[Completed] [Q] Development issue on galaxy gt5830i - XDA Assist

Hi, i was trying to install stock ROM on galaxy gt5830i (ace) because it was bricked, and i accidentally installed the ROM of galaxy gt5570i, now im stuck i tried to go download mode using adb (since i cant use buttons its a different ROM) and could only go to recovery, now im stuck in recovery since there's no choice to press, volume up works as volume up and home button work as volume down, the volume down button doesn't work at all, and i cant make selection using either or using power button, im stuck in recovery and no option to use Odin, i literally bricked the phone, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi,
Flashing files not made for exact model of device can often lead to a brick unfortunately. Must always be careful and read read read before doing anything.
However, I would ask for opinions from members who own your device, here...
> Legacy & Low Activity Devices > Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830, S5830i, Ace II > Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [FAQ][HELP THREAD]Ask any questions here about s5830i/c/m/9i
Good luck!

Hmm ... I think you flashed the wrong recovery (for GT-N7000) to your Notes 2 (GT-N7100).
So try to flash the correct recovery to your Note 2. To do this, you need to boot it into download mode again.
Here you can find the Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100, N7105 > Galaxy Note II Android Development > [n710x/T889][CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch - NEW JB 4.2 migration support thread.
And here you can ask further questions if needed: Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100, N7105 > Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.
Or ask in the Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100, N7105 > Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [NOOB FRIENDLY] Ask the question! [N7100 and other variants] thread to get quick and proper help.
Nothing appear on screen

If neither recovery mode (hold Volume UP + HOME + POWER) nor download mode (Volume DOWN + HOME + POWER) works, then it sounds like a hard--brick.
Usually after flashing a wrong recovery you only get a semi- or soft-brick with download mode still working.
Please check again ... maybe the screen is black but the device is going into download mode.
And post your question in the linked help thread. There are many experienced users having the same (or a similar) device. So they may have additional ideas.

So it's a special version of the SGS3.
And holding Volume DOWN + HOME + POWER keys does not work any more?
Have a look here: Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) > Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q] Rooting Galaxy S III SCL21.
There are some useful links to hopefully fix your bricked phone.
Else you may ask in the Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 Galaxy S III > Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] Galaxy S3 Ask any question. thread ... but it's originally for the international variants of the S3.
Good luck :fingers-crossed:

If neither download mode nor recovery mode is working, your device is hard-bricked.
AFAIK only a mainboard replacement can fix this.
But ask in the linked threads/forums before spending the money for a hardware replacement in a service center.
If you are still on warranty, feel lucky

[Completed] [Q] Samsung GT-S5839i display not lighting up

Hi guys,
I need some input about peopel with more experience than me
My GT-S5839i screen won't display anything any more. When I turn it on, it simply turns a dim green, not noticeable if you're in a light environment.
There is no particular way I can explain this, I had just changed the ROM and it seemed to be working perfectly.
I basically would like to know what my chances of getting it back to work are. I know a lot about ROMs and co, but I'm not really into electronics and hardware. Would changing the LCD work? Or is it "deeper" than that? (The device has been overclocked mercilessly...).
Thanks for your answers,
Chris.

[Completed] [Q] Help with Samsung S2 (Bell) ... bricked for sure

Hi Gurus,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 from Bell (Canada) i9100M. I may have tried to root the phone unsuccessfully in the past and did not use the phone after that, now when I power the phone up, all I see is a Phone exclamation triangle and a PC.
I am an amateur in this dept and searched this forum, tried Odin but no luck, here what I tried:
I tried Odin3 (v1.85, v3.04 and 3.07) with Stock ROMs or CWM and it always get stuck at write nand start or sbl bin around FactoryFS or SBL1. I tried different USB cables even different PC but no luck, all the videos about unbricking a phone looks easy and smooth but I am stuck.
Can you gurus help me with step by step instructions assuming that phone has nothing on it or how to completely wipe it in case its completely corrupted and reflash it, can my phone be saved?
Please help
Thanks in Advance
Z (Calgary)

[Completed] Problem while installing a ROM

Hey,
I am a newbie at installing roms, last night I gave it a shot.
I got into clockworkmod and wiped data- which deleted everything.
I thought it would only wipe settings not my pictures and stuff. but it did.
Now everytime I try entering clockworkmod I get this error
" A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications.
If you want to download a custom OS, press the volume up key,
Otherwise, press the volume down key to cancel."
can you please suggest what I should do.
I have a mac computer so that doesnt help much either.
I have a galaxy s4 -9505 -I377M using it in canada.
it has 5.0 lollipop installed.
