[Q] How to root i3000 mtk6575 based phone

I bought a mtk6575 1Ghz android phone model number i3000 from China a while ago. It had no google apps installed, so I could not access play store. I can only side load some apps. After searching the net, I think the steps to install google apps are.
1. Root the rom
2. Install recovery rom
3. flash google app
I tried to use unlockroot with no success.
I also tried to flash recovery using MTK6575 N8000 flashing tools from another forum with no success. Hope I can get some help.

hi everybody,I good:finnally got this terminal rooted using this program ZhuoDaShi-2.2.0-setup.It's in chinese,it would be very interested someone translated it to english.I can't explain how I did it but i was testing it connected to my phone and i chose one option it looked like something in chinese ending in ROOT and then i saw the terminal updating and when it finished i could see in apps a new icon that it said Superuser and cheked it with busy box and root check and that was it,the phone was rooted.I have to say that all the time i was connected to the internet and besides the program installed another ico similar to the one of the program itself in the phone.I had already tried every kind of method i found,at least four or five an I didn' get it.I am sorry of not being able of more help.:good:

Although I do not have exact phone I'm in the same boat. mine has a MTK 6575 chipset. So i have tried nearly everything i could find in that subject. Ive tried following:
Root from restore (as mentioned above) and other simular variants
the TPSparky.bat
Manually doing the above via adb
MTK droid tools
droid unlock
( i know this is chicken before the egg, but nothing else is working) My course of action now is to load a new recovery (CWM) via SP Flash Tools in order to intall su and super user via an update process in recovery. SP says success, but standard recovery is still there. SP is connecting properly, I know this because i can flash a boot.img and soft brick the phone.
Also all the proper drivers are installed. The MTK preloader, and the ADB composite driver.

so i attempted the ZhuoDaShi-2.2.0-setup - and it failed. Scary course of action; not knowing Chinese.
I will be attempting unpack the boot.img, manipulate, then re-pack and flash.

Rooted after turning off virus scan but only half way to gapp
I tried ZhuoDaShi 2.2 today and it failed. It asked me to upgrade, so with nothing to lose, I upgraded to 2.3.1. Still no luck. It suggested that I should first did a factory reset, empty sdcard should be plugged in, stopped virus software before going forward. So I stopped my virus software and rooting was successful.
However, I am only half way there. There is no recovery rom for this model. I will be still waiting for gapps to install. Anybody has other suggestions.
Using ZhuoDaShi is a good one to start.

I tried adb push to install gapps. Manually copying from the gapps system folder to the system folder Now my phone cannot boot up. It is booting into recovery which there isn't one. Is there a factory reset button inside the phone that can unbrick my phone?:crying:

Hi,if you mean the I3000 I can give you everything you need to revive your phone but it will transform in Alps E8.Then you can rooted the way I will explain it to you and you can make it look like a Samsung Nexus S to Google,by editing the file build prop.The only thing I can't make it to work is the Google's location service.I can't make the Network location.apk install in the system\app file.Perhaps we all together could find a solution to this.Please tell me about it.

I got a rom from a Russian site. The scatter file is correct, the recovery works. But the secro.img did not. Now it loops forever on the android screen. I will try your rom since there is no loss for me.

Thanks for you rom. My phone is back to live. Gapps are already install. I rooted it with no problem. This is exactly what I want to begin with.

Si por supuesto.Aunque ya no tengo este terminal,en el enlace correspondiente de Dropbox,esta en una carpeta un archivo zip que lo tienes que poner en la sd externa.Una vez hecho eso reinicias en recovery y haces un update desde el menu de este recovery del citado archivo, es decir te ejecutara lo que contiene el zip y cuando reinicies normalmente ya lo tendras rooteado.Creo recordar que era asi,aunque tambien puedes utilizar una de esas fantasticas utilidades chinas,como Shuame,Zhuo Dashhi,etc,(lastima que no esten traducidas,aunque encontraras tutoriales en internet),que tambien pueden hacerlo.En el enlace de dropbox,deje en una carpeta publica todo lo que necesitas para el terminal.La Rom que contiene me la envio el vendedor y en ella ya esta rooteado y con el CWM Recovery instalado.

On the internet the Chinese say easy to eradicate root xperia c3 d2533 I would not tested eh eh tried frama ... towell ... 1- Never mess in any Chinese web Root whatever if U don't know Chinese and if u don't want to have a 100% bricked new smartphone.
2- now I'm going to root this since I give it to my mother as a (another) Gift Just to enjoy how much She does know now about something that for us is like playing minesweeper......But I'm proud how she can handle this things now.
But 1- Dont mess in Chinese webs.
(Sorry forum hope U don't get mad If I provide the answer also in Spanish for them)

1- NO entren por ningun motivo a paginas chinas si no sabes Chino y no quieren terminar con un equipo nuevo 100% brikeado
2- Ahora le regale este equipo a mi madre y tambien voy a darle root pero no antes de estar seguro (obviaente no desde una pagina china) de que mi modelo no tendra problemas.

I will tell you the Easiest Way.
Step 1 : Download And Install THIS app from playstore in your device.
Step 2 : Open the App, then you will automatically get an option in your statusbar that SuperUser binaries need to be updated, then click on that option and select "normal". After it completes, reboot your device.
Your device is now rooted.
No Need to Unlock Bootloader and No need to mess up with difficult methods.

Seems that the latest update of the xperia c3 is blocking the option to install the binaries.
But Still Tanks.
now Ill give some read here and there....tough im not in a hurry to do this on her movil.....would've nice Your Help would've work....

yes, you can not root Sony C3 follow steps of iSiddharth: that way can not root your Phone(C3)

root is OK, and safe your phone: pls backup all data on phone ( SD card no need) before rootting.

try framaroot or towelroot. you dont need pc for that just install the apk and follow the instructions

It's okay, or you could do a tutorial on how to do it. ?

The ROM works almost perfect, I been using it since December and I only have the issue whit the hotspot and the video recorder. But I don't know how to get the root working, cuz I know there's is an option in the settings to enable it, but don't do anything, and I want to know how to install SuperSU or magisk, can you please tell me how to do it?

Flash recovery using ADB & Fastboot. Just power off your phone and put it on Fastboot mode, then connect it to your PC and flash recovery.img typing:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
You need to have bootloader unlocked, if you don't, it isn't gonna work.

I think Huawei had deleted their website where you could get the code to unlock phone's bootloader. I don't know how to do it now, because I don't have this phone any more. Sorry ...:crying: Any way you can take a look at the following links and give them a try:
