Maybe a stupid question. I know emoji have their own Unicode code points and when in a message app like LINE or WhatsApp you send an emoji, the image is not being send but the UTF-8 (or UTF-16) encoding for that emoji in Unicode.
I was wondering how the LINE app sends a sticker. All these thousands of stickers are not in Unicode. So does LINE send it the same way as when you upload a photo? Or do they have a prorpietary encoding for all these stickers?
Just wondering how it works.

Hi. I was wondering if there is any program that does the following: When you click on a shortcut it will pop up the new message user interfece with the "To" box prefilled by some number(s) and the msg box also prefilled by some text (see the attached picture) and the cursor is after that text. So you may add additional text if you want before you press send. The predefined numbers and msg are obviously configurable.
One example of the use is that, say you send a twitter direct msg to someone regularly using an sms service (not a twitter app which requires internet). Then you can prefilled the "To" box with the twitter number and the msg box with "D username ". So you can add the msg you want after D username and press send. (I often forgot to write "D username" which results in my msg sent to all my followers, LOL)
I did some search and found some apps like GroupSMS, PowerSMS. But none of these does what I just described. Some have a schedule SMS feature which you can send a specific msg to specific number(s) at a specific time, but I want to have some control (e.g. adding more msg) before I send it.
Thanks and sorry for the long explanation
Hi,
I would like to send long text as multimedia message. How can I do? In android I add object to message, but I dont know How It is there.
I have HTC 7 Trophy with WinPhone 7
Two options:
1: Attach a photo or something.
2: Enable the Group Messaging option, and add an additional recipient (could even be yourself, I think).
There may be others, but those are the ways that I know of to force MMS.
hi guys! i have a korean optimus 2x phone (codename SU660). in Korean each sms has length of 80 symbols (may be they use unicode for encoding Korean text). so when i send text messages in English, even when using 3rd party apps like Go SMS or Handcent my sms is limited at 80 symbols. if i compose a longer one, the reciever will only recieve the first 80 symbols of the message. i only can send a 160-symbol message which will cost me double the fee. i tried deleting the stock messaging app by titannium backup but Go SMS still can send sms. so i think there is something in charge of sending messages in android. do u knows what it is? can i modify it or replace with another one from other rom?
Searched and can't find any.
I'm looking for a text to pdf converter/printer. The only one I found in the Market is "Text to PDF Converter", however it doesn't support UTF-8 and malforms extended characters.
Anyone know of one that would work?
Has anyone seen an SMS app for android with a text input field that expands to accommodate longer messages? Seems ridiculous to have to scroll through a 2 line field. I've tried about 5 different ones but cannot find it.
Yaata??
