[Q] How to root i3000 mtk6575 based phone

I bought a mtk6575 1Ghz android phone model number i3000 from China a while ago. It had no google apps installed, so I could not access play store. I can only side load some apps. After searching the net, I think the steps to install google apps are.
1. Root the rom
2. Install recovery rom
3. flash google app
I tried to use unlockroot with no success.
I also tried to flash recovery using MTK6575 N8000 flashing tools from another forum with no success. Hope I can get some help.

hi everybody,I good:finnally got this terminal rooted using this program ZhuoDaShi-2.2.0-setup.It's in chinese,it would be very interested someone translated it to english.I can't explain how I did it but i was testing it connected to my phone and i chose one option it looked like something in chinese ending in ROOT and then i saw the terminal updating and when it finished i could see in apps a new icon that it said Superuser and cheked it with busy box and root check and that was it,the phone was rooted.I have to say that all the time i was connected to the internet and besides the program installed another ico similar to the one of the program itself in the phone.I had already tried every kind of method i found,at least four or five an I didn' get it.I am sorry of not being able of more help.:good:

Although I do not have exact phone I'm in the same boat. mine has a MTK 6575 chipset. So i have tried nearly everything i could find in that subject. Ive tried following:
Root from restore (as mentioned above) and other simular variants
the TPSparky.bat
Manually doing the above via adb
MTK droid tools
droid unlock
( i know this is chicken before the egg, but nothing else is working) My course of action now is to load a new recovery (CWM) via SP Flash Tools in order to intall su and super user via an update process in recovery. SP says success, but standard recovery is still there. SP is connecting properly, I know this because i can flash a boot.img and soft brick the phone.
Also all the proper drivers are installed. The MTK preloader, and the ADB composite driver.

so i attempted the ZhuoDaShi-2.2.0-setup - and it failed. Scary course of action; not knowing Chinese.
I will be attempting unpack the boot.img, manipulate, then re-pack and flash.

Rooted after turning off virus scan but only half way to gapp
I tried ZhuoDaShi 2.2 today and it failed. It asked me to upgrade, so with nothing to lose, I upgraded to 2.3.1. Still no luck. It suggested that I should first did a factory reset, empty sdcard should be plugged in, stopped virus software before going forward. So I stopped my virus software and rooting was successful.
However, I am only half way there. There is no recovery rom for this model. I will be still waiting for gapps to install. Anybody has other suggestions.
Using ZhuoDaShi is a good one to start.

I tried adb push to install gapps. Manually copying from the gapps system folder to the system folder Now my phone cannot boot up. It is booting into recovery which there isn't one. Is there a factory reset button inside the phone that can unbrick my phone?:crying:

Hi,if you mean the I3000 I can give you everything you need to revive your phone but it will transform in Alps E8.Then you can rooted the way I will explain it to you and you can make it look like a Samsung Nexus S to Google,by editing the file build prop.The only thing I can't make it to work is the Google's location service.I can't make the Network location.apk install in the system\app file.Perhaps we all together could find a solution to this.Please tell me about it.

I got a rom from a Russian site. The scatter file is correct, the recovery works. But the secro.img did not. Now it loops forever on the android screen. I will try your rom since there is no loss for me.

Thanks for you rom. My phone is back to live. Gapps are already install. I rooted it with no problem. This is exactly what I want to begin with.

Si por supuesto.Aunque ya no tengo este terminal,en el enlace correspondiente de Dropbox,esta en una carpeta un archivo zip que lo tienes que poner en la sd externa.Una vez hecho eso reinicias en recovery y haces un update desde el menu de este recovery del citado archivo, es decir te ejecutara lo que contiene el zip y cuando reinicies normalmente ya lo tendras rooteado.Creo recordar que era asi,aunque tambien puedes utilizar una de esas fantasticas utilidades chinas,como Shuame,Zhuo Dashhi,etc,(lastima que no esten traducidas,aunque encontraras tutoriales en internet),que tambien pueden hacerlo.En el enlace de dropbox,deje en una carpeta publica todo lo que necesitas para el terminal.La Rom que contiene me la envio el vendedor y en ella ya esta rooteado y con el CWM Recovery instalado.

Hy Bro,
I knew of a colleague who did ROOT Bin4ry with v17. But I also used Bin4ry v29 and everything went well. Root MANY ANDROID! - Bin4ry
Now that I have a BLU TANK, created a CWM for this device.
If you are still interested, let me know.

I removed some of the text because I believe that for many devices BLU TANK 4.5 must be locked to perform the process with ROOT by Bin4ry.
Very important: Never forget to take backup of your contacts, messages, incoming links, applications, etc ....
That's for after ROOT without SPFT use all the time (read a lot about the application mobileuncletool.apk before using it):

Download the drivers depending on the OS of your PC. Use my signature for research and reading if any options, but too have in my forum ROOT, driver files for download and instructions.

Talking to you from facebook about k-touch u9 ...
I am just trying to root the phone, but no way.
Unable to isntall drivers adb.
Always, when choosing mtk65xx drivers, it install phone as samsung phone; then when using b4ry it run but nothing happen on the phone.
I was trying to delete the all references about samsung but ...nothing again.
Other thing is I am unable to fin you root forum here (new in xda).

See the gapps apk on the device. See previous post that my google account is working.
I asked for people to write me with your experience in "SP Flash Tool" (SPFT) and so far nobody wrote anything. It's very simple GAPPS want, however you must be careful with the whole process in SPFT so do not brick the device.
So far, 3 users (K-Touch and BLU TANK) and already have CWM and installed gapps in your phone. I'm waiting for a friend test it on device. After that, I will release the download link and writing process.
After that, if all goes well, also put link to TWRP recovery 2.5.0. I'm testing this myself on my device.
Wait a few days ....... have patience.

Yes. CWM releases many things for nice to have ROOT and mostly correctly installs MODs / applications. CWM then install GAPPS.

Download the spft and drivers, and learn how to install drivers, see post # 8 of 1st page.
I will not teach how to use SPFT. So if you do not know how to use it, do a search at xda and learn before using.

Edit: I had to remove gapps to be giving conflicting with the camera application. I will test other files.

After root on K touch U9 (Tank 4,5; first steps...
Well;
After the root I was out for a few holidays.
Now at home again, I installed the gapps from google Jelly beam.
Few minutes...looks like all working but normal keyboard aosp and Google Play.
keyboard now is freeze with Titanium as it was showing a window all the time.
Market; first two atemps:
- Using Market helper; no way, it says no Market or google services not found.
- Changing the build.prop in System; device name by galaxysII; no way also...

Before doing anything, get a copy of build.prop on your computer.

How did you succeed in rooting a S6790? I tried many things but to no avail for my S6790N. Thanks in advance for any piece of information.

hello brother can you please give me a tutorial on how to root this phone my model is the same as yours i made a real mess of it trying to get cwm flashed hoping it was going to also root in one step via odin . pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase help me attain root . one question is it a pc app (kingo android root) or an apk because i downloaded an apk and im being given the run around and no root i have found a guide on how to flash cwm to the phone though

Estou com o mesmo problema, não consigo instalar CWM se alguem puder ajudar fico muito feliz.
este tutorial e bem simples para fazer o root em seu fame lite.
no link a baixo tire todas as "@"

Arquivos necessários:
DF-ROOT: @http@://s03 @droidf@ame.zip.net/@DF-ROOT @apk
Como fazer o root:
1- Abra o df-root
2- Vá em "Fazer Root"
3- Escolha a opção "Root"
4- Agora vá em "Batal" e feche o aplicativo
5- Abra o SuperSU, ele vai pedir para atualizar o binário do SU, coloque em "Continuar"
6- Selecione a opção "Normal" e depois "OK"

I tried cydia impactor but it didn't work too i'm losing hope here, this device is probably unrootable

try framaroot or towelroot. you dont need pc for that just install the apk and follow the instructions
