I currently have Franco Kernel v31 running with Mahdi Rom and multi-rom booting onto AK kernel with Caulkin Rom 44S. The issue is I enjoy AK with Caulkin more but the connection to my 5.0Ghz network is weaker. I understand the Franco uses a different WLAN firmware so is there a way of merging the WLAN drivers into AK? If so, how, if not are there any fixes anybody has come up with to boosting signal on the AK WLAN firmware drivers?
Thanks
Franco isnt using a different WLAN driver anymore. Both are using the same.

Thanks
That's strange though, I get a weaker signal on my 5.0ghz network from the same distance with AK vs Franco. Also I know this is off topic but calkulins Rom has inbuilt ad blocking, any way to get that on mahdi?

Hello everyone. I have been using cm9 rc2 since it dropped. I must say overall it's pretty great. I wanted to use a different kernel than the default but just can't seem to get one working. The main reason I want to change kernel's is because I'm getting random reboots and SOD. I have flashed all variants of guveor's kernel and the best I get is wifi flashing on and off with the aokp variant. Harmony kernel doesn't have working wifi and those are the only kernels that are apparently available. Anyone have any luck?
Does anyone know a ROM or kernel that will support over clocking on the Nexus S running Kitkat 4.4.4 ?

Devil kernel is still compatible and overclocks..
I'm using Guru Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-s/development/kernel-guru-t2783561 with Omni CM 11 KK 4.4.4 and can OC to 1.4, it also has memory booster to 409MB. Perfect stability except when using the camera, but I had that problem with the Matr1x kernel in JB Omni too even with a 1.2OC. I just remove the OC if I need to use the camera, which is rarely.
the OmniROM that you can find HERE is a 4.4.4 with selectable OC in the settings menĂ¹
I'm using the latest official nightly CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20140828-0903-falcon.zip. Is anybody successful flashing a custom kernel? I tried xperience, pink, green machine... but all of them seem to have issues. Like no wifi or trickster mod settings won't stick.
Are there another custom kernel that works? I don't like the kernel from carbon.
Thanks

Maybe I'm lucky, but suddenly there is a new kernel with all the features i need. And it is working perfectly with Carbon.

I am having difficulty getting Franco Kernel to work, I just get a constant boot loading screen and have to force shut down, anyone know of any issues?
Cleared cache and dalvik before and after install and am using the right version for my device.
Same here
Flashing Franco's Kernel R24 and R42 for OPO resulted in hanging boot on logo. Reflash full rom and apps fixed it. But unable to flash Franco Kernel.
it always drops the connection and freezes. I hope it will be fixed soon
Yeah, I'm still dealing with this too. The data connection sometimes fails as soon as I connect, sometimes it takes 10 minutes to several hours.
Did you ever find a solution?
I've got WireGuard (v1.0.20220516) running fine on my none rooted Pixel7 pro.
Do you guys have a rooted phone?
Wireguard working flawleslsly in kernel module mode rooted with custom kernel. Thank you @Freak07 + @DespairFactor .

It's part of the stock kernel as well.
Wireguard is the protocol I use on VPN and it works perfectly. Stock kernel, rooted.
Complete Stock Wireguard works perfekt
Works pretty stable for me in userspace, kernel module i often have to pull down my quick nav seeing it flashing and then it connects. Kernel mode works def less stable than on my old phone. Haven't checked in details yet, but lets hope the December update had any commits for it.
Been using Wireguard on my Pixel 7 Pro since I got it wothout isuue. It connects super fast.
