[Q] How to fix samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 boot loop - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, My samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 stops at android after booting. It wont show anythings but keeps loading at android. How do i fix it.

Hold the volume up and power key together till you enter recovery, then restore backup. If you don't have backup then reflash the rom. You can also try clearing cache and dalvik cache before it. And i think it is the wrong section

No recovery
There is no clock workmod recovery installed so i cant recover any backup. It was only rooted

Use stock recovery, wipe, if that doesn't work do a restore.
Pp.
sent from my microwave running lollipop 5.0.

Mostly this problem can be solved by just doing a factory reset in the stock recovery..
If it doesnt help there is only 1 way
-installing stock firmware using odin.
Follow these steps.
1.download the stock firmware from this site.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
2. Now download odin app in ur pc/laptop.
http://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.10.6.zip
3. Now charge your device above 60%, and go to download mode (power button + vol down)
And connect your device to ur pc.
4. Open odin and then select the firmware you downloaded from PDA button.
5.make sure you dont check/uncheck anything in there.just select the firmware and click start.
6.during this process it is best not to disturb your device, and if you see it rebooting dont worry it is common it will reboot several times if necessary.
7.once it is completed it will show pass in the pc.
And your device must have to reboot automatically, now remove the usb cable.
8.give it some time for booting, if it doesnt get booted even after 20 mins you can just go to the recovery mode, this time you will see the stock recovery, there perform a factory reset
9.now you can reboot, you will come to the stock firmware you had at first.
HURRAY YOU SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM!!!!
Note- remember to install your USB drivers if odin doesnt recognize your device.
Always have your device charged above 60%

great!!! since you can enter download mode I am gonna say you the easiest way to get your phone back in running condition..
*Download ODIN (google for the download link or search here in forums)
*Download a stock firmware from samfirmware (www.sammobile.com/firmwares/) or from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647 and extract the downloaded file to .tar.md5
*Install samsung USB drivers.
*Get your phone into Download mode and connect it to PC via usb cable.
*Open ODIN and check if the com port section and turned yellow(this means your phone is recognised by ODIN).
*Once the port section is yellow open the PDA section in ODIN and point the downloaded stock firmware in it.(the firmware file should be of format "I9003DDLF2_I9003ODDLF2_I9003DDLE1_HOME.tar.md5").This format is just for example and it may vary depending on the stock ROM you dowloaded.
*Click the start button.
*Once finished the ODIN com port section will turn green and should report "PASS"
*Disconnect your phone and Power on.. wait for some time as its the first boot so it will take time so be patient.

tweeks are to to edit your build.prop and CWM(ClockWorkMOD) which allows you to create a backup point which you can restore via recovery and also let you flash ROM,MOD,etc and SuperUser is the app which comes into play after rooting which give root access to your phone/apps.
@themes:since you are on stock you can download any launcher like go launcher from market and download themes from there

To enter recovery mode you should press Volume UP+Home Button+Power Button.press it long enough till samsung logo passes by.. and even my screen fades when I try it manually... try it for 4-5 times till you enter in recovery and dont worry when screen fades, its not an issue...
maybe your kernel is not compatible with the present version of CWM and since its not compatible some features might have been disabled and its no big deal....Custom ROM is zip and should be flashed via recovery so that you can wipe data/cache/dalvik..

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzJut_BZm8NTdXhxQ0xScjFuOUk/edit?pli=1 download from here official firmware and follow instruction below step by step good luck.
Procedure:
Step 1: After successful downloading the Firmware package given above, extract it using Winrar. You’ll find the following files inside it: S5670DDKT3_S5670ODDKT2_S5670DDKT2_HOME.tar.md5, BENI_v1.0.0ps & ODIN_v4.38.
Step 2: Now switch off your Galaxy Fit completely and enter into downloading mode.
Step 3: For Fit, downloading mode can be entered by holding ‘Home Button (middle button) + Volume down key + Power Button’ simultaneously until the download mode appears.
Step 4: Keeping your device in downloading mode connect it to your PC using USB cable.
Step 5: Open ‘Odin Multi Downloader_v4.38‘ software from the firmware package folder which you have just downloaded & extracted on your PC. As soon as you open it, the ID:COM section in it will turn yellow. If it’s not showing, then check that a proper device drivers are installed on your PC. You can install them from the Samsung Kies CD which you’ve got at the time of purchase.
Step 6: Now select the OPS tab located on the Odin Downloader and select ‘BENI_v1.0.ops’ file from the Firmware package.
Step 7: On top left side on the Odin, you’ll find One Package option. Tick that so that the One Package option at the bottom gets highlighted. So click that One Package option and select ‘S5670DDKT3_S5670ODDKT2_S5670DDKT2_HOME.tar.md5’ file located in the firmware package folder. Do not check or un-check any other option from the Odin Multi Downloader. You may refer the screenshot given below.
Step 8: After attempting everything as mentioned above, start the process by clicking on the Start button located on the Odin window. Your phone will automatically reboot itself while going through the process. Do not touch or remove the USB cable until the process completes.
Step 9: The process will last upto few minutes to complete. As soon as it completes, you’ll see that the ID:COM section on the Odin window is turned blue with the message ‘Pass’ below it. This will confirm that you have properly flashed your Galaxy Fit with 2.3.6 DDKT3 Gingerbread. You can now disconnect your device by safely removing the USB cable.
Note: If the process fails or if Odin gets stuck or in case your device gets boot loops, then close the Odin window, remove battery from your Galaxy Fit and re-insert it. Again go into downloading mode and follow the same procedure as given above.
Step 10: After successfully completing the process, boot your device into recovery mode by holding Home button (Middle button) and Power button simultaneously until the recovery mode appears.
Note: Touch will not work here in recovery mode. So all you need to do is use Volume Up and Volume Down keys for navigation and Home button (Middle button) for selection.
Step 11: On the recovery mode, navigate to the ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ option followed by the ‘Wipe Cache partition’ option & select them to clear all the data and caches from your phone memory.
Step 12: Then go back to the main menu of recovery mode and select ‘reboot system now’ option to restart your device.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M keeps rebooting

Here's my problem:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M that keeps rebooting after trying to install a custom recovery so that I can root it.
What I did
I followed the steps (1 to 11), of Installing a custom recovery on Galaxy S mentioned in the following page:
wiki,cyanogenmod,org/w/Install_CM_for_galaxysmtd
After that, I simply unplugged the usb, there were no errors, and removed the battery and now what I get is the simply that my device reboots after the boot logo. IF I hold down volume + home + power I can boot in download mode. However, I cannot boot in recovery or in normal mode !
Here's a video of what it is doing youtube,com/watch?v=Wie9eZYyECw
What I have tried
Removing the battery and reboot the cellphone
I tried to redo step 7, heimdall flash --kernel zImage --no-reboot, but I still got the same error

You are not reading what you are typing.
Obvious answer: If you end up in the STOCK RECOVERY you simply do not have a custom recovery installed (Clockworkmod as you wrote). Get yourself a copy of a recent recovery from AndroidAndi's download repository (TWRP, Clockworkmod Swipe, PhilZ Touch), and flash the .tar.md5 of the recovery with ODIN in download mode.
Obvious question: How did you flash a ROM, other than some OTA Stock Samsung update on the device itself, in the first place when you don't have a custom recovery installed in order to do so?
EDIT: What exactly do you mean by "factory reset"? Did you re-flash your tablet with a Stock ROM? If that's the case, then any custom recovery you had installed was wiped and replaced with the stock recovery. Hence why you now don't have a custom recovery anymore.

Just to recap on the steps you should have done...
1. You downloaded the .tar.md5 of the recovery you want to install, from Android Andi's filehost, on your PC
2. You installed the Samsung USB drivers on your computer
3. You installed ODIN on your computer
4. You unplugged the tablet from the charger and powered it off
5. You took your tablet and HELD VOL-UP while you powered it back on (to get into bootloader mode)
6. You plugged the tablet in to the computer and waited for a moment while Windows was installing the driver
--- Here the story ends, according to what you wrote as you say ODIN does not find the tablet.
Well, are you sure you did the steps so far in that order? Can't be that ODIN doesn't detect the tablet when it's operational (read: no a total dead brick) and it's in download mode.
The ONLY problem possible: You installed Samsung KIES, and not just the USB drivers, on your computer. KIES interferes with ODIN. You need to exit ODIN, bring up the Task Manager (press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and select "Task Manager"), find "kies" and end the running process(es) - ignore any warning message.
If that's too complicated: Uninstall KIES and then find the "Samsung Mobile USB drivers" installation package ... with a bit of searching (just to assign some homework to you) you will the links right here in this forum section more than just once.
Once KIES is terminated, or uninstalled and just the USB drivers installed, start ODIN again ... now it should detect the tablet.
Once ODIN confirms that the tablet is detected...
7. Select the .tar.md5 of the recovery as the "PDA"
8. Flash the recovery. Once complete the tablet rebooted into the newly installed recovery.
As for on-device flashing. That's possible...
- Your installed ROM must be ROOTED (no root, no fun)
- You need Chainfire's "MobileODIN" (the free version from the Play Store would suffice), and you need to let MobileODIN install the "p311x flashkernel package" (I think with the free version you need to download it manually from Chainfire's thread and install it manually) - jump into Chainfire's thread and read on
Once you have Mobile ODIN installed it is just a matter of:
- Download the .tar.md5 of the recovery on your tablet once more (or transfer it over from your PC)
- Start Mobile ODIN
- Select the .tar.md5 of the recovery (should automatically be set as a "PDA")
- Flash and reboot into the recovery
However, as a fair warning ... as with every flashing of your device ... keep in mind something could go wrong (just to straighten it out that there's always room for user mistakes or murphy's law getting into the way ("Everything that can go wrong will go wrong"))

For future reference: keeping VOL DOWN UP held while powering on/rebooting the tablet takes you into the recovery in case you borked the system and selecting "Reboot" -> "Recovery" from within the _custom_ ROM's power menu is not an option (the Stock Samsung ROM does not have that option by default). Though keep in mind that this only works when the tablet is _NOT_ connected to the charger/computer ... when the USB cable is plugged in it seems to ignore the hardware keys.

Umm isn't recovery power and volume UP? At least that's how it is on my 7'' tablet and the 10'' I rooted and installed a ROM on.

Now that you mention it... yes, you're right jrc... "VOL DOWN" == Download Mode / "VOL UP" == Recovery (I failed to recall the "UP as in update.zip" association).

[Q] P6200 Bootloop Problem. Need to recover files.

Hi,
I have Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus (P6200).
The device was stuck in a bootloop sequence.
It boot until enter the main screen then it freeze then the screen is off then start the boot again.
I really need to recover the files from internal storage.
I've tried copy the file when it enter the main screen. But when I choose the folder, the device start to reboot itself.
I've tried using ADB. Get my self in recovery and the ADB can recognize the device. But the main problem is, I can't access the /data folder because I don't have any access. I tried SU on ADB Shell but I get Segementation Fault. I tried adb root and get ADBD cannot run as root in production builds.
is there anyway to save the data ?
Thank you
Write CWM witch Odin, then run CWM and plug in to PC and mount internal storage.

Quick faq
Run tab plus Vol down + power (go to download/upgrade mode)
Unzip recovery.tar.md5
Run Odin, select file recovery as PDA option, plug in tab plus to PC, wait for ID:COM flash as yellow, then press start.
Next step run CWM vol Up+ power
If u run CWM make backup your Rom on sd-card, mount internal flash, and many more.
Sorry for my ENglish

Wow, thanks !
Will try it right now.
I've tried the method, and when in download mode, the screen stuck in 100% download. But not reboot it self.
in Odin setting, I untick the auto reboot option and f reset time.
I was waiting for a while, still nothing happened. Then I manually turn off the device by holding the power button for about 5 seconds.
When I powered up the device again, the recovery still the same (Android Recovery 3e).
How long is the uploading progress take to complete ?
To flash CWM you need a few seconds
watch this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUAEFDYG4uk it is the same method on Glaxy S2.
Check or reinstall your Samsung drivers.

sorry for the link, I cannot write down a direct link in here because my current post in XDA is less than 10.
I've tried using Odin several times and still stuck in that screen.
If you Plug-In galaxy tab to PC then ID:COM flash in yellow like this screen odin connect? If not, you can't send any file to galaxy.
Last Chance: you can flash official firmware (from sammobile.com) with Odin, remeber do not select "re-partition" and "PIT" option, after flash u can ran your TAB and seve all data.

Yes, the Odin flashed yellow, and the report was a success.
The loading bar in the device is showing progress from 0 a 100 percent full bar, then it stuck there. Not like the others that automatically rebooting.
I don't know about flashing with official FW, i'am afraid that it will remove all my data.
Are you sure it wont remove my data ?
All your data will be safe, odin flash only system data files.
when I updated my TAB from ICS to JB witch Odin, after update must be meke FACTROY RESET to erase all data files on TAB.
