rob
This may or may not work for you. Use this at you own risk.

[Q] Which phones have soft buttons like N4?

Hello all, I hope this is the right place for my question.
I'm 16 years old, I'm disabled since I was born (S.M.A 2).
I'm looking to buy a Smartphone, after I found accessories that allow me to use it by myself (BT mouse and a headset - Marque 165).
The main problem now is that all the phones I've seen, except the Nexus 4 (which has BT problems) and the Xperia Z (which is too expensive) don't have the navigation bar / software on screen buttons.
I need that to do the 'home' and 'back' actions independently with my mouse (I can't click the right mouse button).
I don't want to use apps, like 'button savior' , and I prefer to NOT mess up with rooting, because I don't know how to and if it doesn't work - the phone isn't good for my physical needs...
That's why I need your help:
Are there any phones with built-in navigation bar / software on screen buttons like the N4?
If there aren't any phones with navigation bar / software on screen buttons, can I add it easily and safety to a phone like the Galaxy S Advance or any other phone?
Thanks!

[Q] various questions before buying this phone

hi guys! I may be buying this phone for me or my family, and would need a few answers from you that are already owners of this phone that seems very nice to me
hope you can help, and thanks in advance and in any case btw!
basically, I need to know if latest xposed fw and gravity box/xblast tools modules are working fine, I mean, at least the features I would need the most! (I read somewhere around they can installed but compatibility is not 100%).
most features I would need are:
1. centre clock + date in status bar (something like "WED 14/01 10:40" )
2. navbar edits such as adjustable navbar heigth and customazations such as long press back button to force kill a app, double tab on recents button to turn on torch, double tap on home button to make a screenshot, long-press home button to get power menu etc)
3. skip music tracks by long pressing volume buttons when phone is locked
4. volumer rocker wake
..so, can you please let me know if you could get all/some of them working in your honor 6? (If I'll get it, I'll get a H60-L04 model )
lastly, considering I am pretty sure AOSP quick toggles can't be used, is there a network mode quicktile already available in stock fw notification bar? (2g-3g fast switch toggle, as that's the toggle I need the most).
many thanks again bye!

Change the behavior of buttons (menu, home, back buttonS) on stock S2 PLUS

Hi guys!
I was wondering if there is an app or a tweak that I can use in order to customize the behavior of the buttons on our device, S2 PLUS. Shortly put, I would like to use the long-press menu button action to lock the device. I have searched for apps to lock/wake the device without using the physical button, but most of them use the proximity sensor or drain the battery - and I do not want apps that do that. Btw, I am running the stock version of Android 4.2.2 on my S2 PLUS, and the phone is rooted. Thanks!

How to disable single click home button? Or nav bar won't hide when keyboard on.

As most new users. I keep hitting the home button. I'm using SwiftKey. I tried the other two keyboard too.
I've tried turning on auto hide nav bar - but the keyboard is the only app that DOESN'T work with it.
I thought I could just disable one click home... No such option.
Installed gravity box - also no option.
Even if i could just move home left or right 1cm of be happy.
Any help you can offer is appreciated.
Edit :spelling
I have this problem too... Caused from writing too fast :laugh:

TBH, I used to be like that too. Had even slaved multiple functions to long presses of the Nav bar buttons. I was a hardcore NavBar-ist
Then I switched to gestures, and after swearing loudly - multiple times + continuously - while acclimatising to the entire idea, now that I'm used to it I really can't think of using any phones with Nav Bars any more.
Plus you get the bonus of NEVER getting NavBar Burn-In.
(And, TBH, I'm actually finding that the OP6 way of doing it a bit more intuitive then the Pie "pill" gestures, but eyyy that's probably just me)
ROOT option
ROOT - exposed - and "Custom Navigation Bar" module. which will let you do what ever the **** you want with navbar, including layout of buttons, and their possition
