[Completed] [Q] Need help- Lenovo s930-rooted- system update fails - XDA Assist

Hi there
I have a lenovo s930 came with jelly bean and later I upgraded it to Kitkat using the official update from Lenovo.
Then I rooted the phone (in kitkat)..Now there is another official update from lenovo, 331Mb in size..
I have tried system restore, then also the updates gets downloaded completely but shows the update failure message after rebooting..
I tried to use Vroot to unroot the phone, but it doesnt get detected.
I am looking forward to unroot the phone and install the update..question is how can I unroot it..
Any suggestions or ideas please...thank you in advance

Hi,
You need the stock recovery and an unaltered system partition to get the update. So xposed? That would need to be uninstall correctly if you have it.
I can not find a relevant thread on this to help you, so you will need to ask for help here,

Good day!
I have a tecno phantom Z phone running on ANDROID 4.4.2 MTK CHIPSET .
CWM recovery was installed on the device and its preventing OTA updates. any help please?
Hi,
Sounds like you need to reflash your stock firmware, or at least your stock recovery. Unfortunately I cannot find anything helpful on XDA on that for your device. You may need to contact the manufacturer for files and instructions. You can ask here also,

[Completed] [q] help help help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everybody,
I am having a datawind ubislate 7cx tablet (it's a bad tablet) since 2 years and I have been trying tweaks to make it better than the worse when it came. when the lollipop apk's came, I downloaded all of them and replaced from my current apk's (I have the backup of them). but after doing that it is not booting and stuck at the datawind screen. please HELP HELP:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Hi,
I'm not sure what Lollipop apps you mean? If they are for a different device and you replaced your system apps with them, you definitely would have big issues. You likely need to flash your factory firmware again to correct this now. Unfortunately I can find nothing on XDA that can help. So asking here will be best,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
And I suggest a more constructive thread title. To highlight your issue better.
You could contact the manufacturer about factory files and flashing instructions also. Might be your best option.
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] Upgrade Lenovo A269i

Hello everone. I have a lenovo a269i 2.3.6 GB and I want to upgrade it to JB. I did some research and tried to install some custom roms of lenovo from needrom.com using carliv's recovery, but none of them have worked. I've rooted my device, so whenever i tap on OTA upgrade the settings stops suddenly:crying:. I'm still new, so is there any ways to install android 4.0 on my phone?
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device. I suggest you try the Lenovo website to see if there's been an update, but I doubt it myself.
Otherwise you will need to ask about it here,

[Completed] [Q] bricked kyocera hydro life

hello i recently aquired and rooted a hydro life and shortly after bricked it while attempting to install drivers through chainfire3d root. my phone is now stuck in a bootloop. is it fixable? maybe using 1 click root app like root genius? any insight will help. I already tried factory reset in stock recovery. someone please help thanks
Hi,
Here's a thread on rooting your device,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/metro-pcs-kyocera-hydro-life-rooted-t2870678
Though I doubt that will help your issue. You likely need to flash your stock firmware again. I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device though. You may want to contact the manufacturer about firmware and flashing instructions.... You can ask for help here too,

[Completed] [Q] restore stock firmware to lenovo s6000H tablet

Lenovo s6000H tablet
I rooted my tablet for the first time yesterday and deleted some system files using titanium backup which did some serious damage. I could not use the calendar app, neither the system update works :crying:
To get everything back to normal, I did a factory reset and thought everything will be fine. But matters are worse now. My tablet now is worse, older software and it can't be updated.
How do I flash the stock firmware into my tablet?
My current build no is S6000_a422_101_022_131101_ww_sms
And software version is S600_130519
I have downloaded S6000_A422_101_016_130906_WW_SMS and the latest version of SP flash tool v5.something
But I have no idea what to do with these
I seek help.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately there isn't a dedicated section for your device on XDA, so I think your best bet would be to post your question in the general q&a section here:
